      Good morning :spinning:
Just woke up with a nice headache, my body isn’t used to having so much sleep :rolleyespink:, off to my parents today to have a good chin wag and a cup of tea.
Got a new smart watch off my hubby it counts your steps, tells your your blood pressure, weather, messages, steps and more, I’m interested to know how many steps I do at work a day :heehee:

Hi everyone ,no not late up ...:heehee:

Oh @Flumpy I too find that
oversleeping ( a very rare event indeed) or just laying in always kickstarts a headache too.....but are you sure it's not the Rum ;) :heehee:

Son has one of those watch things too, whenever he comes to stay I tend to nabbed it, amazing how many steps you actually do, whether at work or just going about your normal day to day routines at home. Also in the garden...especially when you keep forgetting things like I tend to when outside, I go back and forth to the greenhouse constantly for items I forget!!
On Saturday we walked about for most of the day, son told us how many steps he had done ( I forgot now but alot!!) ,I reminded him that as he's 6ft 5in....... his strides are mostly double ours, ( although he is good when he remembers and slows down , unlike our galloping youngest!!) so hubs and I did absolutely loads in comparison to him !!;)

Hi Vicky, you and J enjoy a restful day.xx

Michael hold on and revisit all those happy memories.....they are the most precious gifts we are given.
I get desperately sad over not having my Mum and Dad here especially over the Christmas holidays, I just try to keep busy and now the happy memories are gradually taking over .x

          Have fun everyone.xx

            Good day everyone,
It is 19f -8c and there are little snow flakes try to make an impression.

@Flumpy I got up at the same time as you only my time. It was a long day yesterday and I still have some tidy up to do. I too am lethargic but I know once I hit the shower, I'll perk up a bit.

This morning will be finishing tidying up and this afternoon, making soil blocks for the chilies and kelsaes. And in between things, trying to flatten my behind by sitting on it a lot :heehee:

            Cheers :coffee:

Hi all, wow! We’ve just got back from my parents and on the way home we had heavy hale and rain, you could see the tyre tracks in the main road, my brother joined us at there house and we had a good chat about all sorts.

Glad to say my headache has gone, it’s definitely not the rum as I only had one :heehee:

Upsydaisy wow your sons are tall, I’m like you I have to tell my hubby to slow down sometimes :heehee:

Lori and all hope your having a nice relax now

People are buying up doll beds for their cats. Ours have a bed, dark wood but over the years the little feet have got lost. It is used daily next to the fire (even if the fire is not lit) but when we go to bed so do they. They don't go in it together, they actually take turns.

Morning all. It is a bright, sunny day with 13c heading for 22c. I don't think anything is on the cards.

Morning everyone, a tad late as I couldn't decide on a pic but as some mince pies are looking at me ...still....... I thought they would be good enough. Help yourselves...if you can still face them :heehee:, we have plenty.

                  Cute pic Vicky. :cat-kittyandsmiley::cat-kittyandsmiley:

Off into the city again today , if the forecast is correct then:fingers crossed: we shouldn't get any rain until later on, so we should be Ok.

                  Enjoy your day everyone.

Morning Upsy. We haven't had any mince pies. J loves them but didn't get to Iceland.

Enjoy your jaunt around he City and hope it keeps dry. :fingers crossed:

They are fertilising the orchards so both furries are back in bed. :cat-kittyandsmiley::cat-kittyandsmiley:

                        Morning Karen.

It is funny, when I go to bed, Van follows me (first to the bathroom) then jumps on the bed and I barely have a chance to get under the covers before he flings himself across my right hip. Munch often starts at our feet but migrates up.

                        With you 100% here!

                        Enjoy your last free day.

                            Good day
It is still quite dark but I can see the tops of the conifers bending a bit with the wind. It is up to 20f -5c. The guessers are calling for a bit more snow and then it will be turning into rain over night as the temperature creeps above freezing.

I've just had a piece of that lovely coffee bundt cake and am enjoying my first cuppa. And my DIL brought me a big tin of fudge to enjoy in the afternoons. I tried some yesterday and found it is much nicer than my recipe! So after I told her this, she said she will share this, her grandmother's, recipe. I promised to show her how to make sponge toffee in exchange :)

Yesterday my neighbour across the street asked me for the recipe for my hot pepper bread and I felt badly as I had stopped giving them any breads about a year and a half ago. The last time I did, he mentioned that his wife was making great bread and rolls. So I backed off because I figure it is would be insulting to her. You don't take a bologna sandwich to a banquet! Turns out it was only a covid period of baking.

I'm going to start packing up the Christmas decorations today. I like to do that before the ornaments start getting dusty. Lazy Lori...

                            Have a lovely day all.

                            Cheers :coffee:

                                Hi everyone!

Yes Vicky fortunately it stayed dry here all day and in fact now we are safely back at son's place it has just started to rain lightly. How lucky were we!!

No way @Flumpy ..:gaah:..you should know me by now, I absolutely detest shopping of all kinds. Anyway I / we don't need anything......I would prefer to go without even if we did.:heehee:

Don't you find that you get into a regular habit though Flumpy.....even though we have no radio alarm set here we still are both awake by 6am.

Lori that Coffee cake sounds scrumptious...one of my ( many ;)) faves.

We went to the British Museum today, I've been several times but you can never get to see it all. We picked areas of particular interest to us.

One area was Ancient Persia/ Iran. We covered many others too.

I will post further on the 'Your day, apart from gardening ' ( or of similar wording ) thread.
