@Upsydaisy When they finally put him to rest you should be allowed there. We have had two funerals this week and one last week (all non Covid) and at each there were five people allowed to be there. The two yesterday also had Zoom funerals for any friends and relations to be present at it. I didn't go as it's not my thing.

It's not really that complicated, or in depth. :noidea: They will only cover the basics and I only have to plough through 43 pages of documents and answer some fairly basic (in my opinion) questions. It will give me four different sector certificates .

I'm interested in those sort of things and already have old, proper, COSHH, Hazard and Risk Assessment qualifications which I did when working. These were so I could also teach my staff and to comply with some stringent rules that the local authority used to have for shops. It saved me paying for the assessments to be done by a commercial company. When the inspector came round the first time he said he found one thing that didn't comply with their bylaws - I hadn't done a risk assessment on the fairy liquid in the staff kitchen! :rolleyespink: He put down that we had passed the inspection and said he'd expect to find it on the next visit. Many years before that the inspector tried to fail me for having the thermometer on the wall one inch higher than the regulations stated. Mr Jobsworth got a reprimand for that as I was doing the hair of his boss at the time. :heehee:

I also want to make sure I'm up to date on the Covid regulations as I have to make sure that our village hall complies.

Also, I enjoy doing tests etc. it keeps the brain active. :old:

Apparently not so if they are opening up a shared grave....well here anyway....but if necessary I will 'lurk' nearby....that's a certainty!

Yes I've just checked and Dad's live Webcast page is up ready and a test video is now up and running until it goes live at 3.55pm

It will be a long time ..a month or more before he gets to join Mum sadly.
Your area obviously doesn't seem to have such a back log thankfully if the deceased have been placed in their final resting places already.

Depends on circumstances. One was four weeks, the other three weeks and the third three days. :noidea:

            Good day
@moyra that shoulder issue sounds nasty. I hope you are able to build up enough muscle to get the joint to stay put! :grphg:

@Upsydaisy I'm sad to hear that you are being cheated out of being able to say proper goodbyes. :grphg:

@shiney when you're finished the course can you please let me know if cravings for chocolate and fudge and Christmas cake are symptoms of '19?:heehee: Luckily I don't give in to them more than once a day else my behind would be as wide as the handle on my axe.

Well, there has been no scurrying sounds between the floors this morning. So far. One thing I am glad of is that it was not my imagination that it sounded like a herd of them up there. I have now trapped 4 in the last two days. Two are missing from the fence this morning so I'm guessing Mr. Opossum had visited the smorgasbord over night.

I take my car back in this morning to get a new tensioner for the serpentine belt. I feel like a hillbilly driving it as it is so noisy and will be glad to have that embarrassment done with! But it does look pretty with it's summer wheels and tyres. I had the wheels refurbished a few years ago at a pricey penny and have never regretted it.:blue thumb:

I've got lots of little things to get done today and also shopping to do to keep me busy and out of trouble.

I hope everyone has a lovely day. :)

Hedgehog party here last night judging by the amount of fresh poop the dog has rolled in, we emptied his bath as well so hard to wash him as he hates water unless it’s in his bath or drinking bowl.

                Hi @Upsydaisy,

If they won't let attend the actual internment why don't you arrange to have a memorial for him when all this is over either at the graveside or a place that was special to him or your family. I'm sure you would be able to get a Celebrant to officiate.

@jimcubs looks like at least your pup is not a long haired. That would be a nightmare. :yikes:

Bought some currants today and I have them and the raisins soaking in black tea/brown sugar mixture :)

Good morning all, Must go out and wash the dust off my car as it has to go in for its MOT next week. Can't be much wrong with it doubt I have done a hundred miles in it since the last one.

                        Good day
It is sunny and expected to be quite warm again and that makes me happy. I will have time to spend outside too. I want to redo the irrigation in the one raised bed today and that is always a satisfying job when done.

The other day I put brown coloured tarpaulin along the base of the fence between me and the hillbillies. I just got too frustrated with the weeds migrating from their yard and wanted it stopped. This is only the narrow strip down the side between the houses and is not visible whilst in the garden or front yard. It needs to be tightened a bit more and the bottom staked into the earth and that shall be done today :)

I pick up my van today after it's brakes are done and that :fingers crossed: hopefully will be the last of the car repairs for awhile.

The currants and raisins in the black tea and brown sugar have absorbed most of the liquid overnight so this morning I try my hand at making bara brith. :)

Cheers all and have a lovely day :blue thumb:

                              Aloha everyone,

We seem to be busy all the time with the garden and lots of other things. I was supposed to have three people come round, one hour apart, this morning for plants and honey. The first one has cancelled as she says she has a sore throat. I've sent her a link to the government site about getting a test. If anyone does think they have a symptom then they need to have the test within five days. Don't think that you should wait to see if you get worse!

Very windy this morning and sunny and cloudy. We have another robins nest now. :dbgrtmb:

                              Keep well

                              Aloha!
