Good morning @Upsydaisy, I hope you find your knee brace, they help don't they. I may have to wear mine again I think. Aren't bad knees a nuisance. Hope you're not in too much pain.

We had a dry night, I'm surprised to hear you had rain. However it feels like end of October here and although I enjoy rain I would like a bit of summer sunshine for a change.

I think I may take a bus ride to Swansea later on, and get some laverbread in the market. I love it. I buy a big tub and divide it into small portions and put it in the freezer.
And I can have lunch in a nice cafe I found a while go - lovely food, spotless interior, and service with a smile - what more could one want.

Have a lovely day with your friend  xx

Morning Michael, sounds like you have a
lovely day planned. Enjoy your lunch.

The rain actually woke me up as it was so noisy!!!

Yes the brace certainly helps support the knee, especially when it's going through a spell of giving out on me without notice.

As I'm posting this the rain has intensified and become noisy once again. Luckily we can keep all our windows open still.

It looks to be a day of doing duck impressions as we waddle our way through all the puddles.

      Enjoy yours Michael xx

        Good Morning Sunrise.jpeg all.
We are in for a hot weekend so not looking forward to it!

It was J's birthday yesterday and I was going to join he and John for lunch and Donald and Brenda may join too. However I wasn't feeling my best yesterday with the heat (spending time in the smallest room in the house), didn't sleep well last night and and dodgy this morning so may nor go!

        Enjoy your day Upsy.

Morning all. Friday . Down to the wire with packing etc. I can take my lab top with me on this trip in my brief case where inventory sheets are and other stiff needed for the Airbnb. So can check in with you all. And get on Netflex to continue watching it in another room where husband can use the TV in the living room.
Rained last night. cloudy now. 71 degrees.
Have a grand time with all your plans all. Later.

              Good morning!! :)

Vicky how did yesterday go and how are you feeling today ...or is it too early to really tell yet?

That's good redstar, you can send us updates and share some pics with us of your trip to the airbnb......who me...nosey......??? Never!! ;)

Safe driving today and have fun.

Spent a great morning yesterday at a nearby big GC ...mostly in the cafe..with a friend and her two children. I didn't get home until 2:30, after leaving at 10 !! So the groceries have yet to be bought, todays main task. :blue thumb:

As it looks like we're in for a run of good 'get out and about' weather I have some planning to do for next week's day out.

I also need to search for a new wake up theme too.......and my knee brace still.

Have a super duper Saturday .

              :spinning:

Morning all. A weekend is an "End to the Week" here! I too must look for a new theme Upsy ... love your beans?

Our high heat warning has not surprisingly been extended till Tuesday!

Feeling better thank you Upsy, lazed around (didn't even cycle, naughty me) and drank lots of water, had crackers and cheese for lunch and a rice crispy bar. As I cancelled Donald and Brenda went to lunch with their son at The Marina in Albufeira and John was 30 minutes late due to traffic so J was on his own for a while but spoke to a man having a hip replacement with my Dr Pinto so J gave him praises.

Safe journey Redstar ... guess it will be hot in NC.

Lori, hope you are taking some breathing space.

Hello Michael and Flumpy if you are looking in.

Morning Vicky, glad to hear that you're feeling better today.:hapydancsmil:

Nice weather here today, but sadly we're about to head out...only to do the grocery shop. Never mind.

My plan is for an afternoon out in the garden.:dbgrtmb:

Do you think they look like beans..oops, I saved them till last because I thought that they were my favourite veg..Aubergines. You've got me thinking now.:heehee: Oh well I like all types of beans too. :dbgrtmb:

Take it easy and have a relaxing day.xx

Good morning to all who are up and about.

Had a lovely day's worth of weather yesterday, neither too hot or too cool....just about perfect.:SUNsmile:

It wasn't that busy in town yesterday so the grocery shopping was done in no time at all.

We visited my eldest niece, her hubs and our great nephew in the afternoon.

So today will definitely be a garden day ......nothing will get to distract me.:fingers crossed::fingers crossed::fingers crossed:

I've also planned a day out for us on ( probably) Tuesday to the New Forest... sorted out the bus times, places to visit and a nice place for lunch....just hope the forecast doesn't change.:fingers crossed:

Vicky I asked hubs and he said Aubergine too. :dbgrtmb:
                      I hope you're now feeling 100%.

                      Have a great Sunday everyone.

Morning Michael, how are you today?

Did you go into Swansea and get your laverbread on Friday.
It's so nice to find good places to eat out, cleanliness and friendly service is as important as the food to me. I've been to a few places where we've enjoyed good food but tables felt 'sticky ' and I only have to seen dirty cutlery once.....and that's it for me, I don't return.

Yes you know me ...... far to many pics will undoubtedly get snapped!!!:heehee:

So looking for to it and especially for hubs, going by bus makes it such a relaxing trip for him, it makes it so much more enjoyable not having concerns on where to park or having to sit worrying about traffic jams as the buses quite often have their own lanes.

Whatever you're up to today have a lovely Sunday.xx

Hi @Upsydaisy, yes I did go to Swansea, but the cafe where I intended having lunch was full - it's holiday time you see. The bus was full too, standing room only even when we were several miles from the city centre.

I found a nice little cafe inside the market where I had lunch though. Looked a bit rough and ready but very clean and nice food (I had scampi lol)

Oh sticky tables :frown: now that would put me off completely - I am very fussy ('fussy bugar' is what my mother used to call me :heehee:)

Looking forward to the photos ...

I didn't sleep well last night, had a bad headache all night so I'm tired now. However I hope to carry on with making my congratulations card for my next-door neighbours, they're expecting their first child soon - a boy. I'll show you the card when it's done. It's got a teddy bear on it :heehee: ...

Hope to do something in the garden too, if the sun comes out.

Doughnut anyone? I know I've put this up before but I haven't looked for new things and I just love this ... and doughnuts!

We have gone under an Orange Warning now till Tuesday so there won't be much outside time ... except quick watering this morning then out after 8pm for an hour or so, although it is still low 30s then but the heat has gone off everything. But I am thankgul I am here and not BC Camada or Tenerife!

And that's it here for today.
