    Good day
I am very late. I've been busy working on court documents on behalf of #1 son for the last 5 hours and I believe that I got them right. I'll know for sure, hopefully in the next hour as I'm already tired of them, at least for today.

It is cloudy and 52f 10c. And it looks breezy. I guess I'll be wearing long sleeves and a jacket again today!

Take care all, and yes, @Victoria I am glad that the work has been recommenced. :)

Cheers :coffee: (my first cuppa of the day is now cold, I'm getting a fresh one!)

Yes, and some progress is being made ... like a roof going on! I haven't seen Van since they arrived so either he's under the sofabed or in his green tent (base of the Melaleuca) where he spends a lot of the day when it's just us here. Will go out soon when the noise stops and perhaps get a pic or two.

@Flumpy I haven't had the time or motivation to start sewing the latest pattern that I bad cut out. I spent half my day today getting court docs ready and serving them on behalf of #1 son. I hooe I got them right. I am not a lawyer and I worry about getting something wrong and spoiling the trial.

Then I had a client drop by to discuss draperies for their home which is almost finished being built. She wanted to talk fabrics and moan about her contractor. I really sympathise with anyo e having to deal with them over here mut I'm also jealous of her.

She's having 2 agas installed in her large kitchen. A big one with several ovens, etc and then a smaller one with one oven but fast elements/burners only. They are the latest greatest. Not at all like the old oil ones.

Then I had to try to get some of my irrigation redone.

It is not pleasant outside. Cloudy and 60f 24f with a stiff breeze. :(

I'm just going to cover the sun oven before it rains and call it a day :phew:

She is English and married a Canuck and lives not far from me. Yes, she is a chef. She likes to cook more than bake, hence the smaller oven. She cooked on yachts on the riviera when she was young.

                  A lovely, lovely lady!

Gosh Lori wouldn't it be better to hire a lawyer rather that have the worry over whether or not you might spoil the trial!!! Sounds like your taking a bit of a risk.

Morning everyone, a mild and so far grey ( but dry) day here.

I had a nice visit to my brother's yesterday and thankfully he seems happy and is settling down well .

I'm dedicating today to my poor plants that are waiting patiently to be planted out .Come rain or shine their borders are awaiting them. :dbgrtmb:

                      Have a fab day.

                        Lovely start to the day.

Builder still has some things to do, like render windows on the orchard side ready for the window man and remove rubbish but don't know if it will be today or tomorrow or ..... ?
T'other Half will do finishing things over the summer ...:runforhills:

Indoors with all the windows shut as two workers are chain sawing the beams into firewood for us. Knew they had arrived when Van flew in and dived under the bed, bless him. :cat-kittyandsmiley:

The outer wall will be stone clad rather than painted. A job on the DIY list. :rolleyespink:
T'other Half said my pots can go back up on the outside ledges now ... hopefully that will be today as I desperately need to tidy them. :fingers crossed:

I know you meant me Upsy. :heehee: We drink chilled red wine here when its hot and also drink it with fish! :rolleyespink:

Pots got put up on the right hand side, the trailing Pelargoniums. It is Begonias mainly on the left ledge. There are ledges/windowsills inside and outside.

                              Good day
@Upsydaisy I don't have the money to spend on lawyers. One is "sorta" helping steer us in the right direction, pro bono. To fully hire a lawyer for this job would cost about seven thousand of your pounds as our family courts are a total mess, designed for lawyers only and good at constantly delaying actions. So one appearance can turn into 5 by the time "the other" lawyer stops postponing matters. Costing approximately 300 of your pounds for each appearance! And then they come up with ridiculous excuses to put things off again. One time we turned up for court and oops, the other lawyer didn't realize his cruise ship didn't have wifi :th scifD36: and therefore he could not properly zoom into the hearing so yet another postponement.

Here is the problem that my son's ex keeps fighting. He wants to pay child support for his two youngest children and based on the government guidelines for his pay scale, not on an amount nearly double what he makes. And he does not want to pay child support for the two older adults/children- 19 and 22 years old who no longer attend school, won't work and are parasites on government pogie. Imagine having to fight paying child support for lazy adults with their own income? That is how warped our stupid family law process is! Oh, and she is defying a court order to allow him to see his youngest daughters... She refused to let him see them for 2 years, then he got to see them in April this year and now she has refused again..

@Victoria that is looking very welcoming!

I haven't heard back if the papers I served are acceptable so I am sitting with fingers crossed :)

Today I am going to a place called the Dutch Mill which is full of knick knacks and fun things. And they have a garden center, a vegetable stand, petting animals (alpacas and other friendly animals) and they also have a lovely cafeteria with all in-house baked goods. I'm meeting meeting 5 friends there and bringing 2 other along with me. upload_2022-5-26_7-10-26.jpeg

And on the way back, we are stopping at Picard's peanuts.
Peanuts for more than three decades!

They have a bazillion types of nuts and other tasty snacks to purchase and take home :) A couple of male friends have asked me to pick up Spanish peanuts and Pub Peanuts for them and I will be glad to accomodate.

Have a lovely day all. Cheers :coffee:
