Hi all, sorry if I’m quiet, I received sad news from my cousin, my Auntie is on end of life who has lung cancer, she turned 90 this year but has had a turn for the worst :cry3:, I’ll keep you posted.

            Aloha everyone,

Although we have a lot to do in the garden we shall go for our regular walk in the forest. We have to book a parking space in advance as it's so popular. Even with the parking spaces fully booked we see very few people around, except when passing the cafe, as there are over 1,000 acres.

            Hatfield Forest - Wikipedia

It's difficult to access except by car as the narrow roads that surround the forest are all double red lines as it's unsafe to park. During the summer there are grass car parks but they are closed at this time of the year. It's a favourite place for dog walking. There are herds of cattle (local farmers have the right to graze) and herds of deer. The deer have to be culled regularly otherwise they do too much damage to the forest and surrounding properties and have, in the past, spread as far as our garden five miles away. The meat is sold.

            Take care

            Aloha!

              Good morning everyone..
Lovely area @shiney , I went there years ago when friends lived near Bishops Storford.
We're both very fortunate to have such lovely areas to walk in locally. Enjoy. :)

Went to the GC yesterday and bought all the compost that I will need for seed sowing , I always say this but guaranteed I'll need more!!:heehee: Also bought some more pkts of seed...... why I don't know!!:noidea:

Might get a spot of rain this afternoon so off outside to finish what I started doing yesterday.

Hope you all have a relaxing and enjoyable Sunday.

I bought a couple of 50 litre bags of compost the other day. They were stored outside and had got wet with all the rain and the compost always seems to absorb moisture although sealed in plastic. It increases the weight considerably. There were no staff around to help me so I gave up after struggling with just two. I would have bought six with help - which I usually have.

Oh dear that's a shame, I asked for a collect and carry out to the car. They just just buzz someone from the till. Saves struggling at both ends.

They normally do it but there was only one woman on the tills and just a few women stocking shelves. All the usual young men that are around were not in at that time. :noidea:

Good morning everyone, hope you're all well and had a lovely weekend.

I think our day looks fairly promising so a quick flick here and there with the duster and a change of bedding and I will be out there.:)

                            Have fun and keep safe.
