On my wall in this room I have pictures of all my loved ones, sadly a good few have passed on.
It may sound silly but I always say good night to them all.

        Good day
It is 54f but again, it feels warmer. And the sun is beaming!

I'm glad to hear you expectorated your troubles @Victoria. I am the opposite of you because when I get achy, I push myself to keep moving. I guess I have this weird notion that I'll stiffen up and pay for it if I stop moving. The only time I've come to a total stop is when I was too dizzy to stand.

Happy Anniversary @Upsydaisy! I hope you have a great day.

@john558 I quite often look skyward and comment about things going on, to someone who has passed.

@redstar I've got outdoor tidying to get done too. I'll need to give the deck a thorough blow off to stop from tracking leaves in. I do have mats inside and outside the door but the wind sweeps the leaves in the minute I open the door!

Yesterday at the cidery was quite chilly. We had a light lunch there but you can only sit at picnic tables outside and there was a brisk breeze and no sun. One of the gals was silly enough to not even bring a light jacket so she tried to warm up with soup of the day. The prices were super gouging so on our return trip we visited a place we had seen on the way there. It is called "The Apple Factory" and their prices for everything were much more reasonable. I bought a jug of sweet cider and a pumpkin pie. Plus a big bag of sweet popped corn for Em's company today. It is like that pink popcorn I used get in a box as a kid but with all different colours of sweetener.

        Cheers :coffee:

          Morning all, Friday, 8:51AM.
Rained again last night. Managed to get yet another wheel barrel of limbs and twigs up to the burn pile yesterday. So late in the day, walking the 98 paces to collect the empty trash bin from the front though the lawn, just picking up twigs as I go, the bundle cradled in my arms gets large, finally got to the bin and tossed it in. Thats the plite of a wooded lot.
Got a nice walk in after supper last night also. Feeling somewhat better from that tiring trip. Takes to long to rebound. Guess its an age thing.
So today, will get into whatever in the house, always something to do. Tomorrow will be gone most of the morning.
          Take care all.

                upload_2023-9-29_19-21-43.png

                Good Saturday Morning everyone.

First requirement is an update from you Vicky, I really hope Covid is being gentle with you.

Out and about yesterday we did notice more masks being worn by the public and some shop staff. Also the two buses that we caught had all their windows open, normally they have had alternate ones open. So it does seem that people are aware of the rise in Covid cases and adopting positive behaviour.

We're in for another very pleasant Autumnal day.
Not sure what plans are on for today as our son has yet to return home after attending his friends wedding reception ....which we had expected would happen as it was held in a fairly remote place.

Whatever your day brings you ...enjoy.

Ooh, I have not been well. Yesterday I was so weak I could not walk even with the walker although I had a lazy day. Fell asleep at 11pm and woke at 2am coughing. Fell asleep again and woke coughing at 6am then didn't wake till 8.30am. I think I have cracked a rib and have a very sore throat. I am not used to getting viruses so think its taking its toll on me. Today will be Day 4 for me, Day 6 for J who has sniffy symptoms. I am not up yet. I will let you know how I am doing later.

Vicky so very sorry to hear of your suffering. I know my niece who recently had it for the second time was extremely poorly too.

I suppose your immunity might be lower too because you don't very often place yourself in more open public places, so limiting your natural immunity build up.

Keep a cushion close by for easing your ribs.....especially when coughing or sneezing. When I cracked 2 of mine a few years ago I was advised to hold the cushion to my ribs to support them and ease the strain placed on them......and boy does it work at reducing the pain.:blue thumb:

                        Take care.
                        Very gentle :grphg: xx

Loosing good friends are hard, seems the older you get the more they go, and good friends are very scarce. I have a few that are gone, and from time to time will recall their birthdate, and /or embrace the good memories we have had together. Recently, when I was in Cleveland, Ohio, met up with my cousin Richard, he is now 72 years old, we grew up together, he's like a brother I never had. Had to give him some extra hugs before we parted. No one has a crystal ball.
I think as we get older we have to count our blessings if we even have one good friend.

Morning all. A rainy Saturday. its 63 here almost 10AM.
Nothing major planned today. Just cleaning out stuff I guess. If it stops raining, can get outside again. Later some food shopping. Nice to be home. Have a good day all.
