@moyra so sorry to hear about Amber. I've had a few tears reading your post about it. I am so sorry. They are just so loving and I wish they lived as long as we do. It will take you quite some time to adjust no doubt, but she will be by your side, I am sure of it. I dread the day when we lose our girls - can't imagine it.

Once I've dried these tears, and I've tidied away my paints from yesterday, I'll be out in the garden I think and do a bit of a clean up. Fed the birdies already and there seems to be even more of them in the garden than ever! Even Woody has been back in the garden.

Weather is damp, cloudy (but brighter than some days we have had here) and keeps having a little rain now and again.

Don't know how the birds will feel about Garlic Bread this morning...they are clearing the bird table very quickly and I cut it into small pieces so they don't have to struggles with it.Like we did last evening....Strange that the loaf I took care to make was very spongeee heavy as well this time, forced ourselves to have a piece with the Sweet & Sour Pork...just the one piece, was yuk.

Strange that nose thing we all have, when Mr.W worked, he was a HGV Driver the crew gathered together in the mornings with there paperwork for the day ahead. Some would say Mr. W we could smell you in here...now others did not smell the garlic..sometimes he had bathed in the stuff. Now I find the smell on the breath clean and sweet....

 

Hope everyone is muddling through all that life is throwing at us at the moment. We'll get through this!!


A tad grey today, so no real set plans for today as such.
Just stripped our bedding, now a bit of hoovering and dusting to do in there.

Had an informative chat with Adult Social Services this morning in regards to my brother related issues. Lots for me to follow up on and research a bit more into.....another forum could get added to my list!!

After dinner will need to go over at some point to check on my brother's medication...is he or is he not taking them..hmmm all will be revealed. Nothing will escape big sisters investigation expertise....I know where to look!!

Started to plan what to sow this year, so will continue with that later too.
Every year I say that I will do less varieties and more of the chosen ones...if you get my drift.....But once again my 'less pile of chosen' seed has grown!!!! How does that happen!!

Being only 7:37, it is still fairly dark here. And the themometer tells me it is very mild out there. Almost up to freezing.

Sam has a couple of medical appointments today. One I need to ferry her to and the other is a telephome appointment. Easy peasy

And I've decided that today is the day I will make my grapefruit marmalade and apple jam. Then I can stow the canning equipment and be back to a tidy kitchen.

Like you @Upsydaisy I resolved to grow fewer varieties of annuals however now I look at my list I see tbat it is slightly longer than last year's
