Thank you @Upsydaisy - I'm just not 100%, certainly not incapacitated. I still got my chores done and I have one episode of Corrie to watch. :)

Me too Lori. Think my issue is a heat issue ... and reaching over 100F didn't help ... so thank goodness for a/c, We still have the Furries in as we are still just under 38c.

        Good morning

I hope this finds Vicky and Lori feeling a lot better today.

There must be something in the water as I too have been off colour since Friday. I have been taking some treatment but this bout is reluctant to budge.

I didn't do much in the end yesterday apart from deadheading and pulling up the remaining carrots and spring onions, just didn't feel like it.

Had a nice video chat with our youngest :).

Our security alarm got triggered ,not sure why but it was reassuring to receive a call from the security monitoring team in 30 seconds to check we were Ok.:)

No set plans for today......we'll just see how our day pans out.

        Have a good one yourselves.

Monday Ele.jpeg Morning all. An elephant for Lori.

We girls are a fine bunch!!! I know my lethargy us heat related. We go off Orange into Yellow high heat warning today so hopefully in the low 30s not high/100F like yesterday!

That I know of, just a Post Office run for J today ... this afternoon as it is Monthly Market (Segunda Segunda ... Second Monday) and you can't park anywhere.

            Good morning
Oh dear, all you unwell people, I hope you'll feel better today.

@CanadianLori I haven't done any pottery work for a number of years but when I did I made some thrown and coiled pots, and took my inspiration for their shapes from nature - things like poppy seed heads, pumpkins etc.
I've also made some pottery cats.

              Good day
It is 69f and mostly overcast and the rain has stopped. It poured down most of the night and my poor gardens must be waterlogged again!

@Michael Hewett I'd love to see your works. They sound like they would be soothing to see. I love cats but unfortunately discovered I get intense allergic reactions to them and it makes sense for me to get myself a pottery cat - thank you for the inspiration!

Yes, @Upsydaisy I am feeling back to "normal" again. Although my normal may not be normal to others :heehee:

@Victoria I believe you are right about the temperature swings causing issues.:blue thumb: For me, we had quite warm days, in the mid 90's by noon and then day before yesterday, they plunged. I woke up in the middle of the night chilled and my guts immediately began punishing me.

I will be helping my client put up their "elephant" romans this afternoon and before that, have a bit of shopping to do. Certainly nothing exciting is in the works. All of the campers are coming back today so Emily will be here overnight. Tomorrow Sam comes for a visit too. This means I will have a lot of driving to do as I usually take Sam back to downtown Toronto after she visits and then the next day, I'll be driving Emily home and going to the U.S. for a few minutes.

              Cheers :coffee:

                  Morning everyone.

Today is looking to be on the damp side so not sure if we are going into Southampton as planned. I had wanted to go to Wilko as they are selling their seeds as at a very reduced price. We were then going somewhere for lunch, but we could go perhaps on Wednesday instead...we'll see.

Had a good day in the garden yesterday and gave the borders a good tidy up and hubs cut the lawns.

In myself I'm feeling a lot better this morning and think the worse has passed, being home all day I made sure to keep sipping at the magic potion..:):blue thumb:.

Although my ailment isn't weather related I do think that as we age our bodies aren't so good at adapting to weather extremes or sudden changes anymore.

                  Enjoy you day everyone.

I'm glad you're feeling better today @Upsydaisy xx

I've found my camera so thought you might like to see my reupholstered and renovated chair :-

                    127_3529.JPG

It's one of four that were in my grandparents' house.
When my mother gave it to me (because it was in her way !) in the 1980s, it was wobbly and not safe to sit on so I put it in the attic.
When I moved it came from that attic to this attic but now I thought it was time to do something about it - no point in it being up there unseen and unused.

I thought you might like to see my new curtains :-

                    127_3532.JPG

                    They cost enough !
They're not up properly yet because I haven't got enough hooks,
but as you can see in the photo the wall is in a state and is going to be seen to soon,
then I can paper (or paint it) and I'm going to have a new carpet and get more hooks for the curtains.

                      Morning Michael. :)

Oh wow I like very much indeed !! You definitely have a good eye !!

The curtains are lovely, having a light and airy look.

Can't wait to see the finished room.

Morning Upsy. Good you are feeling better this morn and may have more of the wet stuff ... still a dream for us.

And morning to you too Michael. What a lovely chair and curtains ... I really like them both, clean and cheery, Springlike. I ordered four new velvet throw cushion covers yesterday.

This afternoon is hair cut day for us both. As I didn't go in April I desperately need a rework ... short in this heat!

Have a good day whatever you do.

It's surprising how much cooler you feel after having a haircut. :blue thumb:

Still dry here with the sun breaking through so we're off out into town soon.

                            Good day
It is 64f and cloudy but so far it has not started pouring.

@Michael Hewett your chair looks very nicely done and those drapes are lovely. I really like the way the green of the chair ties in with the leaves in your curtain fabric. Very pretty and the fullness certainly adds richness. :dbgrtmb: Just as an FYI my clients yesterday were thrilled with their shades which always puts a smile on my face. :)

@Victoria I'm sure you'll feel much fresher after a cut and I do hope the temps settle down a bit and give you a chance to cool off.

@Upsydaisy I'm with you there. Exploring or going anywhere on a dull day is never a treat! Seeds. You'll be proud of me. I have checked my cleome every day and in the last few days have been able to harvest their seeds. There are only 2 or 3 pods left on the plants.

As I mentioned, I have Sam coming today. Before she gets here I have my quick appointment to get a blood sample taken and I am also finishing up Emily's laundry. It was a wet camping trip so everything needed a run through the machines.

The guessers are saying that this afternoon the clouds will break up and we'll have a bit of sunshine. I'm hoping we girls can have a nice lunch out on the deck and pleasant conversations.

                            Cheers :coffee:

Thank you @CanadianLori  the green in the chair seat isn't rally true to colour, it's more of an apple green, and other things in that room are also green so it all matches.
