YAWN, YAWN, WAKEY, WAKEY - 2022

@Victoria it will be nice having a new roof however I don't envy you the noise you'll have to tolerate to get there. @Upsydaisy I'm glad you had one of your brood home. It makes you fell younger doesn't it!

It is 40f 4c but brilliantly sunny again. The guessers have told us that the days will heat up dramatically by the end of the week, as high as 29c . Of course it will drop again after that..

Yesterday I laid out most of the toddlers on the spots where they will be planted in as a sort of "preview" for how they will look. And since that left lots of empty space in the greenhouse, this morning I brought the last of the babies up from the cellar. The grow tents downstairs are now shut down.

I've got shopping to get done this morning and then I am going to make a big batch of meringues. Got a friend coming by for a birthday lunch on Wednesday and he loves meringues. I figured if I do them today and something doesn't go well, I will at least have another chance tomorrow to get them right.

And when I am done getting the meringues in the oven, I'm going outside to play

The metal supports arrived this morning but the builders will not be here till tomorrow. However, T'other Half got the remainder of "his" jobs done in there ... mainly take down blinds.

This is the room, guess some would call it a Garden Room ... looking toward The Courtyard (Kitchen Patio) and Front of House Garden to the right ...

... windows to Orange Orchard ... these windows will be replaced also ...

Looks to be a bit of a grey day today but still mild.

It's the 2nd anniversary of my Dear Dad's passing today...seems like only yesterday.

No builders today!
Sat out in the filtered sun for 30 minutes and there was a lovely breeze.
In now to download some pics I took whilst out and have a Red Leicester on Brown for lunch.

I've got another lovely day out there but I have a very aggressive to do list to complete before I can play.

I plan to do all of my shopping at the north end of town this morning and then this afternoon, I have an appointment with my wine guy to get my medicinal libations. I'm hoping to have all of the list completed by 2ish and then I'll have time to go out to play.

Mixed bag of weather today, we even have winds of up to 51mph to endure so I'll have to batten down the hatches after lunch. I dread to think about how the potentially broken ,battered or even uprooted young plants will be able to survive.

Well, it would be if we saw some builders! Apparently the driver is ill Sigh! So everything stays in disarray but T'other Half can go out today and do a bit of shopping. I don't want to be alone with the builders in case there are questions as I know basically zero about the project except the roof is being replaced!

@Victoria when I read the first part of your sentence "I don't want to be alone with the builders", my mind leapt to thoughts of the boys possibly being randy and chasing you around, you sexy thing you!

It is mostly sunny this morning and I'm going to read the news and answer my emails before hopping into the shower and then getting into gear for a busy day. Going to make bread doughs and also some sweet dough for chelsea buns. Most of the end products will go home with the birthday boy after our lunch today.

Didn't do much yesterday as our weather was so grotty. I can cope with most things but I don't like being out in strong winds.
Today is looking much better.

Hubs and I are off to the cinema to see the new Downton Abbey ' The New Era ' movie this afternoon, really looking forward to that.

No sign of the builders yet so don't know what's what yet . It is a nuisance as T'other Half has to move both cars down the lane.

May do some clothes sorting out today putting a few things by for charity.

Second traunche Eurovision tonight. It was the second segment of the McCann programme yesterday which I watched ... mainly because part of it is involved 10 minutes from me and I like seeing views of Luz Bay where it occurred, a beautiful place.

Just had a phone call and the builders will be here by 9,30am (normal start 8.30am) but hey ho no complaints here. T'other Half will go move the cars now.

 

Morning Vicky... Glad to hear the builders are on their way!!

It's up to you as to whether you wear one of not...we will.
We are in two separate seats at the side. I've just checked online and and so far there are only 20 booked in to see it and we're all spaced well apart. This is only us that have pre booked no doubt there will be others coming who haven't.

I've been watching the McCann programme , it must be so totally unbearable for her parents. I can't imagine how we would cope....but obviously if you have other children you just have to. Every day and hour must be pure hell.

Stopped watching Eurovision years ago when it became a political showcase.
