Morning all. It is lovely and sunny but a nippy 8c with a breeze. Munchkin wouldn't even venture out. After great contemplation Van did ... but is back in now. all back on the bed now! :heehee:

What date to you go to London Upsy? Don't start fretting yet ... but I know you will! :imphrt:

J has to have a root canal. He is on antibiotics and is not a good patient! He has had one before, I have had two. He cut the Plumbago for me yesterday, bless when he was suffering. xx

No Karen, never been to Italy, only Spain, France, Holland, Belgium and Germany. Yes, peplum tops look great ... if you have a waist, which I have sadly lost. :frown:

A go with the flow day here.

      Good day
It is 34f 1c here and the sky is blanketed. The guessers did tell us that we would be cloudy and rainy for the next couple of days but still warm for this time of year. Can't believe they got it right!

@Victoria your pussies would not venture outside between October and May here is 8c is nippy to them. And we are promised that the temperature will be below freezing overnight from now until, well, spring I guess.

Looks like a serene location @Upsydaisy. Breath in the calm :spinning:

@Flumpy a better position will pop up for you. :fingers crossed:

I'm hoping the dentist calls shortly after their office opens this morning. I'd like to get that appointment set up so I can plan around it. I want to arrange to get some walkers to a lady who is having a hip replacement soon. I don't know the lady but she advertised on freecycle that she is will be having the operation next week and I have the walkers she will need.

Cheers all (you too @Michael Hewett ) :coffee:

        Aldbourne in Wiltshire.
A pretty little village set around a central green.

My paternal family have strong roots here ,although my father was a Londoner, he and his family spent a lot of time here .

Many of my ancestors are buried in the churchyard. I went back with my Dad and Uncle a few years before he passed away.

No real plans for today ,although we do have things that need doing. Just not in the mood for going out anywhere, not sure how long we can escape not attending to them for.:heehee:

        Enjoy your day everyone.

The sun is up so he can put his sunglasses on ... but it is a brisk 8c here in the orchards with a breeze. We may have showers later going to 18c.

No Lori, neither the furries nor me would venture outside during that period!!! Did you get that Dentist appointment?

No internet/landline again this morning so J has connected us to the mobile again!

          No plans here either.

J contacted MEO our supplier on Facebook and they have responded saying there are problems in our area.

              Thanks @CanadianLori

Pretty village @Upsydaisy, and how lovely to have roots there

You're having lots of problems lately with internet @Victoria , I wouldn't have a clue what to do if something went wrong with mine.

I may go to visit some old friends of my parents today later on, and take them a Christmas card. They live near where I grew up, about 8 miles from here.

                Good day
It is very mild, 48f 8c and raining. The guessers are saying the temperature will plummet as the winds pick up and are expected to huff around the 90 kmh mark.

@Victoria "problems in the area". Good grief, you already knew that! I hope they do a permanent fix quickly.

I did get a dental appointment yesterday afternoon and the crater is now filled. They noted that three other large amalgam fillings need replacing. I don't know which day they are doing the two that are side by each. I go back this morning for 1 or 2 to be replaced and then again tomorrow afternoon for the final 1 or 2. And I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning in the opposite direction so a little bit of driving about to be done. The good thing is that is the end of medical appointments for the next 6 months. :)

                Cheers all :coffee:

                  Good morning!

A winter pic rather than an Autumnal one today.

This is the house where Jane Austen spent the last year's of her life in the village of Chawton. Hampshire . It's about 20 miles from us. She was born in Steventon about 16 miles away, she is Buried at Winchester Cathedral.

Extremely foggy this morning so not too sure what we will be doing today.

                  Have a good day.

The sun is popping in and out and it is very breezy but slightly warmer at 10c heading for 17c. We had a little much needed rain yesterday evening, only 11mm but thankful for anything.

