    Good morning.

Gosh ! What a wet day we had yesterday :yikes:, it actually looked like a piece of very colourful work of art on the forecast yesterday. :roflol:

The laundry is finally done and will be hung out in a minute, none is needed to take away with us but I just don't like leaving soiled laundry in the wash basket.

Had a good visit with my brother yesterday when we went armed with mince pies!

He began talking about where our Grandparents use to live and tried to recall memories, some of which were spot on too. :dbgrtmb:
So we spent a fair bit of time on Google Earth looking at how their old homes looked like now and explored how much their locality had changed from how we remember them from our childhood days.

    A nice morning indeed.

We are going to get a call from our youngest later on before he heads off on his latest travel adventures tomorrow. I try very hard not to fret when he goes off by himself ,which he prefers to do on trips like these although he does have friends joining him at various times for a week here and there, but whatever age they are they are always our babies and ...we worry!:)

Right must get on, things to do.

    Have a great day everyone.:)

    :spinning:

Morning all. Had a bit of a topsy turvey night but fell back asleep so am not 100% with it yet!

We have light rain and breezy at the moment and under a Yellow Warning till noon.

An eye opener Lori. I preferred plain covers, actually those silver coated type.

As the new Internet Supplier is now a 'no go' due to us not being in line of sight of the tower, today is a quiet day.

        Morning Vicky

When will your internet saga end...truly awful....you could be relying on it for your every day living and needs.!!

Try and relax and go with the flow of your quiet day.

Hi Upsy. xx The nice guy who came out from Lazer told J he had a friend who is an 'Internet Broker' so to speak. This friend phoned J and according to him because of our location MEO (who we are with) is our best option!!!

Okay, we are on-line but MEO is so unreliable ... at least in our case.

                  Good day,
It is 28f -2c and the guessers say the sun will again peek through the clouds for short spells throughout the day.

@Victoria I'm glad your internet is up and running even though it might be sporadic. @Upsydaisy does your son do all this travelling for business and then incorporates sightseeing outside of work hours? It sounds like he's been everywhere!

Another Hilda day for me today and good timing as I did the rest of my Christmas shopping and the vegetables are all sitting in the fruit cellar awaiting the big day. I'm also going to finish putting together some kits with sewing accessories for Sam and Emily. Emily already has most of hers from a previous visit but I just remembered a few more things that would be handy to her. Sam, well, it turned out she has one needle for her sewing machine, one spool of thread and a pair of scissors and all the bobbins I gave her at thanksgiving. :yikes: So I've collected seam rippers, thimble, packages of sewing machine needles, straight pins, elastic, about 15 different coloured spools of thread, cloth markers, point turner and on and on. I cannot imagine enjoying sewing without the proper equipment so this package should help.

I was reading an article in Gizmodo about the crinkle-crankle walls over there and was fascinated. Oh to have an estate and the space (and money) to have one of those![IMG]

So basically a quiet day indoors. I hope everyone else has a stress free day too :)

                  Cheers :coffee:

No worries...I've probably even read it Vicky, my brain is all over the place at present.Sorry.

Hasn't helped that our youngest baby video called us this morning and enlightened us into the crime rates ( murders and stabbings) in the places he's visiting. As he flies tomorrow, we better make the most of the last night of sleep until the beginning of March!!:snooze::snooze:

                      Morning Lori
I think I've seen that wall...or one exactly like it.

No he just hates our Winters, so takes 8- 10 week holidays to escape them.

                      Have a good day.:)

                        Good morning everyone. :)

A bit of a damp start here this morning but hopefully it will become drier by lunchtime.:fingers crossed:

Not long now before the big day, I hope all your preparations are going smoothly and that the run up will remain calm and stress free for all.

                        Have good day.

Morning ... would like to do this but have to get tail into motion this morning.

How is the train situation Upsy? Happy, safe journey. xx

We leave about 9.30am to go to Loule for my Biocard. I have 10 year Residency which is a tr-fold about the size of a credit card with photo and fingerprint. Today is for ex-Brexit plastic card, new photo and fingerprint. They say it only takes 10 minutes, in and out.

                          Wishing everyone a good day.

                            Good day
It is still a bit dark 19f -7c and the guessers say my solar panels will get a short feeding today :blue thumb:

@Upsydaisy I too hope that your travel plans aren't further complicated.

@Victoria love you cats having a total lay in. I wish I could have done that, I did get up a bit later but that is because I read until 1 in the morning. Silly me :doh:I hope your I.D. process is as quick as they claim :fingers crossed:

I will be puttering today. Probably I shall be getting more of the seed starting supplies prepped. After all, it's been over a month since I last did any actual gardening!

Have a stress free day all.

                            Cheers :coffee:

2022 has not been the best year ...

We got to the SEF (Servico de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras -Immigration and Border Service) early and 15 minutes after my appointment time we were informed the computers were down!!! One couple the husband got done and the computer went down doing his wife! So, I have written SEF to request another appointment. I had hoped all my appointments would be done in December ,,, but no, we will carry over to 2023! Grrrrr!
