    Aloha everyone,

I've been very busy both with gardening and non-gardening things and not too achy :)

It will be more gardening and a lot of cooking today as I shan't have time tomorrow to cook 'meals on wheels'. The main thing I shall cook is Boeuf a la Flamande (beef cooked in beer :heehee:) which takes long, slow cooking.

    Keep well

    Aloha!

That's a shame @Flumpy , we grow ours in hanging baskets and so far the birds have let them be. To be honest I think Raspberries are much nicer, not sure why I don't grow those really.:heehee:

Spent the whole day out in the garden yesterday,
I seem to accumulate lots of pots with cuttings in so yesterday my mission was to plant out or ditch.:)
Well....yes I do still have pots with unidentified plant cuttings in but......a lot fewer of them!!:yahoo:

            It's a job in progress!!;)

            Have a lovely Sunday everyone.:spinning:

              Aloha everyone,

No gardening for me today. This morning will be dealing with some of the voluntary and charity work I do and this afternoon will be five and a half hours of a very tough bridge competition. It's the final of the biggest event in the county and I (and my partner) have qualified for the final. Over five hours of intense concentration is difficult nowadays :old:. There are twenty pairs in the final and we have to play all of them. :phew:

              Keep well

              Aloha!

:spinning:Hi all! Hope you’ve enjoyed this lovely weather even if you have just been sat listening to the birds or reading a book as I have.....well after planting my Becopas, I had to order my strawberry stand in the end as Wilkinson’s had non in the shop, we also bought four big planters to go on the Patio, I want something to grow about 1 or 2 foot, I was thinking ferns as they come back year after year :) .
Lovely to see you Moyra, Canadian Lori and Victoria hope your all well?.

Upsydaisy did you get your pots moved?

Shiny how did the bridge go? Did you win? :spinning:

Evening @Flumpy.... ummmm no, got sidetracked into sorting through all the cuttings that I took from my parent's garden last year instead.
My brother came over in the afternoon, so we sat chatting, drinking coffee and raiding the biscuit tin!!
We were watching the antics of the birds too.....two pigeons were vying for the attention of a third one, trouble was the third one didn't fancy either of them!!!!:heehee:

Ferns will look good in the patio pots, just check which ones though as most prefer shade or at least dappled shade and some prefer to be planted out in the ground . I took a clump of Hearts Tongue from my parents garden (I already have some in a shady border) I too thought it would be nice on the kitchen patio, it began looking very sad so I asked for advice on here and was informed that they weren't pot plants. I think it's dead now but will keep an eye on it to see if it picks up with the warmer temps. Not too hopeful though.
