        Good day
The sky is a lovely shade of violet. The guessers said we might get a few hours of sunshine this morning so I'm thinking this is the preview and I'm looking forward very much to having a break from days of gloom. Apparently clouds will roll back in and we will be getting either snow or drizzle. Good time to be inside. And at least it's not like out west where some places are experiencing -55c :yikes:

Yes, @Upsydaisy seed starting is on my to do list. I brought up the dishpan of potting soil and my block maker and will start sewing my peppers/chillies today. :)

I'm now going to get back to my breakfast of Christmas cake and a cuppa

Hi all, after doing the shop at Tesco this am and also got my washing done, I’m sat with a cup of tea watching Wallace and Gromit, I love it :), hubby is sat up in bed feeling a little better today and is eating, my brother who has Covid said he’s sleeping lots but getting there. Lori it sounds very cold there :yikes: I hate the cold weather, roll on spring I say :spinning::dbgrtmb:

                    Good morning everyone.:)

No complaints from me about the weather at the moment.....it's so mild!!! I love it!!
Unfortunately I know it won't last, but I will enjoy it while it's here :dbgrtmb:.

Our son is returning to his home tomorrow, but sadly his girlfriend won't be home until Sunday at the earliest as both her and her Dad have tested positive for C.
Strange , despite isolating with our son when he had it a couple of weeks ago she remained clear but going home to her parents and family...she gets it.
This is her 2nd time too and she has been fully vaccinated....booster too. :dbgrtmb:
                    Just goes to show .

                    Have a good day :spinning:

Sometimes I wonder if the vaccines are just to make millions for the big pharmaceutical companies ... I heard that 85 % of people in hospital with covid are double vaccinated. And I know of several who haven't had the vaccination and have not caught it at all.

I so agree, and one can save on the heating

Thank you @Upsydaisy, xx ... yes well Christmas came and went, as it usually does  I spent the day (and subsequent days) organising my new little room and rest of the house really, it's surprising how much disruption one small build at the back of the house can do.

It replaces an old glass and perspex lean-to.
The rendering will be done next year after the conservatory (to the left) is pulled down.
Here's the inside ... the walls haven't been painted yet, I'm waiting until the spring

                          resized (2).JPG

As you can see there's a mess in the garden too which I hope to tidy as the spring progresses.

I hope you enjoyed Christmas with your husband and son  You will miss him after he goes home, but hopefully you'll meet again soon.

my friends brother in law as just passed away to covid, he had no vaccine perfectly healthy, the doctors in the hospital said most people there are unvaccinated and one only in his 30’s

That looks fabulous Michael, yes I know all to well the disruption building work / renovations can cause.....and the clear up afterwards too!!

Thank you , I had a quiet Christmas ( compared to the ones we use to have when my parents were still with us and the whole family would get together at their house for a huge Christmas Tea) but very enjoyable indeed.
Hmm ....yes I will go into Sad Mummy mode tomorrow for a day or two.....but I had seeds to sort out on standby!!:dbgrtmb:

Oh that is sad @Flumpy , silly people not heeding advice!!! :nonofinger:

Whilst most are the unvaccinated, it still can hit the sensible vaccinated ones too, I know of many including our son, his girlfriend, her father, our niece, a friend's son......thankfully due to being vaccinated no long lasting effects.:dbgrtmb:
