      Good morning everyone.

A dry but pretty sunless 1st day of October.

Vicky and J I hope you are now both beginning to slowly but surely feel a little better each morning on waking. It will undoubtedly take you a while to regain your full health so keep up the chilling out. :):blue thumb:

We're doing the same here today, just chilling with our youngest before he heads back to London . We probably won't get to see him again until after his Winter escape to South America ,unless we can work a visit around his work schedule before he goes off on his adventures.

I hope you all manage to find time to put your feet up and rest and relax today....be kind to yourself.

Upsy, your Fairies can dance in my waterfalls.

Morning all. I had a good night's sleep but have woken with a very sore throat which makes my ears hurt when I swallow. Just having my Paracetamol. I am sure (and hopeful) this is my last bad day. Can't speak for J but hope his breaks too.

Yes, we will have another layabout day watching movies.

Morning Vicky...that good news , hopefully you'll both steadily get back to normal .:hapydancsmil: It'll take a little time but you're on the ' up ' that the most important thing.

Find a great spirit lifting movie to relax to and enjoy.

At least you are lucky enough to look out on lovely warm sunshine too.

I don't drink coffee Karen, but have been drinking Ginger Tea with Honey.

Hope your ear infection quickly clears and pleased your blood tests were good.

              Enjoy your meal out.

                Good day
It is 58f and the skies are clear. A great day for line drying the rest of last week's laundry :)

Goodness, I sure hope everyone starts feeling better fast. We haven't got many days of mild temperatures left and need to be out "in it" as much as possible!

I've got pizza dough rising and will be making panzerotti to keep in the fridge for when Em wants a snack outside of meal times. I've had teenage girls filling the house with giggling and general cacophony on and off since Friday with today being the first day of quiet. :phew:

And I'm busy waffling over whether I want as many canna next year. Obviously I need to make that decision before commencing the rhizome cleaning and saving.

In the meantime, my show is on and I shall get myself a cuppa.

                Cheers :coffee:

Sunday morning to you all. 9:30AM 65 degrees here.
Hope all is soon on the mend. Anyone ever use Vicks, love it when I have a cold. But knock wood have not had a cold for years. Drink plenty of fluids, chicken soup etc.

Had a lovely visit from a new garden friend, she is on another Garden Forum, that actually has folks on it from my county, she came by and I gave her a huge box of Hardy Geraniums to plant in her yard. When I thin out my Annabelle Hydrangeas, she's getting pots of them also. Had a sweet dog with her, a precious soul.
Managed to cut the front yard and divert the fallen leaves to a nice area using my tractor blower part. So it looks pretty clean now, until the rest decide to fall. But with rain again last night, the back portion has to wait again.

Yep, @CanadianLori , had that delima once with Canna's , they do multiply, I got simply tired of it all, and gave all of them to a friends daughter. But they are pretty. Just don't like dealing with flowers I have to store for the winter.

Well, on to whatever in the house that needs attention. Have a good day all.

                      Good morning all.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend and feel refreshed and ready to face the new week ahead.

Vicky I have everything crossed that you and J are still progressing in the right direction with your recovery.

Lori I have to admit to having to Google panzerotti as I'd never heard of it before, it looks very yummy. I've only looked at some images so have no idea how they are cooked. To me they looked as if they are fried so I'm wondering if they can be oven baked instead to help reduce the calories, we tend not to fry food so I will delve deeper with my research.

Feel a tad sad as I'm not that optimistic as to whether we'll get to see baby son again before he trundles off on his Winter travels. He has deadlines to meet and usually works a fair bit at weekends......the price he has to pay for having such long holiday breaks. We'll have to wait and see.:fingers crossed:

redstar yes I use Vicks when I have a migraine...it really helps to soothe my head.

I did a good couple of hour's worth of tasks out in the garden yesterday afternoon after our son left us. Desperately attempting to keep on top of the acorn drop over all our patios, they're lethal if you step on them ....it's like you're on roller skates !!!:yikes:

Keeping fingers crossed that our forecast doesn't change for tomorrow as we might take the Redjet over to the IoW instead of the normal ferry. I have some candied ginger ready to take with me and a small flask that fits into my shoulder bag will be filled with Ginger tea. Better to be prepared!! :blue thumb:

                      Have an enjoyable day.

                        Morning all.

Think I am on the mend, just still a sore throat which affects my ears. About to have a Paracetamol (I take 1g effervescent ones). I think J will take a test today as it is now a week for him.

Nothing planned for today and we still have two days of above temps to go.

                          Morning Vicky.

 That's brilliant news, always nice to start the week on a positive note. :):blue thumb:

Your pic is so beautiful, it looks so restful.I wonder where it is.

We , well not necessarily here, are suppose to hit a bit of unseasonably warm ( by our standards that is :heehee:) weather too over the next couple of days. It is very pleasant here at the moment...long may it last.:fingers crossed:

Take it easy and have a lovely day.xx

                            Morning Upsy

Had I felt better when I uploaded the pics I would have tried to find the location. It is lovely.

Back on the cycle this morning as I missed last week not feeling well even though I was testing Negative at the time.

I am expecting a rooted cutting of a Double Gardenia jasminoides from Spain and succulents from Malta so hopefully will plant those up later.

You have a good day too. Vxx

                                Good day
It is 59f and as it is still very dark, I'll have to trust the weather guessers saying it is clear. It got up to 80f yesterday and was absolutely lovely :spinning:

@Victoria I sure hope you both get this bug behind you. I absolutely hate getting sick. It is such a waste of time!

@Upsydaisy I don't own a deep fryer anymore so everything is either air fried or baked- well pretty much the same thing. I bake my panzerotti. Basically it is a folded over pizza so a one handed meal. :)

Ah, yes, @redstar -Vicks. I remember that smell. A few years ago, there was a brand of Kleenex that had vicks aroma in it and they were great when you had a few sniffles! Wish they still sold it.

I got crabapples picked and processed yesterday. I extracted enough juice for a batch of jelly. That is now frozen and will be waiting for a day when I'm in the mood for canning. Most likely I'll make cranberry sauce at the same time and then can them all. Some of the sauce will be for Christmas gifts.

Today, I've got lots of little chores to putter around with and hopefully complete. And I need to go to Canadian Tire. These are stores where they sell all automotive needs, household supplies, gardening supplies, etc. Something like a diy center except without the lumber/building supplies and then automotive added on.

                                Cheers :coffee:
