:rolleyespink:Morning all! (I wonder if I am awake before @shiney ? Or whether he has even been asleep? :heehee:)

I'm actually wide awake after an awful dream. It was about my brother so as soon as it is a reasonable hour I will be messaging him to check he is alright.

I think I may have to get up and get a cup of tea now. I wonder if the snow continued overnight?!

      Aloha everyone,

I had a doze in my chair from about 1 a.m. to 2 a.m. and then watched 'Hard Talk' on BBC1 at 2.30. Dealt with some emails from abroad, wrote a report and then watched a few recorded programmes (was feeling quite comfy in my armchair with my feet up :blue thumb:). The programmes I watched were 'New Tricks', 'Death in Paradise' and Jane McDonald cruising'. I only broke that up with working my way through five mugs of hot water. Then watched the business report - although retired for 20 years I'm still interested. :)

The forecast is for sunshine today so I hope to do a bit outside this morning. I have a Zoom meeting at 11.30 and bridge at about 3 p.m. I'm going to have a mango and some porridge for breakfast.

      Keep well

      Aloha!

Good morning all. Sheets to get in the wash and hopefully dry outside today as that alien being is prominent in the sky. Nice to see a bit of sunshine. Well must get on, have a good day, take it easy and stay safe and well. God bless. :)

          Good Morning everyone!!

          A cracker of a day today...fab...u...lous!!

Not sure what's on our agenda today...if anything.
Some light housework first , maybe a bit more of my jigsaw puzzle as daylight hours seem best to distinguish all the varying shades of greenery depicted in the trees. The old eyes aren't as sharp as they once were!!
Potter around the garden before heading to the greenhouse to continue preparations for seed sowing.......:hapydancsmil:it's getting nearer!

          Keep safe everyone.:spinning:

Hi all, got up for work, opened the curtains and just saw white! A good layering of snow and more to come tomorrow, not looking forward to finishing work, hate it when all the snow has been tramped down and icy, be careful everyone :dbgrtmb:

                  Good day
Spent most of my morning sitting outside the hospital. Sam was in for her pre operative appointment. The appointment was made for 6:45 - nobody even looked at her until after 8! Then they did covid tests (2) and blood work and then asked her to wait to see the anaesthetist. Another hour later - oops, they forgot to tell her that he would just be calling her. :mute: But at least it's all set up for Friday. And we only need to go for one more wound care appointment today and before the big day.

It is cold but the sun is brilliant again so at least the solar panels will be feeding the batteries.:)

I've got some puttering to do today. Just little chores here and there so certainly no stress :blue thumb:

                  Cheers all :coffee:

Good morning everyone, restless night still very tired. @CanadianLori , don't you want to despair at the health service sometimes. Still hoping Sam goes on ok.

                      Morning all,

Cloudy but bright and still lots of crisp snow about. Definitely milder today. I had a potter around in the front garden after feeding the birds. Checked over my pleached trees-I cannot wait for spring for them to start bushing out again.

Will be heading to MK to do our Morrisons shop in the big superstore there-it's a really good one. Nice and quiet weekday mornings.

I'm also buying some shelves from ikea later online. They do some good shelving that is suitable for the greenhouse so I can do more in there. Every surface is covered with plants now lol.

Have a good day everyone. Xxx

Oh dear @moyra , take it easy and put your feet up today. Let your thoughts drift off to summer days and happier times that are just around the corner. :grphg:

Grey old day here but on the plus side not so cold.:dbgrtmb:

Repeat of yesterday really...no set plans.
The only outstanding garden job is to add another layer to the Sweet Pea towers later.

Apart from that....:noidea: ..chill (not literally I hope!)

                        Whatever you're all up to....enjoy your day.:spinning:

                            Good day
@moyra I hope you are able to catch up on your sleep with a few cat naps today. Sam is still snoozing and comfy. Thank you for all your good thoughts.

@Flumpy no one has the right to bully. Karma will take care of them!

I've started up the crock pot with a recipe of chile con carne. Lazy supper for tonight.;) But I will bake some fresh rolls to go with it.

@Snorky85 I too have some shopping to do so will go and get that done early. Pre-op they want Sam to take in mega loads of carbohydrates in liquid form. And for after, they need her to have sugarless gum to chew on several times a day. And the one shop has flour on sale this week. 10 kilos for $8.99 so I will definitely be grabbing some of those :)

Then there will be shoveling. There is a snow warning for my area. Much to do about nothing. In my opinion as it will onky be 5 or 6 inches!

Have a lovely day all :coffee:

                              Aloha everyone,

I'm just about to start a bridge game at my Tuesday afternoon club. I have 54 people signed up for it so far with just under 10 minutes to go. :phew:

It has started drizzling outside and it is melting the ice. :blue thumb:

I cooked a very nice chicken tagine last night and have some more left over. :)

I was born in Croydon and sorry to/for any Croydoniones but it really is the pits.
                                not just me either.....
                                From the local Guardian..
There’s a lot more than meets the eye when it comes to the 364,800 people of Croydon. In today’s press many of the community are subjected to labels such as anti-social, dangerous, sometimes even talentless. Croydon is often on the wrong end of a bad reputation, but little do people know that we have some of the finest sportsmen, the current England manager, an Academy Award winning actress, a world famous illusionist and one of the most renowned novelists of all time. This is what Croydon should be recognised for, its vast selection of modern and legendary talent. Over the years Croydon has produced many well-known, and well praised stars. The town has been represented strongly in media, sports and arts over the years. Yet, many are unaware that these celebrities so often seen on TV so often are products of the London Borough.....
                                .me thinking and saying....
