Just watched the scariest film I've seen in a while "The Dark and The Wicked". Scary films don't usual bother me-I find them funny. But this one really creeped me out!
Hopefully i'll be able to sleep.
      See y'all tomorrow xx

          Aloha everyone,

@Snorky85 I hope the bogeyman doesn't get you :grphg: :). I never watch scary films as they hold no interest for me. :noidea:

@liliana most of my friends on here know that I rarely sleep more than a couple of hours a day. That's all I have ever needed but it leaves me with a lot of spare time. In the summer I'm out in the garden with the dawn and in the winter I do paperwork and admin (run quite a few organisations - non paid ), read a lot (bit more difficult with libraries not open) and watch some easdy to watch recorded programmes (watch Undercover Boss and Murder in Paradise this morning - apart from live news and travel show).

I'm not sure that coffee will help you with not sleeping  :heehee:

According to the forecast it is snowing heavily here but they obviously haven't looked out my window. :roflol: Reminds me of the 1956 book 'The Door Into Summer' written by Robert A. Heinlein - as the author quotes about their own cat:-

"When we were living in Colorado there was snowfall. Our cat — I'm a cat man — wanted to get out of the house so I opened a door for him but he wouldn't leave. Just kept on crying. He'd seen snow before and I couldn't understand it. I kept opening other doors for him and he still wouldn't leave. Then Ginny said, 'Oh, he's looking for a door into summer.' I threw up my hands, told her not to say another word, and wrote the novel The Door Into Summer in 13 days."

          Keep well

          Aloha!

Morning all. Survived the night without being taken by the devil :heehee: but had a dog snoring which caused sleep issues lol

finally fell asleep and the next thing the doorbell rang. Rushing around to turn the alarm off to open the door and they're gone! Bit bloomin early!!!! Checked the camera and I think it was a carer for our neighbour who is just out of hospital after having several strokes before xmas.

@Victoria He was one of the most famous science fiction writers, an anti-racist and anti-sexist and known for his service to the country in the armed forces, and had an asteroid and a feature on Mars named after him.

Good morning all, just been catching up on all your stories :)

It’s been a hectic week, my brothers girlfriends Son has got Covid19 and her parents too , so it’s a very worrying time, I didn’t know this but if you ring the NHS number they can get you a volunteer food shopper if your all isolating, the number is : 0808 196 3646, I’m hoping no one will ever have to use this.

It’s still raining here and still no sign of moving house yet  too.

You all keep safe now :grphg:

                      Good day
@Flumpy I hope they all are asymptomatic or only have mild symptoms.

@shiney I really should pick up one of his books and re-read it. I remember enjoying them. I hesitate as I went back and read a 20th century sci fi a few years ago was disappointed at how simple it seemed in today's world.

It took me a few minutes to remember what it is, but I now realize that I'm actually looking at blue skies. Finally. It's only forecast to be this way for a few hours but I'm grateful for the bit of sunshine :)

We are in lock down and I have no reason to be out today so I've got another day of puttering ahead of me. Guess I'll be swabbing the decks and laundering any dirty knickers laying about..

Oh, and cheesy old Tarzan movies are playing on the retro channel too. Phoney crocodiles, old safari footage spliced in, all knee slapping fun!

                      Take care all :coffee:

One of his characters was using a mobile phone 30 years before mobiles were invented. :blue thumb:

I also think  that he mentioned in "The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress" that the first man on the moon was called Neil Armstrong. The book was published in 1966 which I think was three years before the moon landing. :rolleyespink:

The sun is coming up and it will be a gloriously sunny day :fingers crossed:

I have a busy day today with a bridge tournament. It's the semi-final of the biggest tournament run by the county association. So it shall be a really tough five hour tournament. :phew:

Good morning all. Good Luck @shiney hope you do well in the tournament. Was that Essex or Herts County? I think you do both if I remember rightly.

@Californialori , you made me think of my Steve yesterday asking me to come quick and pointing to the garden where all the birds come to the bird station and then he said "It's sunshine!" as if it was a alien being. Which we are beginning to think perhaps it is.
Have a good day all, take it easy and above all stay safe and well. God bless. :wub2:
