    Good day
It was a lovely night for sleeping on freshly line dried sheets. Very pleasant.

Whilst waiting for the kettle to boil, I dug out my allium bulbs. Well, most of them. Something else had been digging and I couldn't find 3 or four of them. They will go in a pot for next year. Then I planted a couple of more tomato plants. I visited one of those plant sales at the side of a grocery store and they had them on for $1.50 plus tax so that would be one pound each. Too tempting for me.

It will be a day of puttering and playing. And I will definitely be doing that as I have something booked for each day of the rest of the week.

I hope everyone has as lovely a day I am expecting to have :)

      Aloha everyone,

I'm still working on reminiscences and have got past my teen years, so a long way to go :heehee:

I've come across a third nest of robins today but the first nest took flight today :blue thumb: I hope to see them around the garden. One of the young ones has been following me although I keep telling it I'm not daddy.

Did a lot of mowing and lawn edging and my wrist is now difficult to move.

I'll be fine in the morning.

      Keep well

      Aloha!

          Aloha everyone,

@moyra thanks :blue thumb: and all the best to you :grphg:

It's a lot better this morning but there are a few painful twinges when typing (been doing a lot) and I'm trying my best not to use my thumb for the space bar because that's when it hurts. I may try taping my thumb to my hand :heehee:

It doesn't look as though I'll get much gardening done as the forecast is rain all day. :) I can't see the bird feeders from my office window but I think they need filling up. I can see a lot of birds sitting on the roof of the greenhouse. That's always a sign of empty feeders.

Have a good day and keep well

          Aloha!

            Goodmorning
We just had a marvelous thunder banger and a heavy downpour. It was hot and humid yesterday (95f) and today it is expected to go up to 88f with high humidity. It only cooled down to 62f out there last night but the rush of cool air with the rain prompted me to open the windows and let the cooler air come through the house and as soon as it gets up to around the 70f mark out there, I'll shut the house up again. No need for the air conditioning :)

I got to get my shot in the stomach today. It is one thing the doctors have to see me for because it is a chubby needle and I just can't shove that in myself. Too much of a sissy I guess :noidea:

Other than that, I won't be up to too much. Maybe get a start on making a purse or whatever. It's too wet to play outside and I'm not feeling motivated for chores ;)

I hope everyone has a good day everyone :)

                Aloha everyone,

The 'all day rain' ended up with intermittent drizzle. So we got some jobs done outside. Had a man round to quote for repairs and repointing the patio. At first glance he said it's about eight days' work for two men :yikes: but he will work on getting it more closely defined. He said it will take a good week to get the quote to me. He knows I'm getting other quotes. I already knew it was a big job. :noidea:

Zoom meetings this morning so I had better put some clothes on! :heehee:

                Keep well

                aloha!

                        Good day,
Throughout the night we had a marvelous thunder banger and heavy rain that seemed to be going sideways at some points. Nothing outside will need watering today but I do need to work on one of the rain barrel pumps that is supposed to feed the receptacles in the one greenhouse. I'll get to that tomorrow I hope.

I have lots to do today. I've already sent out today's quotations so that it out of the way.

I need to go to the hardware shop and pick up some rubber feet to make my own staging legs. I need to cut to size some metal piping. which I already, have to make these and tomorrow is the recycle day for this type of scrap. I also need to pick up a new piece of gutter for one of the greenhouses too.

I have an appointment to meet a lady at a "to the trade only" decorating center to show her some window shades.

I have to pick up more low flow components for an irrigation system.

I also need to buy some groceries as there is a food drive for the local food bank and I don't have any of the items listed as needed and I have to buy them in order to donate.

A lot of scurrying around, and waiting in line, but it is so pleasant today, it will be a treat.

Have a lovely day all :)

@shiney even though the hair net left and later the curlers (Hilda Ogden) it still is a funny soap. I'll never forget the episode where the pub regulars attended a funeral and the hens were busy chatting whilst Alf was trying to sneak a peak under the brim of Ena's church going hat to see if the net was under there :loll:
