I'm taking a break from modern technology for a while, sometimes it gets on my nerves ... all that typing and clicking and words on screens, I find it so un-natural and every so often I have to get away from it.
Nothing personal, it's just the computer ... at the moment I feel like throwing it into a skip. :frown:

        Good morning everyone.:)

Michael I understand completely, although I do still post I have reduced my screen time a fair bit too lately.
We love hearing from you but the main thing is that you and Bella are OK.....take care xx

Well hubs is still on for our little trip out although it must be said he's containing his excitement brilliantly well.;)

I am keeping positive that all will go well and that there won't be any strikes, delays or worse still ...last minute cancellations.
If you don't hear from me this evening then you know we didn't get on that last last bus of the day......:fingers crossed::fingers crossed:

        And we're......

          Morning all

I slept relatively well but still feel sleepy. The last few nights I have been having disjointed dreams and I am not normally a dreamer. Plus these darker mornings ...

It is calm out there but I believe it will be a fine dry but a little rain later in the week.

          Upsy, enjoy your outing.

Good to hear from you Michael. I don't mind being on the computer for a while because it keeps me in touch with my friends and the outside world.

          Good Day.jpeg

            Good day
Oh yes, a break from typing communications is needed now and again.

Hope you're having a super day out @Upsydaisy and that you don't miss that last bus. :hate-shocked:

@Victoria I too am having weird dreams recently. And this morning after I woke up, I played dead for about an hour. Just didn't want to put my feet on the floor!

I've got some work to do and I've got the fabric cuts figured and will start doing that. That is getting the most stressful part of the job out of the way because you can't piece fabric back together if you make a boo boo. Some fabrics go up to over a $100 a yard so it would cost me dearly if I screwed up.

But first I'm going to read the news first, jump in the shower and then get on with my day.

            Cheers all :coffee:

Maybe it is seasonal change Lori with the mornings being darker.

Be careful with that material, ya'hear?

                We're back...and all in one piece.

Had a really super day with the bonus of fabulous weather.
The journey both ways was a doddle with no delays with the 2nd connecting buses.
The route was very beautiful and the little villages were very picturesque. Travelling usually by car we naturally use the motorways for convenience and speed and miss out on the real beauty of our countryside. We were sat upstairs on the buses ,right in the front , so had the best view possible.

I will post pics on Your day apart from gardening thread.

Here's one though...Autumn colours from the bus. 20221018_112022.jpg

So pleased you had a grand day out Upsy and how nice to travel upstairs in front! Where did you have lunch and what? Lovely colours which I don't see here locally as nearly everything is evergreen.

Very nice. I stayed in a B&B there a few years back and enjoyed the church too. Had a little stroll around the town. Funnily enough that is where I saw my first Poundland! It was a teensy shop and actually didn't look out of place at all :)

                      Morning everybody.

I think we're in for a showery day today .

Vicky we only had sandwiches in a little cafe near the Cathedral as we didn't want to stop for too long to eat a full meal.

Back to doing the essentials this morning ......grocery shopping! My most yuk task ! I wish we didn't have to eat, that would solve things.:heehee:

Hope you all have a good day.

                        Hello.jpeg Everyone!

I couldn't do these full day outings, never could actually.

It is 18c and muggyish and I am waiting for the rain to arrive. Nothing special planned as we are forecast for 10 days of the wet stuff (all of Algarve) but I am sure J will find something to do in The Baffa ... he's always fiddling with electrics and hooking things up to be operated by phones! I will be ...

                          Good day
It is chilly and cloudy again. Good thing I've got work to keep me busy indoors!

I do have a few things left to do outside so I am determined to finish my work before Friday because the guessers say it will be pleasant then.

Still shaking off sleep here. I woke up in the middle of the night and the brain wouldn't stop for a few hours so that by the time I fell back asleep it was nearly 6 in the morning.

                          Cheers all :coffee:

Morning Lori, isn't it weird how that happens :noidea:.

I went to bed at 12: 35am last night feeling fairly drowsy, got into bed and Wow! my brain went into overdrive mode!! It started raking up all sorts of issues, and memory provoking thoughts...I got up to visit the bathroom the landing clock read 3:40 and by then I was wide awake!. Our radio comes on and 6am ( hubs gets up early!) and the classical music lulled me off for a short while before hubs brought up my breakfast. Very strange and annoying when that happens though.

                            Have a good day.

                            :)

Oh sorry Vicky I thought I had acknowledged your post.:oopss:

I thought that we were supposed to have showers today, but nope it's lovely , sunny and mild. On the lunchtime news they showed the weather map saying we were going to get rain tomorrow that is pushing up from Portugal and Spain

                              Enjoy your afternoon.

                              :)

Well I survived the gruelling task of grocery shopping, it never puts me in the best of moods but today ....:wallbanging: . I was sat waiting in the car for an hour and 10 minutes for hubs outside our Dr's Surgery. He only had one of his normal routine appointmens. That was before we had hit the shops too!!!:mute:
