I'll only say that I did it as humanely as possible. They are persistent and would be back doing damage if I didn't dispatch it. Not a nice way to start the day but necessary.

We get rats in our lofts but are gradually winning that battle.

We get on OK with the grey squirrels (another unwanted U.S. import!) in our garden as they tend to just tidy up under the bird feeders. They also plant trees of all sorts but we just remove them and sell the walnut and oak trees.

The field mice are cute and tend to live under the patio and among the boxes in the car port. They enjoy the crumbs of the cakes, which we drop for them. Last week one sat on my foot whilst eating some crumbs. :)

The farmers are out in force at the moment as they are being overrun with rabbits. One of the tractors fell into a warren!!! He wasn't a happy bunny. :loll:

This is only the second time in almost 50 years that the farmers have got together to try and reduce the enormous growth in numbers.

The rabbits have eaten all our bee orchids.

So nice to have cooler temps. this morning.

            @moyra how are you today?

Lori you're definitely made of stronger stuff than me.....I can't even bring myself to kill a fly ,I catch them in my 'catcher' thingy and release them at the bottom of my garden. I catch Lilly Beetles and place them on the ground and get hubs to squish them with his foot.

Suppose to have had some rain by now, but so far no sign of any. I live in hope!

            Have a great day everyone.:spinning:

              Good day
We had heavy rain overnight which means no watering for me today.

The solar panel I hooked up to my mustang, fully charged the battery which was great but when I started it, an awful racket started up in the engine compartment. I don't believe it is the motor itself and took it for a drive and to hose it down at the coin wash to get the winter's dirt off it. The noise stopped for awhile then started again so I'm think it might be the heat shield come loose or some such other thing. I get the wheels changed from winter rims and tyres to summer this morning so another test run and listen. If it is still making a racket when I get back, I'll have to wait for the rain to stop and things to dry up before getting under there to find the problem. My tyre guy looks like a beach boy. And he has a pleasant personality too. I bet his wife wakes up with a smile every day :)

I also have a webinar to attend. One of my suppliers has changed their web ordering, again, and I need to sit through another blah blah blah session.

I hope everyone has a good day and gets lots of free water like I just got :dbgrtmb:

                      Aloha everyone,

I'm still rushed off my feet. I have two Zoom meetings today and a physical meeting (remember those :heehee:) this evening (in the open air and distancing). I'm also just about to start on a Covid-19 course. It covers Risk Assessment, COSHH, GDPR, Pathogens, Viruses and COVID-19, PPE etc. and is a certificated course. Another piece of paper to be put away in my file with the stack of others! Mrs Shiney has 23 of hers framed on on the wall in her treatment room but I don't have anyone to bother showing them to :heehee:. I may fix them all together as a back support. :loll:

Still having problems with my shoulder but not letting it stop me too much.

                      Keep well

                      Aloha!

Morning Shiney, good luck with your assessment on covid 19, and take it easy on that shoulder.
grey sky here but dry right now.

Good morning everyone. Expecting a phone call from a hospital consultant today to see if I have to go in for a camera job. Not looking forward to it. Could be Haemorroids or could be cancer of the bowel? And to top it off I also have a shoulder problem it keeps popping out of joint and gives me gyp each time it does. Oh well such is life. Have a good day all and stay safe and well. God Bless. :wub2:

Well the dreaded final Goodbye day has arrived.
We can do no more, I really hope he is will be looking down feeling happy at what we have managed to do within all these amazing restrictions that have tied out hands so very tightly.
The final restriction blow hit us hard yesterday ...he can't be put with Mum (they have a double plot) due to this Covid virus , as they're not allowed to reopen graves yet !! Back to storage he will have to go and ,due to the huge backlog they have, it looks like it will be for sometime.
We have also been informed that when he eventually gets laid to rest, we will not be allowed to be present... Hmmm,we'll see about that!!

The restrictions have been endless and without going into details...painfully irrelevant for a person passing away without suffering from Covid. But what must be ,must be.
It's been distressingly sad to have to implement them all.

@shiney out of interest...why the course, is it because you find it interesting?
I have a couple of family members here in very prominent positions in the frontline sector and even their legally required courses didn't sound as in-depth as yours.
