    Good day
@Upsydaisy I know how you feel. It takes time, lots of time, for the grieving to come down to what feels manageable. Also please know that just like your Mum, your Dad is still with you in many ways. Look at yourself. There they are. Perhaps your hands are like your Mum's or your smile is like your Dad's but for sure their genetics are there for you to see. Lots of little parts of you, such as your laugh, are there to remind you of them. Your good manners are something they gave you and you will keep forever. Hugs from me. Lori

@moyra you'd be surprised at how darned boring it is making these masks. 500 masks x 6 pieces to make each = 3,000 pieces to put together :thud: It is a one time deal for me. I could not work in a factory doing this. The one advantage is that I can go like crazy when it is raining and then get time outside when it is pleasant.

I just brought up the tomatoes, rosemary, one cannabis plant and some late germinating, puny begonia seedlings from the cellar and set them outside as it is fairly warm- up in the 40f's :)

And later I'll go to pick up something for supper from my friend's pub to help support them during this lockdown. I've also got some fudge for him that I made last night. It is from his Mum's recipe :)

I hope everyone has a pleasant day and keeps well. :blue thumb:

      Aloha everyone,

We've had a busy day today. People coming round for plants and for remedies, our person who helps in the garden was here and the decorator has finally finished this afternoon - two days late. He's meticulous about his work and has done an excellent job.

I've made a protected area (from rabbits) for the sweetcorn to be planted and after I plant them I need to protect them from the pigeons. I'll have to try and protect the beans from the pigeons when I put them in on Sunday as they stripped every leaf and stem up to 18" last year. The rabbit protection is there permanently.

I then started boxing up the beans that are being collected. Sarafi decided to help and had to check every box to see whether it was comfortable for him to lie in!

      Have a good evening

      Aloha!

          Aloha everyone,

No frost but no sunshine this morning. I now have more people coming round for their plants so I had better get their orders done.

          Keep well

          aloha!

Good morning all, @shiney I am glad that things are picking up from the plant point of view, it means all is not lost because of the cancelation of your open day. Have a good day, I trust that you are all keeping fit and well and stay safe and well.
            God bless. :wub2:

              Good day
Whilst the kettle was on the boil, I moved the rest of the cellar dwellers outside and will plant them in the beds later because it is going to be a sunny day and in the teens Celsius.

I've got lots of indoor work left to do but there are lots of rainy days predicted this week in which to do them :)

@shiney I hope you have success this weekend with selling lots of plants. I'm betting that "19" is going to make people garden even more than usual this year and perhaps work in your favour. Something good needs to come from all this!

Have a lovely day and keep well :blue thumb:

                    Aloha everyone,

We sold quite a lot of plants. Virtually all the bean plants have now been picked up so we shall now be sending out a list of what other plants we have ready.

It's rather overcast at the moment but the forecast is warm with sunny intervals and getting hot during the week. Lots of watering is essential here in Shineyland as the ground is cracking up again.

A lot of Zooming and Skyping yesterday and more today.

                    Keep well

                    Aloha!

Aloha, it’s grey and overcast here too, hope the sun comes out later. My water hose has burst so taking a long time to water, so on the search for a new one, have a nice day all and big hugs to Upsydaisy :grphg:

                        Good day
It is sunny but we are told that later, around noon, clouds will move in and it will rain until Wednesday. So, I'd best get outside as quickly as possible and finish planting out some of my seedlings and also put down some grass seed to take advantage of the free, evenly distributed water :)

Have a good day and play safe :)

                              Good day
@moyra I've got to admit that the restrictions are starting to get on my nerves. I don't know anyone who has had 19 and I truly believe that it would be safe to socialize with my circle of friends as they don't know anyone who has it either and all have been pretty much on their own for months. I also am fed up with people acting as though every can of food on the grocery shelves is covered with the virus. Nonsense and poppycock. Yes, we have to be careful with our vulnerable (elderly and immune compromised) but other than that, we should just get on with it and have the herd immunity built up. Keep washing our hands and be vigilant.

It is raining and cool but no worries of frost as the lowest it is forecast to go at night from now on is 45f.

I'm grabbing the rainy days (today and tomorrow) to attack my sewing and get as much done as possible. Pedal to the metal time!

I hope everyone gets to spend their day pleasantly and stay safe!

I know what you mean Lori my son is driving me crazy with the restrictions he is placing on me. Once I get hold of some face masks I am heading out into the area to have a walk round. He wont like it but I shall do it. Like you I do not know anyone who has been down with the virus.
