Good morning, it's wellies and umbrella time today, and so very dark this morning too.!:yikes:

No plans for today...we'll just go with the (rain) flow .:heehee:

Have a good day whatever your weather is.

Well, it is not a good morning as I only had two hours sleep from 4 something to six something. J got me two Valerian when he went to the bathroom at 1sh but that obviously didn't help. It was so calm and quiet outside. Van kept me company ... I was lying on my side and he curled up in the crook of my knees, which is quite normal. He slithered around and was suddenly in line with me, me in a foetal position, he with his back feet pushing against my shins and all stretched out and I am sure we looked like a two-headed effigy!!! I finally got my legs moved to one side so he got up and flung himself across my hip and thigh!

It is breezy and drizzling out there and supposed to continue all day and for days to come. Van has been out and is back at my feet. Munchkin has not been out and is nodding off between J's knees!

Got a text for my Booster/Flu Shot on the 26th at 15.44 ... one minute before my Ultrasound in a different town, so have not accepted but they will send another date.

Like you Upsy, a go with the rain day.

        Morning Vicky.

Sorry to read that you've had another bad night, it would be good to find out the cause.....maybe something that you've recently started taking.?

Have a long lay in this morning..you might doze off for a while, if you're up before about 11 it shouldn't effect your sleep ( or lack of it:sad:) tonight.

        Take it easy my lovely.:grphg:xxx

Mornin' Upsy. Yes, it can cause sleeplessness I have read ... over the nausea now stay wide awake! I don't eat or drink anything after 9pm so nothing there. I will get up in a moment as I need to walk about.

You take it easy too. xx

            Good day
I hope tonight you get a better sleep @Victoria . To me it is bad enough being very tired but also the sheer frustration of trying to get enough sleep is so maddening. You'd think something so simple as falling asleep would be easy!

It is cloudy and chilly here again. I've only pattern matched and joined a few short widths of fabric for the last of the cushions. It is a cute pattern that has the garment care symbols on it and the cushion will be going into a laundry room. I might sew the cushion later but for now, I'm going to catch up on the news and go and get a few groceries after.

The guessers still say it will pleasant Friday through to Monday so I am looking forward to having only a few morning chores left to do each day and then able to go out in the afternoons. Well, not on Sunday. We're installing a drapery rod system into my client's master bedroom on Sunday morning/early afternoon. But no matter, it just means that another job is finished for now. The rod is permanent and the drapes I'm hanging are temporary until her fabric comes in in 2023.

Now for my cuppa and the news.

            Cheers :coffee:

              Good morning everyone.:)

Vicky I kept everything crossed for you getting a better nights sleep last night.:fingers crossed::fingers crossed::fingers crossed:

We have a right old mix of weather today, a fresh breeze, rain, thunder/ lightening and...hopefully a glimpse now and then of some sunshine.

I can't complain as on the whole we've had a good and mild week.:dbgrtmb:

A day of doing 'this and that ' with no set plans....although I did hear ( but made out that I didn't ;)) hubs mumbling on about needing to get a few bits from town......:yikes::thud:..:nonofinger:. Not if I can help it...I'll find myself an incredibly important job to do ( not sure what..if necessary I'll invent one.:ideaIPB:) and suggest he goes on his own.:blue thumb:

Covid is back on the menu at my brother's supported living place, one of his fellow diners at his table, yet they haven't closed it to visitors and they're not doing daily testing either!!

My older sister was going today but now isn't too keen, we've suggested she doesn't go and if they don't start testing properly we won't be going next week either. Thankfully my brother won't miss us.

Well despite what the weather is like with you all I hope you have a pleasant day.

I overslept this morning ... unheard of and the others didn't wake me! The babies are good and J will stay in bed till the cows come home. I got up sixish for a chichi and felt sick ... but then out like a light! Thanks for sprinkling the magic dust Upsy.

It is grey out there but we didn't have any rain in the night. I bought a rain gauge recently just in time for rain season. We are supposed to have rain later and maybe storms over the weekend.

J is meeting John today as they missed last week.

The weekend is upon us. everyone here will be wishing everyone else a ...

                  Morning Vicky

You're very welcome to all my magic dust, I'll happily send it over in truck loads to you. :grphg:
Glad you slept a bit better but sorry to hear you woke feeling sick again.

We're having intermittent showers...in the middle of a heavy one as I post this. :rain:

Even hubs has been put off from his trip to town !!

