      Aloha everyone,

My nephew, and his whole family, have had it and he is still sick, but recovering, after nine weeks. He's still quite weak. A cousin, one of those we meet on family Zoom, has already lost five friends .

I go out for walks. so did Mrs Shiney but she hasn't done so for three weeks because of an injury, and I go shopping - masked and gloved and very careful. As I either go very early or very late (just on shop opening or closing) they're not too crowded and people are good at distancing. Friends in London say that too many people are ignoring distancing.

We had five people round yesterday, by appointment, for plants and a wander round the garden. This fits under the new restriction rules - by Shiney interpretation :heehee:

Temperature due to reach 77F today and still no rain.

      Keep safe

      Aloha!

Good morning everyone, @shiney sorry to hear so many of your relations and friends have fallen foul of the virus. Have a good day everyone, keep warm and dry and above everything safe and well.
        God bless. :wub2:

          Good day
It is still cloudy and miserable but I know that the skies will be clearing overnight tonight and with that in mind, I'm going to sew like crazy to finish today's aggressive goal, then get lots of chores done inside and be ready to burst outdoors tomorrow :)

I've got my new fittings for the side fence electrical wiring but I don't like the colour so will be painting them to blend in with the fence and be more or less camouflaged. I do need to go buy the paint to do that but I also need to get a few other things at the hardware store. Somehow, I've lost a screwdriver from my kitchen set and need to get a replacement for it. I also need more grass seed and maybe some more topsoil.

I also need to buy some more sugar to make fudge. A friend wants some fudge and I only have it made with CBD oil so I need to make a batch without for her.

So that's it, work in the morning and scurry for supplies in the afternoon.

I am sad to hear that @shiney and @Flumpy know people affected by the virus. I hope there's lots of happy news to come about full recoveries:fingers crossed:.

              Aloha everyone,

The weather forecast was wrong when it said it would reach 77F yesterday. It went over 80F and it's over 60F now and going to be hotter than yesterday. I've done a couple of hours out there.

They're resurfacing/top dressing our road today and have been moving at 15 m.p.h. Seven lorries dropping gravel/tarmac with others heating it and rollers following. There's going to be lots of loose gravel for weeks! Bin men come today so I hope they can get past.

              Keep well

              Aloha!

                  Good day
Beautiful clear blue skies greeted me this morning. I plan to spend the afternoon outside as it is expected to be in the low 60's which is absolutely perfect for working around the yard and for paint drying.

I'm headed out to line up at the hardware store for the spray paint for the new insulator holders for my electric fence wire.

And after I've done my shopping and then the painting, it's on to seedling pot rinsing. A wonderful day for the pots to dry quickly and allow me to get them stowed away and ready to use next winter.

We're expecting it to be in the 70's by Friday and over the weekend. It will cool a little next week but who cares? Carpe Diem!!!

                          Good day
The skies are mostly clear again and it is supposed to be a warm day. I have a friend popping by to pick up some of my CBD fudge. She has a mask to wear (I know because I made it for her) while she is here for a few minutes and I'm going to make a loaf of bread for her to take as well. She is a delightful lady and deserves pampering.

I've got loads to do both inside and out. The elastic for the masks has arrived so I have to cut one thousand pieces and insert them into the sides of the masks, join and spin the seam inside the 500 masks, then package them ready for pick up. I figure it will take me a couple of three days to do this but it is really exciting because it is the light at the end of a very tedious tunnel! My goal today is to get 150 done.

And then hopefully I'll have time to go out and finish pot rinsing and prepping for next year. I still have half a dozen plants to figure out where to plant out but I want to wait a little to get it right.

I hope everyone has a good day and is able to get out there and get some free vitamin D :)

                                Good day
Another beautiful sunny day going on here. I've got some work to do inside this morning and then I'll be heading out to a nearby city on the lake to distance socialize with a friend I haven't seen in many months. She has a townhome on the lake, Lake Ontario. We're going to walk the pathway along the beach to a small restaurant that we have preordered fish and chips for pick up and we'll sit on the beach to eat it. The path is very wide so we'll walk opposite sides and chat whilst enjoying the fresh air.

@Upsydaisy I was thinking of you yesterday. It was my father's birthday on the first day of summer. He has been gone for 18 years and the first day of summer seems to always be a lovely day and sunny, like my father's disposition. You'll never stop missing your dad but you will eventually have the happy memories overtake the sadness of losing him :)

I hope everyone has as pleasant a day as I am planning to have. Cheers, Lori
