It is called Before the Raj, by PK Lifestyles - 100% cotton drapery/upholstery fabric. It almost reminds me of the feel of Chintz but a little thicker and not shiny. With that in mind, it will still be okay because that particular chair rarely gets sat upon.

It is about 25 of your pounds per yard or $43 CDN or $29 Euros. Then So I'll lay a piece of scrap on the chair and look at it for a few days before deciding.

That looks very vibrant @CanadianLori ! and I think how it will look it depends on what sort of chair you're putting it on. I like it very much though.

I try to use my exercise bike every day for 20/25 minutes. I can't walk far - bad knees. I've come down in the last few months from 11 stone 10 lb, to 11 stone. I want to come down a bit more so that I can do the top button of my trousers.
I also cut down on chocolate - I only have one biscuit instead of 5 or 6, and sometimes I have a chocolate-free day, or week-end.

I also prefer to do things on my own @Victoria. I'm not a very sociable person and I find it wearing to be in a crowd of people. One at a time is best for me, or on-line like this.

        Good morning :)

Well not really..we're in for a rather dismal, wet day. On the bright side we have been promised that better weather is ( :fingers crossed:) on it's way next week.:blue thumb:

Had a quiet day yesterday , doing a few jobs around the house before nipping into our little local town centre in the afternoon for some groceries.

Not sure if we'll be going out anywhere today, it'll all depend on how true our forecast turns out to be.

I think your chair will look great with that as its covering Lori.

        Have a great Saturday everyone.

          Good morning Michael.

          I hope you're well today.

Have you got a wet day in store too, I think we'll go into hibernation here today!!

At least we will definitely get to have a restful day, hope you do too. It's days like this that make me wish I could go back in time...to the good old black and white movies that use to be shown on a Saturday afternoon. Love them!!

Have a relaxing day no matter what the weather brings your way.:) xx

Good Morning3.jpeg Upsy, Michael and Lori when you arise. Also to Flumpy and Redstar if you are looking in.

We are in for an Orange High Temp Warning for the weekend so there won't be much activity going on in this household. We're still watching I'll Fly Away ... think you'd like it Upsy.

Sending all who need it sunshine.

              Good morning @Upsydaisy and @Victoria
I've been up since 6.30. I've always been an early riser.
Yes it's raining here but I don't mind that. I'm having a cuppa by my patio doors and watching it coming down. I find it quite relaxing :heehee:
It's said to clear up later but I'm hoping to have a day sorting out my pottery-making shed. I want to spend time there in the winter when the garden will be alseep.

              Enjoy your days x

                Morning Vicky.

I'm going to looK that up as I've never heard of it thanks.:blue thumb:

Gosh I bet you can't wait for some cooler temps.!!:phew:

No I not complaining at all about our weather, after last summer's nightmare temps and brown, crispy scorched countryside and gardens.....this year has, for us ,been absolutely fine.
I find the heat as I get older so draining. We have had more energy for getting out and about this summer , last year we just stayed put and collapsed in any shade we could find!!
I think it maybe different here because our Winters don't really encourage plans for days out...although once wrapped up I don't mind..so long as it's dry...cold and wet are definitely not a good mix!!!

I couldn't cope with your summers but your Winter's are like our Spring....that's when I will become envious.:dbgrtmb: Having said that I do love our cold ,dry and frosty walks in Winter.
As I said it's the cold and wet days I really don't like....but I suppose we need such seasonal weather changes to help ( in the recent world wide rapidly negative weather changes) to help maintain our green and (very) pleasant land. :)

                Have a super Saturday.xx

                  Morning Upsy xx

It is not nice when our lows are the UK's highs!!!! It is too warm to do simple indoor things like sorting, be they clothes, paperwork, kitchen items. One needs cool or rainy days for such fun things.

I like to think we have three months of Summer and nine of Spring!

                    Good day
It is 63f and the skies are a bit hazy with a pleasant breeze blowing through the house. And it is only supposed to be getting up to the mid 70's which is perfect for me! I've got another load of laundry in the washer and it will dry nicely on the line.

@Victoria your photo reminds me that I never did make that beach chair. The price of wood suitable for that project skyrocketed so I pushed it back to another time. Maybe this winter.

                    Cheers :coffee:

                      :gmorning:

Thankfully our weather yesterday wasn't as bad as we were forecast. ..a couple of drizzly bits,a good few sunny spells and a brisk breeze in the evening. Nothing that stopped us from being outside doing bits in the garden in the morning and going for a walk in the early afternoon before going over to see my niece, her husband and great nephew.

Today is looking set to be a pretty decent day so I hope to get a whole day out in the garden.
If I can clear all the house and garden chores during the weekend then we have more time to take off on spur of the moment trips out when the weather is good during the quieter weekdays.

It's our brood baby's birthday today hopefully we'll catch up with him for a chat before he heads out to celebrate.

                      Have a great Sunday everyone.

Hi all. Another hot one ahead of us, last day of Orange Warning, going back to Yellow tomorrow. Time freezes in this heat! I don't feel well with it either, nothing specific.

                        Wishing everyone a good one.

It can't be pleasant having day in and day out high temps.
I use to love the heat but as I've said I can't function well in it anymore either.

                          Rest up today. xxx :grphg:

                            Good day
It is 72f 20c and quite sunny. The guessers say it is going to start raining tonight and then throughout tomorrow and Tuesday. Lots of things in the garden are starting to get "rust" from all of this wetness.

@Victoria I'm sorry to hear you are not well. We're sure a pair. I spent a good long time wretching last night and I have no idea why! I'm still not feeling 100% but I shall carry on. I've got to the the laundry finished and on then off the lines before the rain starts!

Yes, @Upsydaisy I too shall have a mop in my hands. One of today's chores is to swab the kitchen floor. Oh how exciting! :heehee:

@Michael Hewett what type of pottery do you make. That sounds really interesting :blue thumb:

                            Cheers :coffee:

Sorry to hear that you too are feeling off colour today as well. Did you eat anything different or eat someone else's cooking yesterday?
