The much needed rain just stopped after blessing us steadily all night. The sun will wake up soon.

Nothing special planned here, perhaps J doing some grocery shopping.

    Enjoy your outing Upsy!

      Good day
It is going to be another sunny day and get up to 56f 12c which is yet another treat. Three more days of this mild stuff and then we're going into the freezer every night. It's been a good long run of bonus mild days.

I don't have too much on my plate today. I do need to go and see my wine guy today as my batch is ready to package. I'll have to figure out how to stretch the time between starting new batches because now I've got a bit of a glut of wine down in the cellar. It's keeping the rhyzomes and bulbs company in the dark fruit cellar :heehee:

I went to lay out some fabric yesterday and discovered that the winter theme pattern in running with the grain instead of across. Now who does that with a knit? I have no idea what to use it for now! I'm meeting a friend for breakfast tomorrow and she is a wizard with fabric so she might have some good suggestions. :fingers crossed:

      Cheers all :coffee:

        Good day Lori.
I don't understand what you mean by a 'winter theme'? Picture please.

The deer/antelop/caribou - don't know which one, are running up and down the fabric instead of across. And the stretch is side to side with almost zero stretch going up the grain so it is impossible to make the animals upright. I only quick grabbed the fabric because I liked the colours and texture. Too bad I didn't notice this challenge!

I like the fabric too. Shame about the direction and stretch.

              Good morning everyone.:)

              Hope you're all well today.

Having a day at home today, the first this week. The laundry has been done and is waiting to be hung outside. The weather is looking good so hopefully a much needed day in the garden .:gardening:

Hope you all have a great day and that the weather behaves for you too.

The sun is up and will visit all day.

J is lunching with John today instead of tomorrow as John s moving from the town cottage to the farm tomorrow. I will pack and organise all the crochet I have done this year to take to the cat charity shop tomorrow. I get a tax deduction receipt for it.

Nothing else planned for me, just a quiet day.

                  Good day
It is another mild morning. 49f 8c and the guessers say we're going up to 64f. And the mild temps will be served with full sun. Bonus, big time!

I'm out most of the morning but this afternoon I will take advantage of this last mild day we're going to have before the big chill hits.

@Upsydaisy I hope your drying happens nicely and @Victoria your cat charity donations sound like a wonderful way to help your community. :)

I'm meeting my friend for brekkie and we always have a fun time chatting. We always tell the staff at the restaurant that they can kick us out if they need the table but it has never happened so far. I figure it is because we always go after the morning rush.

I'm stopping at the fabric store to see if I can find a nice piece of fabric, which has the pattern running the correct direction, to make another top and perhaps something else for a car jacket as well.

When I carried my wine down to the cellar yesterday, I counted what I already had there and my goodness, I sure do have a glut of the stuff. I'd already arranged to pick up more next month and I won't call back to the store and cancel. I'll just make a mental note to NOT order more next time

Well, time to read the newspaper to catch up with today's blah blah blah and then get cleaned up and out the door.

                  Cheers :coffee:

That's nice, it's good to do something like that. I have been hoping to make some things like coasters and bookmarks to sell for a local cat rescue charity (they have other animals too but mostly cats) Maybe over the winter I'll get around to it

I work on things all year ready for Christmas so they can be bought as gifts. I have a dozen items this year, larger afghans, lap afghans and some shawls and scarves. I have started now on a colour-changing afghan. I only do two/three hours a day over a few sessions. Keeps my hands and mind occupied often watching the TV, like now with Garden Rescue.

That's good ! I hope to start early next year and give things I make as gifts. It has been difficult this year because of all the building work going on and the resulting mess.

                            Good morning. :)

The above is definitely a task that is top of my list of jobs to do today.
                            The leaves are everywhere!!!

Yesterday morning I was on ladder duty as hubs wanted to go up and get the outside cameras down to clean and then replace before the winter sets in. We also played around with them a bit and altered their angles.

The strong winds had ripped off one side of the closure roll downs on the big walled cold frame. We were so surprised as that was really secure too.:dunno: That will be a job for hubs this morning.

Still trying to work out my online issues, not the internet as the connection is fine. It seems my tablets ,both old and newer, are misbehaving. So that is a work in progress task.

This afternoon I'm popping over to visit my older sister......with cake!!:heehee:

                            Have a lovely day.

Cat zzz.jpeg I feel a little like this. I woke at 4.30am for some reason and then only snoozed.

Off after lunch to Albufeira to the charity shop. It is about a half hour's journey if there is no traffic. I have a new handbag with cats on it and two pair of new sandals to add.

Doesn't eldest sister live London way Upsy?

Haven't seen those corner book marks in yonks Lori. Neat idea for stockings.

                                Morning Vicky.
Sorry to hear of your disturbed sleep again, have a restful day and enjoy the trip out, is it a scenic route to Albufeira ? If not then close your eyes and have a doze......that is if you're driving.:yikes:

No it's younger sis that lives about a hour's drive away , older sis lives just 5 mins down the road.

Take it easy and enjoy your day.xx
