Good morning everyone,as @shiney said it's definitely a busy time garden wise at the moment....trying to get it all ship-shape before the winter hits. Winter is depressing enough without having to look out on an unruly garden as well!

Fingers crossed that we should get a moving date for my brother very soon, so having to sort out what is going with him and what house clearance will be taking.

We're away for the weekend ( leaving early tomorrow - returning on Monday) , but while I was in the garden yesterday I discovered a load more Pelargoniums that were in hiding!! So that is the top job this morning, getting them and the Fuchsias in the big planters potted up as next week looks as if it could be on the damp side..

Had enough today! I don’t get paid enough to be shouted at by customers!, had four different customers shouted at me on the phone today, but no apology when they realise they are in the wrong, roll on 6pm, think I’ll get one of these

Thanks Victoria, it’s a daily thing, these people are old enough to know not to behave like this, I think because your behind a counter or on the phone, they think they can get away with it

 

Sadly I think it's more down to sheer frustration @Flumpy ....(but no excuse really) rather than thinking that they can get away with it. We are all getting to the end of our tether now with things and at times ,sadly, our feelings get exposed.

We waited for a fortnight for hubs medication that we get delivered monthly, we spent one and a half days trying to phone the Pharmacy but in the end drove over to them ( not our local one) and found that they were open but not answering the phone ...why?...we soon found out.... their stock was very low and they couldn't meet the prescriptions!! Why not just answer the phones and tell us, it would certainly stop disgruntled customers going into the shop and venting ( we didn't but were very annoyed as we were having a spell of torrential rain.) To make matters worse for us they 'claimed 'not to have had a request for hubs meds.....until they went to have a proper look and then miraculously found it from 2 weeks earlier. Unfortunately they only had enough meds to make up a quarter of his prescription, but nevertheless better than none as they are for his heart condition that are seriously needed.

I worked for many, many years dealing with the public and was on the receiving end of verbal confrontations at times too. But in your case , although I fully agree their behaviour is wrong, as I said people are at low ebb now especially as their health is suffering from cutbacks and backlogs in the NHS.
Not right or acceptable I know, but frustration and worry over health....can lead to ugly behaviour.....just remember it's not directed to you personally.
Hard times, healthwise for everyone and not looking very promising for the near future either.
Sadly choosing to work with the public ,unfortunately also means you occasionally get to see them not at their best behaviour.
