    Good day
It is still dark and 30f -1c. The guessers have said that we will get a "mixture of sun and cloud" which would be nice as my batteries are starting to get a little low.

@Flumpy I hope the specialist finds the problem and it is something that he can heal quickly :fingers crossed:

@Michael Hewett yes, we are used to the snow and this little bit yesterday was only a tease. When we get it feet deep, that's when the serious shoveling starts. Most over here have snow tyres so it really only just slows us down a little when out and about.

@Victoria I hope the credit was a pleasant mistake and you get everything you ordered. It is such a huge disappointment when you've got your heart set on a particular plant and it is a no show.

It is 6:22 a.m. here and I plan to jump in the shower and get cleaned up and out the door. One grocer has flour on offer starting this morning and at a price almost as low as it was 1 1/2 years ago. I intend to get some as soon as their doors open. I use a 10 kilo bag per month and an extra one at Christmas so this will help my grocery budget big time!

    Cheers all :coffee:

My neighbour in America used to visit this shop and that getting bargains and using coupons. I never could be bothered to go to different stores. Of course nowadays one thinks about fuel costs too.

Our one shopping centre here that I know of (there could be more) has moving trolley ramps.

I will keep posted on my plants mystery.

Oh yes, @Victoria the cost of fuel always is in mind. I usually try to make a circuit so as to make all of my stops a continuous loop back to home. The furthest shop that I usually haunt is about 4 miles from me. I had to come home in between shops this morning because my remaining stops weren't open yet. But I got my 30 kilos of flour to get me through until the New Year, so I'm happy :)

Oh, that is not far at all. The two nearest towns to me are equidistant at 6.5kms (4 miles). South is Algoz with just has a small store, North is Messines with a supermarket. It is 20.5 kms (18 miles) to Lidl and Modelo in Silves East of us and, a bit less West to Guia where there is an Aldi and a Modelo. So it would be a very big loop here. ;)

It is a grey start and breezy with perhaps showers later.
            Still no Internet.
I slept like a log last night ... eight hours total, unheard of but welcome.
J meeting John for lunch. John is finally settled at the farm with the dogs and cat. :doggieshmooze::doggieshmooze::cat-kittyandsmiley:
Missing you Upsy and hope you are feeling better. I will jot a note later. xx

              Good day
It is 29f -2c and the skies are cloudy with some blue streaks. The snow the guessers promised are late coming which suits me just fine as today is our recycle to the kerb day and it'd be nicer for the bin men if it didn't covered in snow.

Yes @Victoria it is sad that @Upsydaisy is so ill. Let's hope she gets better soon. :fingers crossed: And I'm glad you got a solid 8. That is incredible!

I've got a puttering day ahead of me. Lots of dusting and tidying is going to happen. And I may go back to the one grocer to snag some more flour while it is still on offer. I've got 30k now but a couple more won't go amiss :blue thumb:

              Cheers :coffee:

                  Good morning.

Trying not to spread my bugs but just wanted to to drop by and wish you all a lovely weekend.

I have only managed to read back to a few posts and would like to thank you all for your well wishes.

It really has taken it's toll on me this week and has knocked me out completely.
This is the first virus bug that I've gone down with since I was diagnosed last year with having 2 separate areas of low immunity, both have been affected somewhat but the main area that has cause problems for me is respiratory and it's proving stubbornly hard to budge.

I'm completely whacked out too with a very aching body ,due I think mainly to all the coughing and wheezing.

Wishing you all a more fun weekend than mine is obviously going to be.

It is bright and sunny but a very nippy 10c.

Upsy, SO pleased to see you this morning. xx

Still no Internet. J said when he saw John yesterday, John said he has not had it either since Wednesday, and he is a good 20 minutes from us. Also J saw a repair vehicle about a kilometer from us (no repairmen) so maybe there is hope!

                      Wishing everyone a good weekend.

                        Good day
There is a thin veil of clouds trying to block out the sun and it is 26f -3. The snow did not arrive as yet. Only an hour from me, they received 5 feet of snow :yikes: Some of that system is supposed to circle over us tonight but we have been fortunate to miss so much of it up until then.

@Upsydaisy keep warm and cozy and don't push yourself. None of us are getting any younger and everything takes longer to recover from.

@Michael Hewett I usually come to this thread first but revisited your greenhouse thread first to start my day by looking at some really nice windows and a fine collection of pricklies. :dbgrtmb:

@Victoria this WIFI outage is terrible. I can't imagine what people would do if they had no data on their phone and for this length of time.

@Flumpy I hope you're having a good day and if at work, a stress-less one.

I've got laundry on the go and have a few projects to do that will be amusing and relaxing :)

                        Cheers :coffee:

Morning all. It is a bright sunny start here but only 10c going to 19c with sun and cloud.

Just a quiet Sunday here ... after the long, hot soak in the tub! My feet and legs really appreciate the pampering. J has one following me and Munchkin usually joins him, ie, sitting on his chest. She only sits on the edge with me and drinks the water ... she comes running from wherever the moment she hears the water. :heehee::cat-kittyandsmiley:
