Hi Upsydaisy & Shiney, hope Moyra is ok, I’ve not seen her since my last message, hope I wasn’t too harsh telling her to see a doctor :noidea:

It has been a fairly tough but bitty day today. Off to town at 5.30 a.m. shopping. When I got home I had a stack of emails to sort out and then Mrs Shiney wanted to start tidying the shed :yikes:

She has advertised in the local 'Nextdoor' some high backed slatted wooden garden chairs, with cushions that fit on the seat and back and then she wanted to get rid of some of the garden director's chairs. To get to them meant moving loads of boxes full of flower arranging dried plants (moved them onto the bonfire heap ), then added to the heap lots of cardboard boxes, hardboard notice boards and other things that accumulate over the years. I have now burnt all of those with the assistance/hindrance of Sarafi.

All the plastic things that were also in the shed are now in the bin along with old sprinklers, gardening tools that are falling apart, cracked pots (not me!). We'll work on the other side of the shed another day.

As I was doing a good job of stacking things on the bonfire Sarafi was knocking them down! Then he started on his usual headbutting of my legs. Unfortunately I had hurt my leg the other day (edge of the car door caught it :mute:) and as my legs really need protection all the time they are extremely vulnerable. I now have an 8" long wheal down the shin that is deep red with the surrounding area a deep black (my legs are already black and brown from poor circulation).

He is, obviously, not bothered by fire so it became difficult to light the fire. I put newspaper into the things to burn, light a newspaper flare and touch it to the paper in the fire. Sarafi kept getting in the way  When it was burning with flames 8ft high he patrolled around the fire and then sat down three feet away from it so I rushed in and dragged him away. He's a lovely cat but a pita some of the time. :noidea:

              Aloha everyone,

It's another sunny morning and too much to do in the garden. Hopefully the charity will be coming round at the end of the week to pick up lots of things that have been waiting here for them.

              Keep well

              Aloha!

Good morning everyone, how's life with you today?

Had a busy day yesterday...going here ,there and everywhere but as the day was proving unpredictable weather wise I hadn't planned any garden tasks.

One trip was for hubs to receive his 2nd Covid jab. :hapydancsmil: That was all good, our Drs surgery really do have a good system going, absolutely faultless. :dbgrtmb: Well apart from forgetting me !!!, I think. They just needed a gentle reminder.;)

No concrete plans for today.....just rolling on the tide!

                Have a good one :dbgrtmb:.

Sorry, 'rest' is a four letter word so don't understand it! :roflol:

I have to go into town for more compost, go to the post office to post another large book Mrs S sold on Amazon yesterday to a bookshop (a beautiful book 'The Water Gardener' signed by the author)

then I need to continue cutting new lawn edges (a lot of them seem to have disappeared this year ), do a lot of weeding, keep moving the sprinkler around and try to get around to weaving the overhead for the ShineyFrames. :phew: So, a quiet day for me :heehee:.

I'll have to keep out of Sarafi's way (impossible) as my leg is still quite sore. When he headbutts it's like running into a brick wall. :yikes:

Good morning all. I hope you are all satisfied I have now seen the doctor who has given me antibiotics and also something to take my very high blood pressure down. I am starting to feel
better already but I think that is because I managed a bit more sleep last night. I have to phone the hospital today to make an appointment for a blood test and also another department to make an appointment for a chest x-ray. I am obviously not happy because I have been isolating since March 2020 and its hospitals where you pick up all the germs. I shall make sure I wear a mask but as my breathing was such I found it very difficult when i went to the doctors last night.

Anyway @shiney I hope Sarifi stays away from your legs, suffering with my own I know how painful they can be.

@Upsydaisy and @Flumpy Thank you too for nagging me into contacting the doctor and for once being able to see him. Now all I have to do is attend the various hospital appointments which are at four now. Urgh so much for putting them off. I'll let you know how I get on.

Take care all and stay safe in the meantime. God Bless.

Good morning @moyra :) So happy to hear that you've had a good check over and that the antibiotics have kicked in and that you feeling a tad better already . Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for the blood test and chest x-ray.

Don't worry yourself about going to the hospital....in my opinion they are the safest and cleanness place to visit ....as they have to adhere to a very strict cleaning / sanitizing programme. You'll be absolutely fine :dbgrtmb:.

Take care and have a relaxing day.:grphg:

I've had two hospital appointments recently ,one being just over a week ago and each time they handed out their own masks for patients to wear inside the hospital. Not sure if that is standard practice or just top notch safety here at ours.:dunno:

Hi Upsydaisy, yes it’s standard procedure, I had to do the same earlier in the year so as not to get cross infections due to covid.

Moyra so glad you have finally got sorted, I’m currently waiting for a telephone consultation due to a ear infection..... Get well soon Moyra and plenty fluid :grphg:

I don't think all do it @Flumpy , we're in the middle of two cities which have 3 hospitals ,2 are under one trust and the other under a different one and it's this last one that issues out the masks. My brother has had to attend the other two over the last few weeks and I went with him, we just wore our own.
I think it's a very good idea ,especially when you see what some people wear...mainly for looks and not for protection....some are so narrow they have their noses uncovered!
