@Flumpy It seems to be longer and longer every year. Some global warming! It won't be sitting outside weather for about 6 weeks. We have two month of summer, 3 months of autumn, 3 months of winter, 2 months of sprinter and 1 month of spring.. At least that's how it feels!

We are not allowed open fires of any kind so maybe some medicinal alcohol will have to do....:heehee:

              Aloha everyone,

It's sunny, nippy and windy but the lilac is starting to open. :)

Our cousins' Zoom meeting went very well and all twelve of us had a great time. We have set a date for another next Sunday but have moved it from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. as we are going to invite cousins from around the world as well as more from here. :blue thumb: We're starting off with inviting another dozen.

I did a lot of hand digging with a trowel yesterday and a couple of hours later my neck and shoulder went into spasm and I couldn't move my head. Mrs Shiney managed to release it with massage but it has been very painful and I still can't turn my head. The silly thing is that I did the digging with my left hand and it's the right side that spasmed.

              Keep well

              Aloha!

It's[IMG] and another new week to be out there enjoying our gardens.

A bit late checking in this morning as I've come across the video diary on YouTube about someone's journey on taking on an allotment.....it's informative and funny, she has such a natural way of speaking to her camera...she includes her family, even gives her kids an Easter Egg hunt all around her plot and allotment wars...neighbours dumping their rubbish on her plot...and her attempt to create a pond. Very good indeed.

She'll brighten your day for sure.

                    Good day
@shiney I cannot add. The missing month usually is winter. We had spring weather right in the middle of this winter. And I believe it will stay cold until June, then someone will turn the heat on and we will get late spring/early summer, not early spring!

It is bright and sunny but again, well below freezing. I guess I'm a little more fed up with it this year because of the lack of socializing. Could be worse. At least I have lots of friends to miss seeing!

Oh, and @shiney I can tell when I've spent too much time mousing on my computer. I am right handed and use that for the mouse and after a lengthy session, my left shoulder aches. I have to rest my left forearm on the top of my head to alleviate the pain and loosen it up.

Take care all and keep safe :)

                        Aloha everyone,

I alternate mousing from left hand to right hand by swapping it over every three days. It helps with the arthritis in my thumbs. :blue thumb:

After a non-gardening day yesterday I have recovered sufficiently to be on light duties today. So have trimmed the edges of the veg plot as the sun rose and shall do some mowing today. The new mower only needs a press on the electric starter instead of using the tough pull start on the old one. I shall need to make sure that I don't let the grass box get too full otherwise I shall have to get Mrs S to empty it :hate-shocked:

The lilac and laburnum are bursting into flower. :)

                        Keep well

                        Aloha!

                          How's everyone today?
Another beautiful sunny start to our day, going to try and get certain jobs in the garden done this morning as certain areas are just too hot to do the more physically demanding ones by the afternoon.

That's my plan...but no doubt I'll get distracted and end up doing them in the heat.:heehee:

Keep safe and sound and enjoy your day.:spinning:

                            Good day
@Upsydaisy you would have no problem with the heat in my back garden. Our high today is going to be 37f, let me find the translation, yes, 2C. And it is very windy. I am so glad that I got the new cover made for the wood pile yesterday and all of the wood rearranged to place the newest on the bottom. I didn't realize how much wood I have now that is suitable for the wood oven. It only takes 12" lengths unlike the fireplace in my living room that takes much larger logs.

Even though it is still cold, I am getting the wheels on the van changed over to the ones with my summer tyres. The fellows that store my wheels and changeover are needing business in these times so I'll sanitize the steering wheel and handles and controls and keep my distance too when I go there.

Got other things on my to do list and glad that there is nothing unpleasant on it. One is using some of my heavy cream to make an ice cream base - think it will be double chocolate :)

Have a lovely day all and take care of your bodies. True play time is on the way (our province has now reached the peak of the curve for COVID-19) and we want to be in shape for when we get let on the loose!

It'll be ready to churn it tomorrow and I'll hand you a bowl then. I also made a vanilla base and some butterscotch to ripple in after churning. You'll get butterscotch ripple on Thursday :)

I am now ptting the finished products in 3 ounce cups otherwise I'd end with a beehind the same width as my axe handle! :heehee:
