YAWN, YAWN, WAKEY, WAKEY - 2022

Good morning all. Another week is done and dusted . Time is certainly flying by lately.

A relaxing day ahead with No.1 son and his girlfriend, not doing anything apart from chilling and chatting and catching up on what they've been up to recently.

Upsydaisy I’m so happy your brother is on the mend now and getting stronger, I’ve been hearing lots of people getting it in the last few weeks, my cousin in Bristol is just getting over it too.

well I’m out for a Italian meal tonight as one of our work colleagues as left so it’s a bit of a late leaving present as she only gave two weeks notice.

This morning is fresher than of late which is nice.

Today has got to be better than yesterday when T'other Half was involved in an automobile accident ... no injuries thankfully. An old man (80s on two sticks) turned in front of him in a residential area, both cars having front end damage.

Hopefully it will be a peaceful weekend for all.

 

I'm glad it wasn't a serious accident @Victoria and that husband is all right. Was the old man driving the other car or was he a pedestrian ? you said he was on two sticks ....

 

Thank you Michael. The old man was the driver of the other car! He got out of the car and was wobbly so T'other Half helped him to a planter nearby to sit down till the Police arrived. An ambulance came (I think they have to even if there are no injuries when over 60s are involved).

What a nasty experience for J, but so happy to hear he came through it unscathed. xx

It is quite calm out there but hazy. Lots of planes full of holiday makers coming in. Airports open here from 6am till 11pm so peaceful nights. Passenger trains don't run either.

@CanadianLori I hope you and grand children had a lovely time together. Grandparents are very important
and hope @Upsydaisy that you and husband are enjoying the week end with your son and friend.

I've watered most things in the tubs now (I never do the ground unless something is really wilting)
but I don't want to do anything else because everything is covered in cement dust, and lots of things have been moved out of the builders' way so it's very untidy and needs hosing down, but there's no point until they've finished building the walls ...

I'm going to try having a nice day doing some art. I belong to an art forum and every month they give you a few suggestions to try, they call it 'the monthly challenge' and for a while I have not joined in but hope to catch up a bit today.
I also want to paint a simple picture to send my cousin as an e-card on his birthday so I may do that as well.

I've turned my old garage into an art/pottery workshop but it is full of junk from the old demolished shed (waiting to be sorted through) so I'll do my art in the house.

Thanks yes we're sitting out on the patio with coffee and warm croissants, and looking at their plans for renovating their place. Looking at bathroom tiles at the moment.
Exciting times..takes us back 40 years to when we were planning ours!! The amazing apps you get now really enable you to see how your room will look ...mix and matching the wall tiles with the floor ones..great fun!! It would've made our life a lot easier ..for sure

Hi all Vicky glad your hubby & elderly man came out ok, apart from the cars.

The Italian meal was lovely, I had Garlic mushrooms & salad and Funghi al Gabriella which is Prawns, mushrooms in a Seafood creamy sauce which was absolutely yummy ho and a good chin wag
