Morning one and all.

We didn't get the forecast thunderstorm and rain last night but are under warnings throughout the weekend and into next week, but I won't hold my breath and see what happens.

Our internet is still disasterous and, if it is tourist interference as J suggests, that should end this weekend with everyone going home. It affects the TV too just when we want to watch something in the evening. N'er mind.

Nothing going on here for the weekend.

 

Good morning! Looks like we are in for some sunshine…. I may pop to the garden centre today and treat myself to some chrysanthemums and pansies, last year my pansies lasted from autum to late spring ….. breakfast anyone ?

Morning all. Saturday, Sept. 2. chilly morning.
Made some Kale Fritters today for breakfast. turned out good. I use rice flour instead of reg for my fritters. have some left . Husband not into them. think they taste good. and good for you.
Just continue the process of getting house and us ready for the Tuesday exit. And some garden stuff. etc.

Good morning everyone.

We have woken to another lovely sunny day and to our son making our breakfast!!!

We sat out chatting until quite late last night as the evening was so nice.

I still haven't got round to planning our day out for when we have a day of no electricity yet , so that will be my main task after our son goes home later this afternoon...boo hooo!!

Actually we are looking for the rain ...

I think we will get some today and have put the rain gauge back up. I had J take it down for the Summer so it didn't crack with the intense heat as I had just bought it.

Nice soak in the bath this morning. Mt legs and feet really appreciate it.

Don't know what movie we will watch today. Saw The Family Fang yesterday with Nicole Kidman and Jason Bateman. Strange but we didn't see the ending coming.

Good morning everyone, hope you all had a
fab weekend.

A tidying up day today and a walk into town to buy, very sadly, a condolence card for a very dear friend whose Dad ( although he had reached a very good age) suddenly passed away on Saturday unexpectedly.

So that's it really, not sure which way round I'll do these tasks....it would make sense to walk into town this morning while the temps are still low. We'll see .

We had three light showers in the night totalling 1mm so nothing to shout about but welcomed as the first wet stuff for months, since our brief shower in June.

J has ENT appointment in Portimao midday. This is the checkup he used to go yearly for to Lisbon but has now transferred to Algarve. It should be fine as it is a followup from the CAT scan and ultrsound which were negative except for some scar tissue.

Nothing happening in my arena except exercise and waiting for more substantial rain!

sorry to hear your friends dad as passed, send my condolences , I’m going to the cemetery today to water my mums flowers as it’s very hot this week.
