Good morning, a little late , the frost has just lifted with the sun which is now 7c but very cold wind, my seedling are on my windowsill in the kitchen, not sure they would survive in my little greenhouse in minus conditions, I bought sweet peas and really would like to plant them out if it stays above freezing. Hope you all have a lovely sunshiny day :spinning:

Sunny but cold at the moment, but hopefully things are on the ' up' now. :hotsun:

Michael how was your day, did you mange to have time for a drive?

Flumpy can you not buy a big roll of fleece and also bubble wrap the inside of the greenhouse, I would be lost without ours.
I think it can still be a tad risky to plant outside yet, I usually start contemplating it around mid May.

      Have a fabulous day everyone.

Yes please....don't mind what so long as it's milkless and sugarless ..thanks.

Last night despite being inside the bubble wrap enclosure I placed 4 layers of fleece over all the seedlings as it was a much colder night ...I just add or reduce the number of layers according to our forecast.

We buy ours on a huge roll and I cut off pieces to fit the shelves in the greenhouse.

          Enjoy your day.

              Good day
It is already up to 33f 1c but the clouds have rolled in to stifle any hopes for a pleasant day. No matter. I'm going to keep getting ready for shifting all of the toddlers out to the greenhouse tomorrow. I'll put the heater on to maintain 40f at minimum through the nights.

@Flumpy & @Upsydaisy I don't have any fleecy stuff but I did use ultra clear plastic to create "double glazing" in my heated greenhouse. I does really help insulate. At one time I had bubble wrap, the horticultural type, but I found it a bit of a pain to put it in every year and then take it out. Lazy Lori..

Watching my show at the moment and about to start some dough for bread and maybe some chelsea buns.

              Cheers all :coffee:

                    Good day
It is now up to freezing and I believe that was the last night that we're going below the panic point. I've brought up more toddlers and as soon as the sun hits the greenhouse, they will all be shifted out there. :)

@Flumpy that is amazing! Coffee in the country :dbgrtmb: @Upsydaisy talking about weeds, some of the toddlers I brought up are cannabis seedlings :heehee:

I've also got errands to run. I had ordered, for pick up, some potting soil. 60L of Miracle gro that the last time I bought it was $13.99 and is on offer for $9.99. I'm picking up enough for packing the seedling pots before storing them to wait for next winter's new start. :yahoo:

                    Cheers all :coffee:

                      Good morning !!:)

I think we're in for a mixed bag of weather today but as long as it's mild I don't really mind.

I'm catching up with a friend in town this morning , so if ,as predicted, we have rain this afternoon I'll busy myself in the greenhouse.

Have a super day whatever you're up too ..enjoy.

Good morning everyone, I hope you're all well today.

No set plans for today as such. I might don my Easter Bunny image and deliver some Chocolate Eggs to our little family members today, then the rest of the day is all mine.:)

                          Have a great day everyone.

                            Good day
It is 40f 9c and cloudy. This is nice as by the weekend we are told that it will get cold again and I'll have to keep an eye on the heating in the greenhouse to make sure the toddlers don't get frozen.

I've got a lot of bags of top soil to take out of my van and stack at the back of the house. I didn't do it after buying it yesterday as I had company here and they take priority over dirt! I got it really cheaply considering the way things are these days. If I bought 8 or more bags, they were $1.25 each. $11.30 got me 8 bags of 20l each :)

And I'd better do that now as the clouds are getting thicker and possibly ready to dump!

                            Cheers :coffee:

                              Good morning everyone .

We can hardly see across the garden this morning as it's so misty...thankfully it's not murky though as the Sun's brightness can be seen way up high above it and hopefully it will soon disperse it .

We have to go out this morning but this afternoon I hope to continue where I left off yesterday in the garden

                              Have a fab day
