I didn't mean 'the day ' ( Christmas) Michael, my dreaded day is today....grocery shopping day !!!:yikes: Sadly an important job...otherwise there'll be a few complaints and lots of disappointment on ' the day' :):heehee:

But in actual fact it was a doddle..shelves full, no queuing , nowhere near as bad as I had envisaged!

Hello @moyra , I am glad that your are going for an echocardiogram to rule out any problems with your ticker. I've had a couple of those and it is not an invasive procedure by any means. They use a device that looks very much like the ones you see being used on pregnant tummies to determine the development of their babies and sometimes the sex. They do firmly press it against your chest but it is only pressure, it doesn't hurt.

My last one, the operator gave me a real giggle as she turned the volume up for me to hear and it sounded similar to a toilet being mightily plunged! :roflol:

I hope you get your analysis back quickly :fingers crossed:

That's what I mean, it isn't worth stressing over preparations for 'The Day' ... it's just another day. It will come and go, and does it really matter whether you've done shopping or not. Your disappointed whoever shouldn't be so childish. Think of all the people who have nothing.

I know Michael...I was just being light hearted but obviously didn't come across as such...sorry.

My lot here wouldn't complain at all, they're not really that fussed over Christmas .It's more down to me wanting and needing it to be right if I'm honest.

But this year especially as our recuperating son has made the effort to come down and share the holiday with us them I want it to be as perfect as possible. :xmasyay:

That's the trouble with words on a screen, you can't really tell how they're meant. Sometimes there are smilies but they can be confusing (to me anyway :old:)

Hi everyone, All done and dusted. Don't know how long I shall have to wait for the result though. I suppose I could go and prep the veg for tomorrow though I do not know whether I can be bothered. Have a good Christmas everyone, God bless.

                        Aloha everone,

My madly busy period is finished for now :phew:. I organised my Tuesday and Wednesday clubs' Christmas events (went brilliantly) and the Thursday and Friday clubs are closed. Did the last work for this year for the charities and committees I'm involved with and pushed aside the legal work on turning one of the charities into a CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation) and the battles with the lawyers won't start until next year.

From today we're doing absolutely nothing - apart from gardening. I've mowed the main back lawn today and one of the smaller ones, so just three large and three small to go. :rolleyespink: The person who helps us with the heavy work has been out of commission. Firstly with having to isolate after returning from a short break abroad and secondly from a sinus operation. So, typically, I overdid things and suffered for it . Then I got gout!!!! Never had it before and never want it again.
I was out of commission yesterday with a very bad migraine from sleeping too much as I slept solidly for four hours - double my usual daily dose. So I didn't eat much at all.

I went shopping at 5 a.m. the other morning and there weren't many people around :heehee:. Tesco actually had some chicken mince on the shelf (never seen it before) and decided on chicken burgers (Mrs Shiney said the other day that she hasn't had any for years and fancied some). As I was out of commission she worked on them and did a brilliant job (no gluten and no carbohydrates). So I had some for lunch today

I'll have leftover curry tonight - Flaming Bengali Lamb (the flaming bit refers to it being chilli hot).

Tomorrow we shall have chicken and veggie stir fry. Nothing Christmassy about that unless you're from the Far East. :heehee:

                        Have a lovely Christmas. :dbgrtmb:

                        Aloha!
