    Good day,
It is lovely and sunny and 1f. I thought it was a bit nippy out there when I went out to grab the container that I had used to restart trying to make an ice candle. Not sure if it will burn properly but we shall see later.

A designer/client is coming by with some fabric for me to make her a roman shade. She is a lovely lady and always fun to work with. And later this week I get to talk to another lady about motorized shades. I'm thinking of getting some for my place too just because it would be fun to shut out the night or light with a push of a button. Will ponder that for a bit.

Have a lovely day all and cheers! :coffee:

That is big here but with metal blinds ... or can be wooden. We had them on a couple of our modern properties here but not in our old cottage which has old wooden shutters.

I don't dust that high up very often @Upsydaisy you can't see the dust at that height. I think Beryl was alive when it was last done ...
I should have used the little stepping stool, you know the type, you open it out and it has three steps and a handle. It was upstairs and I couldn't be bothered to fetch it :frown:

Dusting don't do it unless I have to; all dusted surfaces are dusty again in a month or so.
First place I owned (studio apartment) and mother descended. Open door, she comes in "Get the kettle on" already done, boiling water into tea pot and then I turn round and mother is running gloved finger along top of door frame, inspects finger looks at me frowns and then takes coat and gloves off before sitting down. Having just confirmed her opinion that I wasn't capable of looking after myself.

That's the opposite of my mother, isn't it strange how we're not like our parents.

My Mum used to spray Polish in the air, so her flat smelt like she had been polishing.

There's a certain simple pleasure to polishing that I really love, especially when done on a piece that hasn't been polished for years and is eventually brought to a mirror-like finish.

I get my kicks in some weird ways nowadays!

Good morning everyone, hope you're all bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning.
My knee is progressing OK but is quite sore and stiff despite doing all the exercises. I noticed yesterday that I have a particularly sore spot and can't see any evidence of an incision wound in the area but found that the skin has blistered up, so will need to keep an eye on things.

Weather is not looking very promising for today. I am occupying myself with tweaking the family trees. Also looking into some of the areas my ancestors came from in more detail.....I can get so absorbed in very old maps, love them!!

                      Have a good day .:spinning:

                            Good day
It is 8f -13c so has warmed up a little. And tomorrow it will be up above freezing so I little break in the cold :)

@Upsydaisy I hope you can call your doctor to find out if the blister is something to be worried about. It's got to be unnerving to see this happening.

I have a few errands to run. One is picking up supplies for my business and the other is for me. Nothing pressing.

I cut out a couple of spring/summer tops in a lovely yellow fabric. One with 3/4 sleeve and the other with sleeves above the elbow. Maybe I'll put them together this afternoon.

Have a lovely day all and cheers! :coffee:

Good morning everyone, how are you today?

Despite our cloudy forecast , we actually have sunshine at the moment....fingers crossed it decides to stay a while.

Nothing much to say really, my days are all very similar at the moment...laundry is out drying, will take a walk around the garden ( several times) to see what is on the move, emerging or even blooming. Then I will open up the greenhouse and frames.

Might consider flicking the duster around the more prominent areas that catch the sunshine as I have spotted thin layers!!!

I have been good and have managed not to look too hard for over a week now!! But the temptation is growing and I know it's there and it really should go!!!! I'll see if distraction works!!!:fingers crossed::biggrin:

Have a great day and keep safe.

                                Good day,
@Upsydaisy that is only half a report! Blister and bandage. Report please! I know when Sam had majorly bandaging that I got pretty adept at changing them so maybe you can replace some of yours so they are more sturdy? I know if much more difficult to do your own but worth a try?

I've got some errands to run. And going in and out of suppliers will be pleasant as it is going up to around 50f :)

Have a lovely day all and cheers! :coffee:
