Good morning everyone, how are you all bearing up? :phew:

Another toasty day ahead of us, at the moment ( but things more often than not change) we are supposedly going to hit 33C next Monday.

I managed to have a video call with my brother yesterday, he is obviously still a bit down but there was a glimmer of an improvement in general. His budgie was chirping happily away so he has a bit of company.:)

Well this won't do, must go and do some early watering on anything that is a tad droopy looking.

Have a lovely day but keep hydrated and in the shade.

Upsy, Flumpy, Lori, Michael and all who may follow.

Pleased R seemed a little brighter Upsy and that he has his budgie for company.

T'other Half plans to go to the DIY for new blinds for the new windows. The others were at least 15 years old and naff. We have decided on cane, the old were plastic. The ones on the French doors in there to the Dining Patio are cane.

                Morning Vicky.

Things are definitely shaping up over your way now!!
It amazing how one hitch in the workings can have such a knock on effect to the smooth running of all the other plans. You've both had a lot to contend with and have had the patience of saints!!! :love30:
I'm really happy for the two of you ( and the Furballs) that the end of all the disruption is drawing ever nearer.
                It's all looking amazing.:)xx

There are still weeks/months to go to get to square one again, but now it is at our pace and timing.

Yesterday Van came flying in (he runs almost on his stomach scrunched down) and we thought 'who is here'. It was our friend Steve stopping by for a chat as he was in the general area. It is his wife Caroline who is in the UK at the moment, both with Covid. The daughter Phoebe has registered with an Equestrian School in Hampshire and yesterday was Welcome Day.

                    Good day
We had a lovely thunderstorm last night and I was delighted for the show and the free water. It is brilliantly sunny again with the guessers saying it will be going up to 80f 26c.

I'm on the hunt today. I made a top a couple of weeks back and want to make another out of the same pattern. Do you think I can find it? Big nope! Oh well, that will keep me busy.

                    Cheers all :coffee:

                      Good morning everyone.

Hopefully it will be a tad cooler here today.

We have some family down this weekend and I need to do a bit of housework in preparation but it's been way too hot...well that was my excuse ;) It can't be put off for much longer though, so I need to knuckle down and make a start today.

Hope you all find far nicer things to do and enjoy your day.:)

This is what I expect my day to be. T'other Half is meeting a friend for lunch so I image his will probably be similar.

Good morning everyone  I will be going to see a chiropodist this afternoon, I can't bend to cut my toe nails any more :old: it has become quite a struggle ...
I'll drive to our local town (two and a half miles) and then catch a bus to another little town a few miles away where the chiropodist is. I might as well use my bus pass !

The builders will have to make their own tea and coffee

                            Have a lovely day

It is only this year I have been able to do my toenails without T'other Half's help. A miracle milestone for me.
At least builders here don't expect that as they bring their own refreshments/lunch. However, we do always offer cold drinks every two hours and a beer at the end of the day.

When we were having the kitchen done, a British man came to quote for the pantries. He walked in the door and as he sat at the kitchen table (without being invited to do so) he said to me "Get the kettle on love". He didn't get the job.

Just heard that apparently my brother is very ill and that they are contacting the Dr. He sounded so much better on Monday and he even phoned us yesterday.!

The last building work we had done I was more that happy to supply drinks and lunch. I had to make it for us anyway, and the bonus was they stayed on site. The first lot were going off to buy sandwiches etc in shifts and it seemed that it was mid afternoon before the whole team were back working together. We found it beneficial all round.:blue thumb:
