It is miserable here. Freezing rain and the high winds make me happy. To my feeble brain, it means the nasty stuff in blowing through in a hurry

@Flumpy Happy Birthday and yes, indeed, you sure a young babe. One of my sons is only a year younger than you! I'm sorry your hubby is ill but that shouldn't stop you eating bonbons and enjoying some super sips

I've got lots of puttering to get on with inside today and doing my Hilda Ogden impersonation. (I believe someone asked me how long for my hair to dry - in rollers - under the dryer, 45 minutes, without the dryer, about 5 hours, like a big old wool blankie!)

It is very mild 44f 7c and still quite cloudy and the wind has ceased trying to blow my house into next year so that is good. I haven't gone out to see what got batted about but will get to that later this morning.

I need to get out the door and do a bit of shopping. One place has butter on offer and since the price of that commodity (along with all other dairy) has gone through the roof, any price break is something to be jumped on.

Oh, and I forgot to mention - my rollered up hair dried a lot faster yesterday as I hacked off about 4 inches of it. It looks a little like I had a neighbourhood toddler do the cut but putting it in a ponytail disguises things

Hi @ flumpy.....as I said above not looking into the future, it's not doing well I'm afraid. Very painful with pain shooting down into my lower leg now and to add insult to injury my other ankle is misbehaving too. I give up!!

Hi Lori yes I’ve noticed prices shooting up not to mention fuel too, wish my wage would shoot Up too

I’ve been planting my new flamingo tree in the garden and clearing out plants that have spread far too much, under all the bits of soil and stones I found a circular stepping stone, I will show you in my pictures

 

I've lost track of which friend with what medical issue I might have mentioned. I have two friends that have recently had their breast cancer come back. I have another with kidney issues. Another one with the bad back is okay now. I gave her a bunch of CBD fudge and it helped her loosen up a bit and be able to do stretches and voila her back is fine I have another friend who just got a hip replacement and the list goes on.. Not all of them need my help, physically but, the least I can do is try to be a friendly shoulder to lean on if only emotionally.

@Flumpy your sitting area looks really inviting. I wish we had a gulf stream to warm us up. This weekend we're going down well below freezing again. The
Sprinter temperature roller coaster is only fun on the up side.

 

Oh dear Lori!! This was a couple of weeks ago and you took her in for her surgery and I think you were going to stay over with her.......I could be wrong on that bit.
