Interesting - I must remember to look at that, I usually look only at garden/nature threads, and this one sometimes.

        Good day
It is 34f 1c and going to get warmer. The guessers say we will get a little sunshine today and then it will rain until some time next week.

I'm pooped! My son's blended family - her youngest son (approx 25?) came to the door yesterday afternoon. He was on his way to work and got terrible gut pains so he called 911. They advised him to park near his current location and they would meet him with an ambulance. The near was by my house. I told him I could take him right away to the hospital but the ambulance was already on the way. I asked him to call me if they released him and didn't admit him. I would pick him up. They treated him, gave him a list of prescriptions and released him at midnight. So, I moved his pickup truck in front of my house and then when and got him. He's in the guest bed now. I did also get him a street parking permit too so he wouldn't get a ticket.

Needless to say, I did not go to sleep right away so I've only got a few hours sleep. Luckily I have a very short to-do list today and some of it is out shopping so I'll get some fresh wakey wakey air while I'm out and about!

        Cheers :coffee:

Oh dear Lori, what a night. I do hope the young man gets better soon ... well, I know he will with your pampering, but you take care too. Was it suspected appendicitis?

I am just waiting for the men to get back with the Chinese. It is lovely and warm and sunny out, about 20c.

              Good morning all. :)

              Hope everyone is well .

Made it back yesterday in under 3 hours . It was a doddle getting across London to Waterloo , we were sat on the train waiting to leave within an hour of leaving our son's place.
I have to adjust back to the quiet life now, hubs has done it straight away but I liked the buzz of things going on....and looking out on the horses munching away on the grass is not the same somehow.:heehee:

              Have a great day everyone.

The sun is trying to wake up.

Quiet day here today with nothing planned but a trip to the Post Office as my plant coming from Spain was supposedly delivered yesterday.

I received notification that I have an appointment in Loule on Monday for my Biocard. At least we know where to go having made the failed appointment a week ago.

                Have a good day everyone.

                    Morning Vicky ,thanks.

Not too sure yet if I am...there's not a lot to do outside yet..well apart from tidying up, so dare I say it ...a tad boring!!! :heehee:

I knew I would feel like this ,given a few days and I will settle back to......country life .

In my ideal life I would escape to the city for Winter and return here in Spring. :dbgrtmb:

Hey ho...better start attacking the laundry I suppose.

                    Have a lovely day. xx

                      Good day,
It is warm. 38f 3c and although it is still quite dark, the weather guessers have pretty much guaranteed clouds and or rain for the next 10 days. Gloomy.

I'm glad you got home without a fuss @Upsydaisy and understand how your feel. Peddling as fast as you can and taking in lots of new knowledge and then a sudden stop kinda give me a feeling of being a bit lost.

@Victoria :fingers crossed: that your new appointment goes on without any glitches.

@Michael Hewett how is the condensation battle going?

                      @Flumpy keep safe and warm.

I went to the fabric store yesterday as they had Christmas cottons on offer and even though it wasn't the nicer ones at a deep discount, I did find two that were pretty so I bought a meter of each and they are now put away in my bag of Christmas craft materials. I also found two nice jersey knit fabrics to make some more tops too. One is solid red and the other is a solid royal purple. It will cost me a total of approximately 5 pounds or 4.5 euros each.

I do have a lot of shopping to do today and fill up the van tank because New Year's day, after our family lunch buffet, I will be giving Sam and her beau, Frankie, a ride back downtown Toronto. I have a front closet full of things for Sam that I refuse to let her try to take home on the train because they would be just too hard to handle.

                      Cheers all :coffee:

I took one of those cloths you mentioned and as soon as I touched it on the greenhouse roof, the condensation started raining down on me :heehee: I'll have to cover the cacti before I do any more, they don't want to be wet. I'll also have to take an umbrella with me I think !

Glad you're home safe @Upsydaisy

Oh, I should have mentioned that you need to thoroughly soak the cloth and then wring it very hard. It then soaks up water better than a sponge. And rarely leaves any streaks.

Sort of like with a mop. They don't seem to soak up much until they've been wet and wrung.

As you can see @CanadianLori the condensation is very thick and consists of large drops all ready to fall on my head. I will try again and do as you say with the cloth but I must cover the plants first
