        Aloha everyone,

I'm not getting on here all that much at the moment as I'm too busy with other things, including gardening.

Our 'Zooming' sessions with family around the world has expanded and is taking up quite a lot of time. We have lots of cousins (and some siblings) and some of them we haven't seen for years. The bigger sessions are rather chaotic with people all talking at once. The biggest session had 42 of us! Although Zoom officially limit sessions to 40 minutes they seem to be allowing us unlimited time (probably because of Covid and also it's good PR). With the big sessions 40 minutes is definitely enough - but they don't stop! :hate-shocked:

Under the new slight differences in distancing we should be able to allow people to come round and look at what plants we have for sale - one person at a time - and it will help the charity. We weren't prepared for that, haven't done anywhere near as many plants as usual and not bothered to present the ones we have nicely. More work!

I'm now playing more bridge online and am in the process of setting up, with another club I work with, a virtual club. We hope to have it up and running before the end of the month.

We also have the decorator in to paint the outside of the summerhouse (inside to be done later in the year) and he spent all day yesterday cleaning and prepping it. A very hardworking and meticulous worker. He brought all his own goods - kettle, makings etc.

We spent two days moving the hundreds of pots that were around the outside of the place and pressure hosing the mess that was left visible.

        Keep well

        Aloha!

            Good day
The skies are a lovely blue and such a nice change from the chilly greys of the past umpty days. It is still cold though. It is not up to freezing yet even with the sun.

I'm doing a drive way drop of some plants at a friend's home. Three hanging baskets and a large planter. It is his birthday today and I will sing Happy Birthday from the sidewalk. Hope his neighbours will still be on speaking terms after that... He brings the empty planters back every fall and I start seeds in them in the winter for the following birthday delivery.

I've also got some dough on the go. Will be giving him some Chelsea buns and baguettes too.

I hope everyone has a safe day and @Upsydaisy my thoughts are with you. Hugs. Lori

Thank you, for being here. Having a very bad day with the M.E and not a hope of any real gardening and it depresses me mightily. There is always tomorrow... could not just now knock the skin off a rice pudding, let alone plant etc. I did a tiny amount of informal weeding very early. Again, thank you .

                    Aloha everyone,

Yesterday I was very busy with shopping, being online with people and gardening - not to forget resting and cooking :). We are starting to get people popping round, by appointment, to look for plants they want and to pick up orders as the easing of lockdown allows them to. It's all much needed money for the charity. :blue thumb: Two more appointments today so far. We also had someone with slight learning difficulties (he has problems communicating with people but otherwise OK and has been driving for 50 years) come round for his stock of frozen meals that we cook for him. He lives in town and doesn't like to be away from his rescue dogs that he looks after. So we drop everything we are doing and package them for him as soon as he arrives.

Tomorrow we have someone coming out from town by bus to the village and walking from there. She's a friend that is being driven mad by the new neighbours who are renovating the house before moving in and have been knocking down walls and banging away all day for the last ten days. She's coming to sit in our garden for some peace and quiet for the afternoon and her hubby will pick her up on his way back from work.

Keep well and have a good day

                    Aloha!

@shiney it sounds like you are doing a fantastic job/service, to people local to you, and also offer some much needed respite that that particular lady needs.

                            Good day
@shiney I'd like to come and sit in your back garden too- it's got to be warmer than mine! That said, yesterday afternoon was lovely. I played hooky yesterday and puttered in the sun outside for hours.

That said, it will be cloudy, in the 40's today and over night as well. They haven't guessed any more nights below 40 from now on. I'll be moving plants from the heated greenhouse into the unheated ones. Some plants will stay in those all summer such as my Shineybrids . The Shineybrids are already starting to throw out little flowers and need to get some space/potting up. Their pots are ready for them :)

Last night I received my new order of more outdoor fabrics and faux leathers for purse making. I had ordered several one yard pieces of items that were being discontinued and therefore low priced. Some of the pieces are clearly a lot more than one yard which is a bonus for me! Of course I have yet to get one purse started because the masks will keep my busy for a few weeks and then I had a client drop off her outdoor cushions for me to make new corded covers. At this rate it will be a rainy summer day hobby.

I hope everyone is keeping their distance and the germs from touching them. Have a good day :)

Thanks @moyra, I'm doing Ok...I feel like I'm walking through a bad dream at the moment....he has been such a big part of my life , especially since my Mum passed away. There is now a huge gapping void.

I think I will feel better when we have the final closure, but there is a huge backlog so his funeral will be ages away, they can't even give us a date yet...only sometime in June.

I have been looking in to make sure everyone is OK.....just not feeling very sociable at the moment.

                                Take care everyone.:spinning:
