    Good day
It is 63f and fresh out there.

I'm glad to hear you had a great weekend with your son @Upsydaisy. My sons are too old and live too close for sleepovers so our frequent visits are usually only an hour or so long unless it is a whole family get together which lasts longer.

That looks like a comfy chair @Victoria :)

I've got a fairly busy day again today. A doctor's follow up visit and then shopping plus lots of watering to do. Later I pick up Emily for a 3 night visit. She will be here when Sam comes back.

So I best get a move on here!

    Cheers :coffee:

Monday . Morning all. Up early, making lists of shopping things. Items for Airbnb, items for our home etc. Hope to get to all the stores I need to by end of this week.
Speaking of linen day--- @Upsydaisy , I always make sure the beds are freshly changed a day before we leave on a trip.
Today, in our house we will have three guys present all who have their first name of Michael. Michael (husband) Michael (some car guy) and Michael (plumber). Nuts/Funny.
We also have a Michael the builder of Sasha. So conversations can be funny around here.
Some gardening done yesterday, suppose to rain late on Tuesday. Grass could use a cutting, not sure when, but we don't have grass police around here. Maybe by Thursday I can whip around with the lawn mower.
Anyway, have a good day all.

        Morning everyone.:)

Hope everyone is feeling well and ready to face the day ahead..

Our day yesterday was a really damp one, I don't think it stop raining all afternoon!!

I did get to feed the potted plants in the morning before the rain arrived.:blue thumb:

Still at least all the indoor chores got done and 2 loads of laundry are ready and waiting to get pegged out on the lines in a minute.

Another home-based day today...I think, but knowing us that could change. :) I have things planned for tomorrow and Thursday, so a day at home might be a good thing.

Too old for sleep overs........is there such a thing Lori?:heehee:.
I think it comes down to where they live, yours obviously sound pretty local to you....or have their own cars. None of ours are nearby or ....being in London have a need for their own vehicles.

        Have a lovely day.

Good Morning13.jpeg all. A lovely fresh breezy start here with 16c going to 30ish.

My chair didn't arrive yesterday! We didn't think it would as it didn't leave the warehouse in France till 8.50am and has to come across the width of Spain. Why they didn't send it from the Spanish warehouse? I know it was in stock there as I checked Amazon.es. Now it says delivery 15-24!

          That's all folks from here.

Tuesday. Hello all. almost 2PM here. Out with the tow car to get its oil changed this morning. Took some paperwork with me to get done, and did it.
Had a successful shopping trip yesterday for the Airbnb items.
Doing laundry. Maybe cut grass later, or tomorrow as it rained last night.
Working on packing for the trip. Lists etc.
Hope all well with you all. Take care.

              Morning everyone.:gmorning:

We had a quiet day yesterday just doing some leisurely pottering.

Meeting a friend for a pub lunch today, she's looking after her daughter's dog at the moment...so he's joining us too. Should be fun. :doggieshmooze:

              Have a super day.

Good morning all. A fresh start to the day but again a warm one to be expected.

J has Oncology appointment late morning in Alvor following his CAT an Ultrsound scans and I will go along for the ride.

                Enjoy your luncheon Upsy.

Wednesday. 8:50Am. rained last night. 71 degrees here now.
@Victoria , probably have missed some details about why your seeing an Oncologist, hope the visit is positve. Hugs.
Just continue with stuff here, getting ready for our trip on Satuday. Lists are being checked off, hope we can pack it all in the car.
                  Take care all.

                        Good morning everyone.

Vicky I hope all went well at J's appointment yesterday. :fingers crossed:

Had a lovely catch up and pub lunch with a friend yesterday and her furry companion was gorgeous and so well behaved..and we were there for over 2 hrs. Bless him .:doggieshmooze:

We have also planned another trip over to the IOW for Sept to see our other friend.

I got home around 3pm and then hubs and I walked over to see my sister for a couple of hours.

Today we are leaving early (8:15) to walk to our Drs as hubs has an early app. Thankfully its at their smaller surgery that is nearer to us, just over 2miles away.
Afterwards we're getting a bus to Winchester to do the Keats Walk this is only a couple of miles too and if my knee behaves well ( which of late it hasn't been doing) then we might also climb to the top of St Catherine's Hill, if it can't be done then we'll save it for another day. I haven't climbed it since my knee surgery last year so I must pace myself and be sensible.

I shall post in full later on Your Day ( apart from gardening). This leaflet is out of date (2019) but info hasn't changed.

                          Good Morning Mouse.jpeg all.

K's appointment went well, thank you Upsy. Her name is Magda and lovely. She said although she read all his notes she wanted him to tell her everything. Then examined his neck physically and visually down his throat. She is happy with the CAT Scan but wants another Ultrasound for clarification so set it up for December plus another appointment with herself following, also an ENT appointment in September. She was surprised no tests have been done since the op in October 2015 just quick 'camera down the throat' checks yearly. This is why I had J change from Lisbon to Algarve to Private.

@redstar Hubby had a tumour removed from his neck do it is checkups.

Magda said my Surgeon Ana now works permanently at Alvor so I will make an appointment to see her October/November as it will be 10 years for me and I haven't had a check since 2020 due to all my other issues. @redstar I had breast cancer surgery in October 2013, a hip replacement in December 2014, a knee replacement in March 2018 and hip revisions in October 2018 and March 2019, and somewhere along the way multiple mini strokes, hence me seeing a Neurologist every six months!!!

                          Have a good day all.

Morning all, Thursday, 77 degrees here.
Wow, @Victoria you certainly had a lot going on with yourself, the stress. And your dear Husband. I hope with your mini strokes, I call them TIA's there is no side effects to movement.
Yes, I would expect you need the Neurologist every 6 months, that is what my clients routine would be also.
Over here, I am going to knock wood, still cooking along at 71 years old, no surgeries and not on any man made medications. Husband had a silent heart attack about 20 years ago, we did not discover it until about 6 years ago, he's on a small dose for his H/P. they did put him on some cholesterol medications, when I looked at his numbers they were very close to normal, I had him tell the doctor to discontinue those, they can cause diabettes.

Anyway, on to todays still list and things to do for our travel on Saturday. Filled the SUV with a bunch of stuff to take down, have more to get in. Amazining how much stuff. Its the trip to our Airbnb we are going to. Did note we do have some guests locking down some weeks in September and October, even if we get one full week a month that certainly helps with costs.

Cut some grass yesterday, more to do later today, the back part. I am suppose to be retired, LOL. Have a grand day all.

Hi @redstar I never knew I had these silent mini strokes. I have never suffered a headache in my life that I can remember and I am 75. It probably was the reason for my falls. The residual effect I have is I cannot walk without assistance as I have balance issues so I use a lightweight walker and am trying to go to a cane. Makes life difficult as I can't carry things. I feel well however. I use a static cycle three times a week. The Neurologist says Physio and I take 20mg Atorvastatin at 8pm and a 150mg delayed release Aspirin at 8am.

                                Morning everyone.

Gosh that was a night of heavy, noisy rain!!!!

I have a lovely morning in store despite the grotty weather, a friend and her two children are coming to pick me up then we'll head off somewhere for a coffee, cake and catchup.

We really do need to do a grocery shop but as much as we prefer not to do so, it could wait until Saturday if the weather doesn't pick up.

I have lots of seedheads drying that need the chaff removing and then storing away until next Spring.

I'm also on the hunt for my knee brace ..can't find it anywhere. :noidea: I haven't had to use it since my surgery last year, but might find it occasionally beneficial to use in order to keep being able to continue enjoying our days out and about.

                                So the hunt will continue............:)

                                Have a fabulous Friday.

                                :spinning:
