They are allowed because they work solidly on a movie ( including weekends) and once it's completed they can take a well earned holiday before being put on another one. Movies have to be completed on time to meet the deadlines of their premiers and general release dates. So if they put in the hours they are justly rewarded with flexibility in their holiday plans.

In my job we weren't allowed to take holiday leave at Christmas/ New Year either as it was our busiest time of year.

      Good morning everyone.

Our temps are on the rise from today, so definitely going to slow down the pace here for this coming week.

Enjoy your Sunday and take it easy if possible .

Bom Dia Blue Boquet.jpeg It is a lovely fresh morning here, starting at 18c going to 26c.

Nothing specific on the agenda for me and think J will putter around doing something to do with The Baffa.

          Morning Vicky :)

          Have a lovely day.

I've just done some deadheading and a bit of watering that I didn't do last night. These plants are still in a bit of morning shade so any water on the foliage won't cause scorching.....:fingers crossed:

          Hugs to you both xx

I've finished here too and J is finishing up before tackling a Baffa job. Looks like you will be getting hotter than us this coming week ... and I don't envy you at all. It's a lovely quiet Sunday, just the birds chirping as the cicadas are not up yet.

You both enjoy a peaceful Sunday too. Hugs, Vxx

              Good day
I only went out to water all of the container plants as it is already quite warm 74f 25c and the sun is starting to blaze. The guessers are betting on a 96f day.

My show is on in a minute and I was going to do a Hilda Ogden but the humidity is extremely high so I figure as soon as I remove the rollers hairmidity would give me a bird's nest. So, I'll wait until tomorrow. :blue thumb:

I've got the bed linens in the washer and will take advantage of another outdoor drying day.

Oh, and one document got rejected because it was not double spaced. No other docs had that in the past 8 years yet these faceless people behind their computers randomly give people a hard time. But poo on them, I had it saved so I could quickly add spacing and preserve the notarization as the content hadn't changed one letter!

Have a good day and cheers, it's Sunday! :coffee:

                  Good morning!!

Why is it that lovely sunny, warm summer's whizz by so quickly yet the grey, cold winters go on and on forever ?.:dunno:

Oh well let's enjoy Summer while it's here.

                  :):hotsun:

It is a hazy start to the day but promises to be sunny, currently 18c going to 26c.

@Flumpy What a lovely family outing and your Mum & Dad look well. What little beauties, those cars. Pleased you had a grand day but didn't look very warm.

J off to get his Covid test this morning in preparation for tomorrow. Strange as he didn't have to have it for the aborted MRI and I have not been told I have to for my scans next week ... same hospital chain! He will stop off at the DIY on the way back.

Have a great day everyone.

                      Good day
@Victoria you're right. Those covid protocols don't make sense!

It is mostly sunny here and very humid and already warm. The guessers have said this is the last day of the heat wave. It was up to 98f yesterday.

I'm going to do a Hilda Ogden this morning and hide inside at my sewing machines. I've got a top about a third of the way done and really should get it finished!

                      Cheers :coffee:

Thanks Victoria, we had a lovely day, but I had a banging headache I’d woken up with behind my eyes and top of my head :rolleyespink:, there where lots of people dressed in Vintage wear but apparently they call the steam punks (never heard of them before). Vicky hope J MRI scan goes ok.

Hope your all enjoying this lovely weather, thankfully I’ve got Wednesday off woohoo

Well I refuse to do that as the sun parasol is there for a purpose.

It was an early start here as J left at 7,30 to go to our friend's who will drive him to the hospital. He arrived there at 8,05. This is travelling the busiest road in Algarve, a two lane, in work traffic!

His Covid test was clear yesterday, got the result late afternoon which he has to take today. One MRI at 10, the second at 11. He slept well last night which was good as he has been having nightmares about it. I will come back later and let you know how he is. He is on a 6 hour fast.

Lori, he asked his doc yesterday about the Covid test and he said he didn't know but guessed it was because he was having an anaesthetic.

Flumpy, hope your headache has eased ... what a day to get such. I've never had a headache ... not that I can remember, like I've never had a cold!

Upsy, enjoy your visit with your sister.

They don't recommend older people going out in extreme heat here ever!

                                Morning Vicky,

Poor J and you too for having to witness him struggling to contain his anxiety. The good thing is that you're a strong couple and you both know you have the love and endless support of the other.
I know you must be feeling very restless and nervous on Js behalf.

Try to rest easy knowing that he has ..Jonn? for support, he'll be home soon before know it. :grphg:xx
