Because he’s coughing brown phlegm, ear throat hurting, aching back and temperature, that’s why they wanted us to ring 111 but because he’s got a Temprature they won’t give anything or even test him, so he’s in bed suffering, we even went to A & E yesterday and got the same treatment, if you say temperature they run for the hills :noidea:

Sounds awful but on the positve side they describe the cough associated with CVirus as a dry one and ' not bringing anything up' , apologies to those reading this and having their breakfast.:fingers crossed:

Take care both of you and keep us posted please.:spinning:

that’s the thing...... he’s not got a dry cough, you could say ear infection and they run off, don’t bother ringing 111 unless your not breathing, in that case it’s too late :thud:

            Good day everyone
I'm sure the virus is not surviving anywhere outside my place today as it is just now getting up to -9c that's 15f . The skies are completely clear and mother nature is blowing fresh cold air at high speeds (around 40 km) and gusting to "blow me over".

The heater in the greenhouse is keeping the inhabitants a toasty 57f and later I'll probably have to vent it when the sun hits it. :blue thumb:

I've got bread dough started. One will be with hot peppers and the other plain and both will be formed into buns. I will give some of them to the fellow coming today to pick up model railroad equipment that I am donating to their club. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping they will also want the shelving I had it stored on - it is pristine and sturdy and light.

I've got a load of laundry started and three more to do. Two loads are small because they are whites (bleach being added) and then hand wash cycle for another and hang to dry.

Best get going here. Have vacuuming to do. Now I've got the cellar sorted and having disturbed all corners and it's dusty everywhere, it's time to suck it up!

Take care all and many happy birthdays :)

If that's the case then @Flumpy my next action would be to get back to your GP and say what has happened and suggest ( plead...grovel ...) that despite the fact that you fully understand that in normal circumstances antibiotics shouldn't be used indiscriminately in your hubs case you feel that you have no other option left but to request some in the hope that if it is a bad ear / throat infection it will help clear it up and ease this discomfort.

@Flumpy I hope your hubby gets sorted out and better quickly.

Today it's very sunny but a very cold wind. I've wrapped up warm and have been mowing and shall go back out there to do some more if I can.

Keep well all of you. :grphg:

Well Upsydaisy I took your advice and got back onto his GP and they finally put us onto Prestwich walk in centre, you can only go in one at a time, but it turns out he’s got Tonsillitis, whys it took four days to get that far :rolleyespink: we’ll at least the antibiotics will get working on him now, he’s asleep now resting :dbgrtmb: thanks everyone for all your well wishes x

Aw that's good news...not that I want your hubby to be ill...but that it isn't this Cvirus.

Once the antibiotics kick in he will undoubtedly feel a lot more comfortable.