Brrr that looks cold Upsy. Reminds me of our Bucks house in the snow ...
                    lh1.png lh3.png

Trusting the dental appointments all went/go well Lori. I had all my amalgam fillings replaced with enamel. They are banned in some places now. J goes back on Monday afternoon ... I have my Ultrasound on Monday morning! December is full of appointments.

I am hoping a plant I ordered from Germany might come by DHL today. Delivery is 1=6 December but it arrived in Portugal on Monday!

                    Have a good one.

                      Morning Vicky
Lovely pics, snow makes everything pretty and magical looking......it hides all the unsightly bits beneath it!!

Snow and cold are Ok, it's the grey dampness I so dislike.

                      Which plant have you ordered?

Sounds like a busy day for you both on Monday !!

                      Have a peaceful day. xx

I bought a new printer last year but I can't use it, I can't make head or tail of it.
The chap who sold it to me (in Currys) said it was easy to use, but it isn't.
It has a tiny touch screen at the front but my old fingers are too clumsy for it, I keep touching several things at once and that sends it doolaly ! (and it sends me doolaly too :heehee:)

The writing on the screen is tiny and even after I've managed to read it I don't understand what it's saying, and I've run out of patience ... so I found a place in Carmarthen where they offer 'on-line support' , and they're willing to come to my house to show me what to do. A man is coming by 2 PM today :blue thumb:

                          Morning Michael,

                          Hope you're well today.

                          That brilliant news!
You will undoubtedly find it so handy.

My only tip would be to take notes.
Our eldest is always explaining things to us and at the time it's easy to think you will remember everything....but time proves this to be wrong and many a time we've had to ask him to go over it all again . Thankfully all our brood are very patient with us.......well to be honest it's mostly me that gets so confused.

                          Take care.xx

                            Morning Upsy and Michael

The plant is another Adenium obesum Upsy. I have bought all baby plants so far but decided to spring for a more grown one. I will put a pic up when it arrives. Forgot it is a holiday here today so not sure if DHL will deliver! Thatis probably why there were gunshot in the distance at sunrise as hunting is permitted on holidays.

The sun has gone away and it is dismal now. :frown:

Michael, I empathise. Sometimes I hate technology. I have slim fingers but long fingernails and they cause problems, even typing. I don't like these screens that have dark grey writing and light grey background. Great for digging in pots though!

Our Internet was supposed to be back at 8pm last night ... but it is still out. MEO says they are working on it. This is an issue when you live in the country over 6 kms/nearly 4 miles from any tower.

                              Good day,
@Upsydaisy your picture matches my view outside. It is 26f -3c, very windy and snowing.

My last filling replacement is today and I'll be glad as it seems to be getting tedious going there a three days in a row.

@Michael Hewett and @Victoria it's too bad I'm not near you as I have plenty of those pens with the stylus (rubber tip) at the top. I had ordered them with that feature precisely because of these small displays that need you to select your choices. My clients like them and I'd send some to you in a flash if I were closer!

Looks like my shipments aren't going to get to Niagara Falls, NY for this weekend which could really louse up next weekend because that is when I usually start my marathon cookie baking. :doh:I'll probably figure out an alternate "mall rat" trip for the girls and go down one day during the week. Oh, wait, I'm already booked Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday for social events..:doh::doh:Time to think!

And that said, I think I will have another cuppa and try to get my head on straight :rolleyespink:

                              Cheers :coffee:

The 'on-line support' man has been, he was very good. I wrote everything down, and he told me if I had any more questions or wanted more help, just give him a ring.
He said I didn't need the tiny screen with minute writing, just do what he said and ignore the screen. That's a big relief
It cost £45 for the hour he was here but I think it's money well spent, because otherwise the printer would be wasted.
I can make some coasters fridge magnets and bookmarks as Christmas gifts now

I hope your plant will arrive soon @Victoria

Yes I am well thank you @Upsydaisy, I hope you're better too xx

Hope you won't need any more dental visits @CanadianLori !
