      Aloha everyone,

      We have a lovely sunny start to the day and I shall get out there to continue mowing a bit later. I have just put one of our green wheelie bins (council collects tomorrow morning) by the bird feeder. The green bins are for garden waste and food waste and they collect every week.

      This time, first time ever, fly maggots must have hatched out in the food waste although we never put meats in the bin as those go on the lawn for the crows - usually just what is left on bones which the crows take away for us. There were hundreds (looked like thousands) of them crawling around the edge when I lifted the lid. So I put it by the feeders with the lid open and the robins were having a feast.

      I need to get the lawns looking tidy and edged (always makes the garden look much neater) as Mrs Shiney has a flower arranging group coming tomorrow. She gave them a demo/talk/lessons last week at their village hall meeting place last week. It was a 20 minute drive so i was her roadie. Still haven't been paid! :roflol:

        Good morning Shiney and anyone who is rising! :spinning:
        We have decided to have breakfast at the Toby carvery today yummy :) and then walk it off at Rivington, I must remember to take sun lotion as we could be out for a while. Try not to do too Shiney and drink plenty , I promise I’ll take some photos while we are out, enjoy the weather everyone! TTFN :grphg:

          Good morning everyone, hope you're all well today.

          Another lovely looking day ahead, lots of jobs to do both inside and out, but if stays nice the inside ones can wait until this evening.

          Have a nice meal @Flumpy. We have two local ( ish ) carvery restaurants and if we need 'a roast' fix we head to one :biggrin:, have to say we have haven't been since covid arrived though.
          The one nearest us is near to a big wildlife centre so we tend to avoid it during school holidays. Now you've reminded me I will make a note for September....I feel the need for a roast coming on as the days cool down.:dbgrtmb:

                  Good morning Upsydaisy, so far it’s just been grey but dry even though the weather women keeps saying sunshine, we are out for a meal tonight for my brothers birthday this time at the same restaurant in the countryside, can’t wait! I’m going to be a right pudding by the time I go back to work :roflol:, I’ll burn it off mowing the lawn :yay:

                          We had people round yesterday from one of Mrs Shiney's clubs that she gives talks to. They were round for a sociable chat about flower arranging and to look round the garden. I took them on the garden tour, then had tea and cake with them :). They also spent £70 on plants.

                          I've been cooking all morning and still have beans to pick and lots of paperwork to get done (well overdue with it :sad:).

                              We have a bit to do today as our middle son and his girlfriend are coming down today for the weekend.:hapydancsmil: We have the grocery shopping to do and we're going over to the cemetery with some flowers as it's my Dad's birthday today.