Just prepared our midday meal of Lasagne, roast potatoes, cauliflower, carrots, peas and green beans.

Another comfort food day , but I will only have a small bowl of Spinach and Chickpea soup later around half six. So plenty of time to burn off the calories.

Obviously John is feeling better, that's good news.:blue thumb:

Look after yourself my dear friend.xxx

Ps I couldn't give your post a 'like' because you're feeling sick and you have rain and storms brewing.

                    Good day
It is super sunny and 36f 2c. A very heavy frost has just started to cry uncle to the sun.

@Victoria I did give your post a like because I was glad you got sleep and it sounded like the sickness was only temporary? :fingers crossed:

I'm not sure what I'm doing today. I have lots on the list but I got an email that the drapery lining will "ship" to me today. I had originally asked to pick it up because the cost of shippers for a 60 lb. bolt is deadly expensive so I left a message this morning asking if it was a generic email to all and I can pick up or ? They are about 50 miles from me but the savings would still be good if I want to get it.

I do want to dig out the last of the annuals and then finally rehome some tiger lilies that I had dug up in the spring.

And I do have a teensy bit of shopping to do. What is left from yesterday that I just didn't want to bother with.

                    Cheers all :coffee:

Thank you Lori. Yes, it was temporary. I have said to Upsy in an e-mail that I get sinus drainage at times, especially in this heavy damp weather, which can causes stomach upset. It is best if I sleep propped up slightly. Think I am over the nausea from the Statins. :fingers crossed:

Pleased you have the sun as it is awol from here at the moment.

Hope you get your lining as you wish.

                      Have a good day.

Good morning........once again it's Saturday, boy do they come round quickly!!

We should be in for a fairly good day today so we'll hopefully have a day out in our now very soggy garden. :fingers crossed::fingers crossed:
The jobs out there are gradually building up so we must try and stay focused ( easier said than done ;)).

                        Enjoy your day.

Now how cute is this? Morning all.

Had a relatively good night and am looking at Munchkin on the outside windowsill sheltering from the drizzling rain. She will eventually jump down, run around the house through the gate and Courtyard and cat flap to come back in. Van has been out and is back in looking out. Cats are so funny.

I don't know what I will do today ... maybe more clothes sorting. I have two pair of wedge shoes, never worn, I can give to Charity. I will finish a light brown Afghan in the next few days (only do about an hour or two a day, then all this year's crochet is ready for the Charity shop for Christmas.

                          Have a good day.

                            Morning Vicky.

Now that really is a good old dollop of cuteness to start the weekend on.:imphrt:

I keep saying I'm going to learn is to crochet ....and never succeeded. I didn't know that my older sister can manage the basics , she is now doing knitting projects as Autumn and Winter hobbies and has just bought herself a new full set of crochet hooks too.....so who knows this might be the Winter of me mastering a crochet square....... albeit a very small one!!:roflol:

                            Watch this space!!:biggrin::dbgrtmb:

I've finished my clothes sorting, all went to a charity shop in town....before I had 2nd thoughts and started putting things back in the cupboard.

I was planning to sort out my childcare stuff that I had accumulated over the 24 years of working in the field.
All very good quality items and I was so pleased to see a Macmillan charity shop open up down the road in our little local shopping centre. It opened 3 weeks ago and now can't take anymore donations as they are full to overflowing with stuff given to them already!!:yikes:

Glad to hear though that they are being so well supported.:dbgrtmb:

Hope you and J have a super relaxing weekend. xx

                              Good day
It is brilliantly sunny again and I plan to get outside this afternoon to enjoy it.

So I've got laundry going and will be donning my Hilda getup shortly and be cleaning as much as possible while my hair dries. I have to work most of tomorrow and I have company coming Monday so pretty much everything needs to be done today and in the early hours tomorrow morning.

                              Cheers all :coffee:

Hi all :spinning: I’m a little late writing, had to take my mum grocery shopping as my dad as strained his muscle in his groin, lifting big plant pots too heavy for him, he forgets he’s in his 80’s.
This afternoon I’ve been lopping my trees ready for winter and clearing weeds here and there.

Vicky so glad to read your sickness is subsiding and your sleeping well :dbgrtmb:

Upsydaisy did you have a nice time with your sons ?

Lori did you enjoy your thanks giving ?? :spinning:
