YAWN, YAWN, WAKEY, WAKEY - 2021

Good day
@shiney because my street is a quiet one with sidewalks on both sides, we have lots of people out strolling or being strolled by their dogs and yes, I always say hello to passers by. Not many wear a mask when out there as no one goes withing 6 feet of strangers whilst outside.

A cold cloudy Saturday but the guessers have told us that perhaps later we will see the sun again. It will still be cold (10f as today's high) but sunshine always makes one feel great.

Sam is home She has a bit of pain but I filled a prescription, after I got her home yesterday, for some pain killers and she is using them sparingly. She is fortunate that she now no longer has the tubes she had to tolerate for months and didn't get an ostomy and bag. Very fortunate. She is resting and grandma is providing quick response room service.

I keep reading everyone's "what we're doing in the garden" posts and am quite envious as our ground is frozen solid down about 10 inches or so and the thaw won't start happening for another 6-8 weeks.

I am learning some new software. Just a "what the heck, why not" thing as it is nothing I need.

And I'm going to stay inside and bake today.

Hi @Flumpy ...everything must be been in full ' packing ' mode now for you I should imagine.Have you booked time off from work ?

Joints still aren't behaving themselves. My knee gave way completely again this morning, so annoyed as its a beautiful day and I was looking forward to some pottering today.
Roll on Friday for us both...your move and my x-rays

 

Thankfully we live in a lovely friendly area too. Everyone is so friendly and willing to chat that if you are planning a 30mins walk you must allow at least an hour!!

 

Hi Upsydaisy I hope they sort your knee out very soon, it must be so painful
We’ve only just sat down, I’m tired and hungry, can’t believe how much clothing we’ve got, a lot of dresses with tags still in . I’ve booked three days off joining the weekend just so we can get things sorted out.

You put your feet up now and rest that knee

I only have 6 cousins ,some I don't see at all ( one emigrated to Canada back in 67 and has only been back twice ) and a couple on rare occasions like ...well ....funerals!!!

Our brood only have two here. Others are back in hubs country of birth.

To be totally honest I'm not keen on extended family get togethers....much prefer ones with friends!!! You gain friends by sharing the same interests and life experiences......family are more ' pot luck'

Not sure what today's weather will bring, now under our 4 day snow weather warning, but it looks good at the moment with the sun shining.

Going to carry on with my jigsaw puzzle today to relieve the boredom of not being able to do anything more strenuous. Could possibly hobble into the kitchen later and sow seeds in the Ziplocs.
