I'm doing ok thanks @Victoria , chest still a bit tight and energy levels low, but thankfully i'm ok

Good evening Michael, thanks for asking yes I'm fine .

Still have the same symptoms but more than likely just a cold. Spent all day trying to get a lateral flow test but couldn't .....even by extending the area that we were willing to travel to 30miles away!! In the end we found 2 Chemists that were expecting a delivery this afternoon, we phoned both at 4pm and were told no deliveries had arrived....maybe tomorrow!!

Tried to phone our Drs but after waiting on the phone for 35mins we gave up.

Headache has come back with a kick tonight but I'm putting it down to stress or just one of my normal heads. I will not get Covid, I will think positive!

How are you today and what have you been up too......any door update?

I can't remember if I mentioned it @Upsydaisy but the lady that cuts my hair was tested +ive a few weeks ago and when I asked her if she was better she said it was just like having a cold.
She had nothing more severe and no after effects like some get, fatigue etc. So even if you have covid it could be like Shirley, just the same as a cold. I wouldn't worry about it, just wait for it to pass

 

That's exactly what I said to my hubs...just stick with whatever it is and let it run it's course.

My only concern is that I can't keep a visual check on my brother...so he'll have to be taken on his word, which sadly doesn't always prove true!!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for your door and window arriving tomorrow.

 

That's a worry for you but hopefully he'll be all right until you are over whatever it is, which may not be very long anyway.

Hi Upsydaisy and all, Upsydaisy hope your sons are ok?, the covid cases have gone right up in this area which doesn’t surprise me, keeping my fingers and toes crossed no one gets it, finished at 2pm and under strict instructions from my husband to relax

Hi @Flumpy , thanks spoke with our Covid suffering son and despite still feeling a tad rough he has been able to do some work from home today.

Our area is rising rapidly too, it even made the news a few weeks ago!

I thankfully tested negative today after finally managing to get a testing kit. Mind you still have the sore throat and headache......but I'm happy!

Such stressful times for everyone ....grabbing a bit of relaxation time when and wherever it can be found is a soul saver during these times.

 

Talking of test kits, I ordered at work an outer of 60, the wholesaler didn’t send it because they said it was out of stock, I said but did you not think to let us know she said no but they are back in stock today , we are giving nearly a full outer box a day, hope your son is feeling better very soon, sounds like he’s got it mild

 

Yes I suppose so @Flumpy as he didn't require hospitalization thankfully , but I wouldn't necessarily say he's had it mild. . He's into his 13th day and finally now his sore throat has eased but his headaches are still bad and he has a hacking cough ,we video called him again this afternoon but he found it difficult to talk for long.

 

I'm sorry your son is still poorly @Upsydaisy but lad you were not positive.

 

Aawe sorry Upsydaisy didn’t realise he was that bad, hope he’s on the mend very soon
