YAWN, YAWN, WAKEY, WAKEY - 2022

It is a lovely sunny day here too! Last night the winds picked up and blew in nice cool air and it made for a refreshing sleep.

I got nearly everything done that I had planned yesterday. Just one 8 foot section of wire to still "unbury" and a couple of wiring issues to correct.

I've already been out and deadheaded my dahlias and chirped with the birds. At this time of year we have loads of varieties of feathered friends because the migrating ones have now joined the residents.

First load of laundry is on the line and I am now going to have my breakfast.

Well my mum tried her dress on but she seems to have lost weight since last year so the dress is hanging off her, going to see if we can get it altered a size down

Good morning Upsy and Flumpy ... I'll keep the theme going.

Hunting season started this morning so gunshots rang out in the distance at sunrise but it has stopped now but can go on any time. We have this now till the New Year. You get used to it ... scares the pee out of tourists!

It is not supposed to get so hot today so we will putter with things.

Bom Dia Vicky! What is it they are shooting? I bet that’s annoying early in the morning?

 

Wild boar, rabbits, birds. You get used to it. As we live in the orchards, shooting is forbidden. It is in the scrublands ... but sound travels. They cannot shoot within ??? meters of houses. Lots of rules ... and fines. License is expensive. Things are not so bad now as say 20 years ago.

We need people here to hunt wild boar @Victoria as they are now becoming more populous and quite dangerous.

It is going to be another sunny day and I have already finished playing in the dirt for today. I moved the last two primula which then made space for the gladiolus that needed planting out.

I'm disappointed that the base that I had dug out and filled with foam, yesterday, to set my umbrella dryer, is a bit "rocky" so that plan did not work out. Back to digging and this time I'll have to use cement. That will wait for another day.

Hopefully the umbrella is stable enough to hold today's drying as I want to duplicate @Flumpy 's and @Upsydaisy 's agenda!

Off now to clean up and put my Hilda "do" on then I can putter during my show.
