      Good day
I am late getting to the keyboard so it is already bright outside as I am sat here. Very cloudy but again very mild. Almost up to freezing!

Hello @moyra I'm glad to see you here to greet me again this morning :)

I take Sam to see a specialist (surgeon) this morning so we can get an update about her condition and excited about that as we really haven't been receiving any definitive timelines for operations or whatever.

I did get the jam and marmalade made yesterday. And I did get my two seed orders faxed off. I did not get the Epson 4in1 printer fixed so it will have to go to recycle. It was not a cheap printer (about 300 of your pounds) so a real let down. Their support at Epson pretty much tell you that if the ink pad is full, you're machine is trash. But I did get over 3 years of hard use out of it so I have my nerve complaining. I'm now using my old HP 4in1 which is 20 years old and the only features it doesn't have that the epson did is auto 2 sided and eco tanks.

I'm going to spend the afternoon just puttering and tinkering and maybe doing a little sewing.

Take care all and cheers :coffee:

        Aloha everyone,

I'm still managing to get jobs done in the garden and pleased with what I have done.

I'm just about to roast a batch of chicken wings for Mrs Shiney - with garlic salt and herbs. I shall do lamb chops for me :blue thumb:. I had a very nice home made salt beef sandwich for lunch with home made mustard - don't like ready made as it's too salty. Home made cream of mushroom soup is cooking and I'm defrosting some home grown apple and blackberries to make a batch of crumbles.

        We won't starve :)

I've already made a lamb vindaloo for me for tomorrow and a cauli, paneer and chick pea curry for Mrs Shiney.

        Keep well

        Aloha!

Good morning all, I trust you are all fit and well or as good as can be expected. I have had a constant sore throat for about a week now.

@CanadianLori, I hope Sam gets on ok at the hospital. Take care everyone and stay safe. God bless.:)

              Aloha everyone,

@Upsydaisy you can come and hang it in our garden if you want. :blue thumb:

Shopping done at 6 a.m., post office (next village) at 9 a.m. and just got back from walking the 2 miles to the surgery and back for a prescription. A nice day for a brisk (much slower than it used to be) walk. :old: Met the postwoman on her round in the village - wearing shorts and a T shirt! :rolleyespink:

              Keep well

              Aloha!

                Morning/Afternoon all,

slept solid again as having to take a session of migraine tablets to stop these horror headaches. It is working though but makes me sleep solid-got up at 9:30. Then decided to do an online bodycombat 30mins workout and felt really good after that. All sorted now and had lunch and the piggin headache is back.

Cold outside but it has stopped raining. Going to get some compost out my last bag and do some seeds in trays.

This morning is the first time in ages that I thought, "why should I even bother getting up?!" But I did and I am glad I did.

                    Good day
@moyra I hope your throat starts healing and @Snorky85 my heart goes out to you too. I cannot imagine having constant headaches. I get one about once every 5 years and I find that annoying so your situation has to be horrible!

The surgeon says Sam needs a couple of more lightly invasive tests before her operation. They are hoping to operate in February. The covid business has really given the hospitals a great avenue to lighten their loads outside of the quarantine areas :th scifD36: She said Sam's operation would take about 5 - 6 hours. Very scary.

It is another cloudy day but that is no never mind at this time of year over here. It is still too cold to play outside.

Cheers all and take care :coffee:

Hi @Flumpy ....I wouldn't think to hang wet washing indoors, I do hang slightly damp washing taken from the line though . We have a huge dehumidifier and I put the airer around it and things are dry within a couple of hours.:dbgrtmb:

Having said that we also have a tumble dryer too in the garage which I only use if really necessary. If it's a damp day tomorrow I will use it.:dbgrtmb:

Many congratulations to your brother and his partner.:congrats:

We tend to use our tumble dryer most of the time but we have an extendable line in the pergola. Although it's in the open there is a perspex roof over it so the washing stays dry even if it's raining. It doesn't help if the air is very damp. :noidea:

Yes we have a line that runs under the veranda type roof that extends from the main sitting room patio doors . We often use it but as you say @shiney it's not very useful when the air is very moist.
