    Good day
It is another lovely sunny day and I am ready to take full advantage of the free power and heat. :)

I moved my routines a day forward as it is supposed to rain tomorrow and would be useless for drying outside. So the last of the washing gets done today and I can work instead of wash while watching Corrie tomorrow morning.

And I have to put my thinking cap on. I've been invited to a Christmas party next month and need to create festive clothes that aren't too hot for a July evening.

    Cheers all :coffee:

It is a bright and sunny and breezy day.

I spent three hours in the garden yesterday and T'other Half longer ... so we plan on a more relaxing day today enjoying it.

Good morning Upsydaisy & Vicky, it’s grey and a little breezy here, it was sunshine at 7.30am, I’m the same today, no real plans, some ironing and potter round the garden…. Off to make breakfast I’m sooo hungry :)

Okay, just changed my Avatar to the beautiful Jacaranda. With this breezy weather all the blooms will be gone early. As the Dancefloor is being swept, the blooms are falling ... and clogging the water feature!

Ho very nice Vicky (do you mind us calling you Vicky?), yes my cream rose petals have been blown all over our lawn as the wind is really picking up, that normally means the rain is on its way :)

958CBB1F-3FFE-478C-868B-97267C1BA325.jpeg Just thinking of getting a cordless hedge trimmer, my neighbor has a conifer hedge running half way down our fence, he only seems to be cutting his side but leaving our side to over grown, so might knock on his door and ask if he minds us trimming it, last year he did it himself (not sure how) but he left all the mess on our side :noidea:

                      Good morning
It is another sunny morning and the guessers are still saying that later we will be getting much needed water.

I received several pictures from my oldest boy and this one really made me giggle. He has no outdoor growing space so he is trying to grow everything inside.
Yes, re-growing celery amongst other things. I have another pic I'll post in the i.d. section as it is a plant I rescued and gave to him and don't know what it is.

Today, my beloved Corrie is on and I am going to maybe do a little baking. Not too much as I don't want the oven fighting with the central air conditioning!

Have a lovely day all and cheers :coffee:

Of course I don't mind you calling me Vicky. My father's name was Victor but for some reason named me Vicky. However, the Portuguese insisted on calling me Victoria in the 80s ... and it has stuck and I use it on my paintings and my books ... and here!

I think by law they have to give back what is on your side ... quite a nuisance I think!

I have never heard that about the wind and rain. Your tubs by the fence are looking good!

Yes, he says they will be able to harvest again in a month or so. Most of his plants are ones that were neglected and donated or regrown or rescues. And then there is his experiments. These are cucumber plants. Go figure! :rolleyespink:  And a monstera from seed and coleus and asparagus ferns cascading down a book case. And lots more - I'm quite proud to have passed on a love for playing in the dirt. ;)

Over here, we can trim a neighbour's plant growth back to the property line but we daren't go one inch further. Sometimes the trimmings try to topple backward into their year but I have always made sure to reach over take away anything I have trimmed so as not to leave a mess for them. I wouldn't appreciate having to pick up a mess and I think you're right to simply ask if it is okay. They'll probably be delighted. :)

Thanks for all your advice, I definitely will ask, As it’s his hedge, but I don’t mind keeping it tidy, it’s probably only to be done twice a year.
I never knew you could grow celery from celery, will they not have to be put in soil ? :)
