Thank you for asking @Flumpy . She is fine. She goes for intravenous meds every 6-8 weeks and that will be for the rest of her life which will probably be a long happy one! :)

Good morning everyone.... how are you all today?

I have a few jobs that I want to get done this week both inside and outside before my surgery next week.....so lots to do to keep me out of trouble!!;)

Still have heard from baby son, I had thought that he was only in New York for a long weekend but yesterday a lot of flights were cancelled due to the weather so it's a waiting game now.:noidea:

Our forecast isn't bad for today....that's January almost done with.....Spring is getting nearer!

Have a good day and keep safe.

        Good day
It is fairly mild 17f -8c and total cloud cover with no breeze. The clipper is slow getting here!

Like you @Upsydaisy I have lots of things that need doing inside and out. Well, not so much out as there is still a couple of feet of snow on the ground.

I've already flipped my calendar to February since I've had enough of January. ;)

        Cheers all :coffee:

Thanks Michael. I can't wait to have it done it'll be 2 years in March when it must've happened , although I can't remember how or when exactly, just the start of all the pain and discomfort. I'm hoping I'll be pain free by the time Spring arrives.:fingers crossed::fingers crossed:

                Aloha everyone,

Good luck with the surgery @Upsydaisy :blue thumb:

Our trip on the Nile was OK but not as good as I expected although there was a good bit of local colour given by the guide who is English but has lived out there for 27 years.

I got a lot done in the garden yesterday. It was sunny but with a cold wind so I tried to work in parts of the garden that were a bit more sheltered. We've filled up all of the neighbours' wheelie bins and they don't get collected until tomorrow. I still haven't cleared up all the wind damage but that can be done today. There are lots of branches to be dragged to the bonfire. Most of them are dead or almost dead branches so should burn well when I do it. I just have to wait until the wind is blowing across the fields. My neighbours will then chuck their branches over the fence for me to burn. The six year old girl next door has asked me to wait until she's home from school. :)

                Keep well

                Aloha!

It fairly mild, 19f -7c and very calm out there. The sky is streaked with clouds but still very bright.:)

@Upsydaisy only a week to go. These days, osteo people are able to do miracles so it looks like you're going to have a great summer!

@shiney it is too bad that moss doesn't burn. And all you other yawn yawn friends, have a lovely day. :dbgrtmb:

You're lucky, ours finish for the winter, they start collecting again in March :frown:

I can't believe it's gone so quickly :yikes:

They tried stopping green waste wheelie bins round here but found it cost them more time and money to clear up what people dumped on the grass verges. I had warned them in advance as I had heard grumbles from people. :noidea:

I have five compost heaps with an average size of 5ft x 5ft x 5ft. They go up higher than that but rot down quickly. We have three green waste wheelie bins with no charge from the council. They tried charging for it by moving from bins to bags and charging for them and had the same problem with people dumping on the grass verges. :noidea:

                                Good day
It's a heat wave here 34f 2c and the guessers said we'll have to wait until later this afternoon for the temperature to drop and the snow to start.

I'm late getting myself in gear today. I've taken extra time to read the papers and watch the news. An informative form of procrastination:heehee:

I'm thinking about making @Michael Hewett 's boiled cake recipe as I have done the custard slices and then yesterday made butter pecan ice cream and chocolate ice cream. Did I mention I'm supposed to be backing off the feed bag as my slacks are getting tight?

                                Cheers all :coffee:
