In Portugal you wish a happy end of the week.

It is sunny but very windy as it has been all night but we are forecast to go to 29c.

We are meeting our friend at the river today for lunch. First time I have been out socially since my birthday. I think I will wear Jeggings and take a sweater.

Yesterday the window man said he is waiting for the glass. Maybe next week. :th scifD36:

          Good day
It is Canada Day and I have bright red flags, big and small, everywhere!

It is fairly cloudy but already 73f and going up a bit more. Got a load of clothes in the washer and those will probably have time to dry on the line before any actual rain happens.

@Victoria I hope the glass shows up ahead of their anticipated delivery. And I hope your lunch is going wonderfully. @Upsydaisy and @Flumpy enjoy this lovely end of the week day!

I had a lovely tea yesterday with my friends. A few of them had to take a box with their leftovers. Not me, I ate all of my stuff

Today is a puttering day and I will do some baking as well. And I'm going to dig into the area where I had a clematis to see if it's roots even exist anymore. Getting frustrated trying to grow those as I really love their climbing and colours.

And the legal stuff. Poo on that. I'm not touching any of it today. The brain will be allowed to be pudding. :heehee:

          Cheers all :coffee:

Yes, we hope so too. We are also dealing with the a/c man but that can't be done till the windows go in!

I had lamb and roast potatoes for lunch. I only ate a third so we have the rest for Sunday. This is where we went ...

                Good Morning everyone.

We're back to yet another weekend....how does that happen, where did the week go!!

Such a lovely pic Vicky you look fabulous and well. It looks a very picturesque place to sit and enjoy a meal.

Today looks to be a bit of a non-descript day weather wise with depressingly low temps. for this time of year.

Not sure what I'll get up to yet,but no doubt I'll find something ....come rain or shine.

                Have a super day everyone.

Thank you Upsy amd Flumpy. The restaurant was full, but it usually is. We got home just after 4pm so a long day for me.
Ah, newlyweds ... we were married in 1968... such a long, long time ago!

Nothing planned for today except for pottering for the both of us.

Have a good day out there.

                      Morning Vicky!:)

On the subject on time and passing years, it was 40 years ago last Wednesday that we moved into our house..:yikes: In some respects it seems a lifetime ago but then in others it's seems like yesterday. Hard work..yes, happy times....millions of them .:)

I agree Upsy. I can't believe we moved here nearly 21 years ago and haven't set foot in the UK since 2006 and that was to sign the papers for sale of the IoW. Gosh, sometimes I really do feel my age!

                            Good day
I'm going to have to move near to you @Victoria as you look so young!

Thank you for all the Canada Day good wishes. I had fun giving all of the little kids in the neighbourhood some Canada Flag lapel pins. That is, in between the rain.

As an fyi my house was a new build 34 years ago and I am the original owner. I wasn't interested in gardening at all until a few years ago so I made a lot of mistakes in the beginning with tree placements. Those trees have all now died of old age so I got a "natural" do-over, sorta.

I haven't decided whether I will do some wage earning today or not. If the mood strikes maybe!

Have a lovely day all and cheers :coffee:

[IMG] Lori ... and here's me thinking I need a facelift! Actually, an ex-friend suggested I have one about 10 years ago. She was a bit younger than me and had all kinds of nips and tucks and teeth jobs.

We are finding things we planted years ago are in the wrong pace now and have given many away.

Enjoy your day whatever you decide to do.

Vicky I have most of my wrinkling in my face. Should have worn a hat more while out gardening.

I've left a message at a local tattoo parlour to see if they can re-pierce my right ear. I've decided I want to wear earings again and that lobe seems to have closed.

And here's a hoot - I am sat here, with bed head hair, my wrinkly face and one earing - I kinda look like one of those little wizened pirates from the old swashbuckler movies :roflol:
