    Morning all.

Nice to see you here Upsy and I hope you feel better soooon. xx

How sweet of you Karen. xx

We still have no internet and I can't upload. Lori, I am lost in the ethernet. :rolleyespink: J worked in that business and the world would run on a mobile given his druthers. Our TVs, air/heating/various lights run on mobile so he has been busy making things work. Have had response from our supplier so let's see how long things take.

We had a a bit of rain in the night, 2mm in the gauge, but I didn't hear it as I was asleep ... eight hours in two sessions, I was so tired yesterday. :snooze: Showers expected later today.

J was with the ENT guy about 10 minutes ... after blasting his ear out his hearing was back! That is because he "excavated" his ears (his words) Friday night and obviously made a blockage. So 60 Euros later and an hour's round trip journey ...

      I'm sorry you are unwell @Upsydaisy, I hope you'll be feeling better soon x x x :imphrt:

Sorry too about your mother's lip @Flumpy
and that your internet is not working @Victoria
I hope all will be well with everyone :grphg:

There's a lot on this forum that doesn't interest me too @CanadianLori, I mostly tend to follow the gardening related threads and ones relating to nature etc.

          Good day
It is cloudy, windy and 32f 0c . The guessers say to expect snow later on but we will only receive a pittance - perhaps 5 cm. Easy peasy.

My peony root tuber and fritillaria bulb arrived in last night's mail. The peony is now in a pot but the bulb, well it arrived split. So I'll have to ask them to send me a replacement. upload_2022-11-15_7-58-17.png

I'm going to be starting my jacket today. I decided to line it, so it will take me some time to figure out how to put it together. Good thing to keep me busy as it sure isn't nice enough to go outside to play!

          Cheers all :coffee:

You are very creative with sewing and baking etc, have you always been like that ? :)

Morning everyone ,how are you all.

I will read back on the posts when I can comfortably look at the screen.

Still feeling awful ,headache, coughing, sneezing, not really wanting to eat as everything tastes salty...even fruit!! When I do eat a bit I feel really nauseous straight after...... so all in all not a very happy person at the moment.

I rarely get colds so when I do they make me extremely grumpy.

Hey ho it will pass....it just better be soon.

              Have a good day

J's lunch has been cancelled as Brenda has Covid. Had all shots but they went to an Andre Rieu concert in Lisbon at the weekend. Cancelling just in case ... best be safe.

                      Good day
It is snowing and 30f -1 . I need to do a little grocery shop today as it is the last day of this weeks offers and I want to get more butter and they have my soda that I use in my spritzers on super cheap. One place I go has bright, heated underground parking so that will be a warm errand :)

@Flumpy I almost flunked sewing in high school but I think that is because I did not like the projects we were forced to do. Before I started my business I went back and got my degree which included fabric arts and construction (sewing etc) and I ran a successful workroom after that. Sewing clothes, new to that and I enjoy it. Maybe because I don't use the pain in the behind methods they taught in high school. Total rubbish which made it tedious. Baking- I like eating baked goods...

I didn't make the jacket yesterday. I decided instead to tackle a top designed by some russian. A friend shared the pattern with me two years ago and I figured I might as well try it. The instructions were pretty much non-existent. Process the sleeve. Process the ... and no line drawing showing what the process is. Had to do a bit of seam ripping to finally get it right and also make adjustments because the pattern pieces weren't even the same lengths. And now I've got another top worthy of gardening or housework...:heehee:

Hope you're feeling better soon @Upsydaisy and @Victoria best of luck with that repairman showing up soon!

                      Cheers :coffee:

If we had your snow @CanadianLori , you wouldn't be going anywhere today, the roads would be choked up with
abandoned vehicles, jackknifed lorries, all hills would be impassable and the railways would be saying "its the wrong kind of snow".:roflol:

Gritters would be out in force and wondering if they are going to have enough salt this year.

Heated parking, "you cannot be serious".

You dont realise how easy you get it over there.;)

Yes, the heated parking is a luxury and they have cartveyors at this store that carry the cart down to the parking area as you accompany it on an escalator beside it. Quite a treat.

The other store. Nope. Walking through slush. Luckily I didn't need a cart to go back to the van. Just grabbed my bag and ran back out.

It took more time to get the snow and ice off the windows, mirrors and lights on the van than it did to do the shopping! The leftover snow on the body melted off in the store's underground ;)

Edit: forgot to mention the music down there was a good mix too ..

Lori, wish we had heated parking, when we get snow it gets trampled down and just ice on the pavements, hate scraping car windows first thing in the morning or even when I’ve finished work.

Hi Vicky hope you & hubby had a nice day :)

I’m going to see the specialist tomorrow as the doctor referred me three months ago as I’ve had a few ear infections over the last five years in the same ear, fingers crossed :dbgrtmb:

I don't envy your weather @CanadianLori but you seem to cope with snow better than we do here. We're not really used to it.
Personally I hate the sight of it :frown:

I hope all goes well for you with the specialist @Flumpy ...

Morning Michael and all who follow.
It was grey earlier but the sun is up now but for how long?
Internet still down but we have a repair number which is a start.
My two plants are on their way from Italy, 11 days late, due on Monday. Strangely I have been given credit for one so we'll see how many arrive.
That's it for now folks, have a good day.
