I think people are becoming lazy and allowing gadgets to run their lives. Emails are all very well but at certain times one needs to talk to someone face to face. It's being human.

        Good morning everyone.

Lori I hope your journey went smoothly, she certainly lived a long. and hopefully fulfilling life. May she rest peacefully now.

I had a relatively restful day yesterday apart from walking to the local store for some salad bits. Just under a 3 mile walk ( there and back) .My knee has been a tad niggly so I decided the walk was needed but I had to keeping focusing on making sure I pushed my knee fully back with each step. It's proving too easy to keep it slightly bent to compensate for the pain, so I must work harder on breaking this bad habit.

Have a really super day everybody.:)

It is a lovely start to the day and it should not go over 30c so tolerable.

A calm mind-relaxing day for me as I have the Neurologist consultancy this evening, well 5.50pm, what a silly time. I hope he can come up with some answers for me as I believe he is my last hope!

          Have a pleasant day everyone.

              Good day
The skies are clearing out and it is very warm for this early in the morning 66f. We didn't get a load of water because the sprinkler system still ran this morning so not enough wetness to trigger the rain sensor.

My friend was happy to see me yesterday and the home did a great job with her mother. She looked so "alive yet peaceful" that I felt like reaching out and shaking her hand. An odd experience for me. :noidea: And no, none of the other mutual friends were there. As @Michael Hewett said, people are getting lazy and depending on electronic messages to show any kind of care. It is insulting and callous. I find it even more important to attend when it is someone this old because I know that they can't have many, if any, friends left to help "populate" the visiting room at the funeral home.

Naughty Lori Alert: Her hubby and I sneaked in a little "gardener's chat" before I left. He is the one who gave me the geraniums the other day :)

Today and tomorrow are going to be super busy. I've got loads of legal stuff to wade through and things to go get notarized, I've to get my house tidied up and I've got company coming tomorrow which means I have baking to do too.

So if I'm not here a lot, it's because I simply just don't have time!

              Cheers :coffee:

oops, my bad. My friend's hubby - the son in law - is the gardener. He is in his 80's and a very pleasant fellow.

Got my fingers crossed for @Victoria too!

It is a lovely day, bright and breezy and fresh.

Yesterday went well and Dr Beuno was lovely ... gosh, they are so young in Jeans, boots and golf shirt! For once someone seems to understand my issue and said I walked like I was drunk! I have appointments for a brain MRI and a SSEP test on the 18th. We still have to wear masks in medical scenarios. I felt so relieved and calm after the appointment.

KFC is in front of the Clinic so we stopped and got a bucket of crispy strips. Got home and sat out till 9 o'clock having a drink and nibbling on chicken.

Got my car back on Wednesday. Still waiting for the parts for the accident repair.

J will finish off wall today and I will interpret my medical scan and research.

                    Have a lovely day.

                      Good day
It's been a very busy morning and early afternoon. But very productive

I believe I've got all of the court docs done, served, notarized and filed with the court. Hopefully none of the docs will get rejected.:fingers crossed: I missed Doc Martin today but they'll do re-runs I'm sure.

@Victoria I am glad to hear that you've found somebody who actually understands because they really listened to you! It feels great to get some confirmation :dbgrtmb:

I've got a couple of new ceiling light fixtures for the cellar which I plan to install this afternoon so I best get on with it.

                      Cheers everyone :coffee:

All sounds very optimistic at last Vicky :yahoo:.

We did a slight detour today before visiting my brother. We went into the central town area for a wander. I use to go every week with my Dad to do his weekly shop, but I haven't been since he passed away. Hubs also use to work there too but likewise he hasn't be back in the centre of town since he retired 5 years ago. They have a lovely quaint market there on Tuesdays and Fridays.
My parents both loved Romsey and lived in the same Local Council area. When we were small we use to go to the river to watch the Salmon jump...it was a spectacular sight.
Hubs and I also got married in a little church ( not the Abbey) just on the edge of town.
